Binna Burra Lodge has a close relationship, a symbiotic partnership forged from mutual respect and a shared passion for conservation.
In 1930, conservationists Romeo Lahey and Arthur Groom led the formation of NPAQ as Australia’s first dedicated conservation organisation. Four years later, they gathered more than 90 NPAQ members to form the company now known as Binna Burra Lodge.
Together, they fought to conserve national parks across Queensland-a fight NPAQ and Binna Burra Lodge continue today by advocating to expand protected areas and national parks throughout the state.
