Ex Post Facto is a quantitative research design. It therefore uses quantitative methods of data collection: Questionnaires, schedules, tests and examinations. However, if you combine it with another quantitative method (multi-method) or a qualitative method (mixed-method), then you can combine both quantitative & qualitative measurements
