This is for sure one of the better looking Lego Castle sets that they've released as play sets. The stained glass, the detail, all of the height, it is just a great set.
Not only is it fun to see the build come together, but seeing the superyoung Stacey be as happy as can be when she originally got it for christmas was a fun sidestory. I would have gone through the roof as well with such an amazing present.
I remember my first big lego set, the old Black Falcon Knight's Castle (6073), apart from the thin thread for the drawbridge and maybe a horse saddle clip being broken off, I think everything is still intact and I can just rebuild it.
Kudos for Lego being such a sturdy system and kudos for Bricks and Giggles for an fun upload.

What a great set. And the oh so sweet Christmas video totally warms my heart. Your brother exclaiming “oh no“ and “you’ve got to share“ cracks me up. Another highlight is when Little Stacey says “I’m so happy I could cry“. Too much cuteness! I have requested this before, but you have got to give us a little tour of your collection and how you store it. You have accumulated too many cool sets to not share what it all looks like together in one place. Keep up the great work and thanks for doing what you do. We are watching

This is a really interesting castle set. Being able to switch around the towers was a neat idea. Personally, I do like the 2006 remake version more, but I really enjoy hearing how much this set means to you. Nothing can beat nostalgia!

I was obsessed with this set as a kid! I remember building it with my dad and the tragic day where I accidentally fell on it and crushed everything lol
This was my first time watching one of your videos and it was great. Keep it up!

This is amazing! I distinctly remember many of the props from this set, especially the green base! Wow, I got the set for Christmas when I was but a small child, but when we moved to another house, it essentially got lost and I never ever saw anything of it... till today!! I might as well try to hunt it down and see if I can buy one off eBay or the like and recover a nostalgic centerpiece from my childhood. Great video! I stumbled upon it by sheer chance :) Subscribed instantly. This made my day

Great video! Those chrome swords and crowns are brilliant, and there's a couple of pieces that I thought were newer (like the pot helms) but clearly older than I expected :D

Haha nice t-shirt! I had those LEGO football (or is it soccer for you?) sets, so that brings back memory.
I've always had mixed feelings with this Castle: I've grown up starring at the LEGO catalogs, wishing I had it, but once grown up and watched a few reviews, I've since realised it was one of those 2000 set that were built on huge bricks.
On the other hands, the raised baseplate is so huge, and greatly detailed, the shape of the castle is also interesting (out of all the Castle sets released until 2020, there are only two that I like because of the shape: 6074-1 Black Falcon's Fortress, and this one.
The minifig selection was also great, I was especially drawn to the female knight, I think in Nexo Knights Macy is based on her (is Nya from Ninjago also based on her?).
And of course the villain were one of my favourite faction, the bulls knights. I think that even by today's LEGO standards those bull builds still hold their own quite well (something that's not necessarily true with all the vintage castle sets).

Thank you very much for reviewing this set. I always wanted this as a child, but never got it back then. It's a great set I think, not the best castle, but still a great one.
Awesome video as always and it's nice to see someone who has a soft spot for Knights Kingdom 1 sets reviewing this, since the castle has a pretty bad reputation among the LEGO castle community.
I'm not the biggest fan of the big tower/turret element, but I think with the blue roofs on top it looks great! :-)

Glad you enjoyed the video! Yes, this was definitely a transitional castle for LEGO. A little of the old and the start of the new! 😁
