Ah, how nostalgic. I got this set as a kid. I initially wanted the castle that came out before this one, 6090, but that set came off shelves before I had the money to buy a big set :)
This set brings great memories to me as a kid
I remember having this set as a kid. I checked my instruction booklet file and sure enough, I still have the instructions. Maybe I'll dig through my drawers and rebuild it. ^_^
I have this awesome set. Loved the knights design, the king and queen. The projectile launcher was the best of the set. Can't wqit to hear Jang's thoughts on this castle set!
I got this when I was 4 in 2000 for Christmas and I built the whole thing, my first kind of "big" Lego set but wow so nostalgic for me
How much memories... I so regret, that when I was a child I disambleted that set and now it's immposible to recreate it...
My mum had this set and she passed it down to me. Many many years of play had with it when I was younger!
I'm not old enough to have full nostalgia over this set, but I do own a few of the parts. This was awesome.
I just noticed on watching this speed build that the skeleton uses the 2002 head print (Orient Expedition/Alpha Team Mission: Deep Sea/Deep Freeze) instead of the original one. No other substitutions apparent. I'd never had a chance to see the Queen Leonara, Princess Storm or John of Mayne minifigs up close since LEGO Creator: Knights' Kingdom.
I would have loved to have one of those sets with raised baseplates, but my parents rarely let me have real expensive sets.
Would you ever consider using elevated baseplates (or whatever they're called) in New Jang City?
I had this set as a kid! I still have almost all of the pieces (even the banner) however, my mother accidentally donated the raised baseplate to a charity shop some years ago not knowing it was LEGO :( Looking forward to seeing the review!
I have the same kind of base plate
I wish lego would bring the classic themes back.
Im not keen on the modern story driven themes. It seems they think that every original theme is gonna be the next ninjago or bionicle
I used to have that set but i lost half the pieces and now i transformed it to a bunker
How much did you buy this for jang everytime ive seen its its been ridiculously expensive
It was probably ridiculously expensive, but I'm assuming it was pretty much paid for thanks to the Patreon (considering the set was decided on by the Patreon community through a series of polls)
It was like $100 USD, so well less than original retail adjusted for inflation.
How much it worth now?
How did you get that?
