    Thanks. I'm consider buying a 18 Macan GTS or S. I noticed that your car's underbody shield has some oil stain. Have you encountered any oil leak problem? Thanks again.

    • @Miu_Tube
      @Miu_Tube  2 года назад +1

      👍🏽 they are great cars! I noticed the oil stains as well, but I haven’t had any oil leak issues. It was there before I started doing the oil changes myself so it could have been just a messy oil change at the Porsche service.

    • @toyouall
      @toyouall 2 года назад +1

      @@Miu_Tube I suggest you have it checked, could potentially be a head gasket seal leak. Good luck!

      @@toyouall Bought my 18 gts with 19k in Feb and just noticed the common timing cover oil leak on the driver side😩. Warranty expires in 9 months.
      My GTS also has burning smell from time to time in garage. Dealer says it’s spilled-over coolant…
      I’m just not confident with owning VW group cars now. Golf r has coolant leak at 30k and Macan gts has oil leak at 22k.🥲

    inner side of the splash shields look wet, i think you have the known oil leak from timing bolts

      @Miu_Tube  8 месяцев назад +1

      The notorious leak that Porsche should have a recall on! I’ve been planning on replacing the bolts using the kit from Flat 6 Motorsports.

    BMC is the OEM manufacturer for Porsche air filters. Do not buy a Fram, Purolator, etc. air filter as there is a big difference in the materials. Especially if you want to maintain your vehicle in optimal condition. Denso makes the OEM air oil and cabin filters for your Land Cruiser. Lexus vehicles, too. Mahle or Mann make Porsche's OEM oil filters. I would also change your transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant on both vehicles more frequently than scheduled. They provide you with a much longer scheduled maintenance because the auto mfg. will get lower "cost of ownership" ratings. After your vehicle is out of warranty, seek out a good independent garage to maintain your vehicle, using OEM, not aftermarket parts. Preferably a mechanic that is factory trained. If you get into an accident, use OEM sheet metal, not sheet metal from China. It is cheaper, but there is a difference in "fit and finish," quality, and body gaps. I used to work for Porsche and Toyota R&D. Retired now.

    Do not use that M1 0w40 in a newer turbocharged engine! These are DI and they can be harmed with the high SAPS content! If you wanna go with 0w40 go at least with Castrol 0w40 or even better Motul. Look up your viscosity and approvals too, it’s free on the Mobil website
