My father worked for the telephone company all his working years. He was Elvis’s “telephone man”. When Elvis needed phones or work done he’d request my father be sent. Dad would drive to the restaurant across from Graceland where he would be met by one of Elvis’s security men. My dad would follow the man back to the house. Seeing the phones in your video took me aback. Thanks for the memory.

I was 16 years old when Elvis died. They interrupted whatever show was on with a special report announcing the passing of Elvis. I felt like my heart dropped to my feet. I cried all that day couldn’t eat or sleep. He meant so much to so many. Elvis was special.
I was 23 and pretty much had the same reactions. I was torn up over his death and left early from work. At first, I thought it couldn't be real. When I walked into my mom's home, both she and my sister were still in tears and I said " Is he still dead?" We all cried together. A member of our family had passed as far as we were concerned. Now, 46 years later, it still feels the same. Elvis, we love you and miss you. Rest in Peace EP!❤️
My first time at Graceland was in June of 1978 less than a year after Elvis passed. Dodger was still living there. We walked up the driveway. They had a barricade stopping people from approaching the house but we did walk to the gravesite. Elvis was and still is a phenomenally special person. I was struck early as a toddler and finally performed as an ETA for 10 years. Elvis gave that to me. Nice work Jordan. I consider myself as a pretty knowledgeable fan with one family memeber being a close friend to Bill Black. I have to say this and all of your Elvis week videos are done very tastefully and with class. 👍🏻😎
I love graceland I've been there 3 times I just went there on April 9th 2021 and I had the chance to walk up to the house and his grave at 7:00in the morning and walked up with nobody else around by myself and I loved it I felt like I was meeting Elvis walking up the driveway early in the morning it was amazing took alot of pictures as I was walking up the driveway and took pictures of the mansion as I was walking up closer and closer to the mansion
My Elvis story: on June 26th, 1977 Elvis played his last concert at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, I was 18, my Mom and I loved Elvis so we decided to go to his concert unfortunately his concert sold out in four hours!!! We were disappointed, then less than two months later he passed, then we were absolutely heartbroken. I've been to Graceland 4x's and toured his home twice. I feel Elvis there, its like he will walk down the staircase at any moment! Thank you Jordan, I love your travels.
Thanks for sharing your story. I have one too & I always enjoy hearing other stories. (June 26th was my son's birthday but he died at 14 from complications with cancer treatments) Anyhow, my story begins with my father sharing the exact same b-day as Elvis, Jan 8 1935. I got to see Elvis in concert when he was at the Capital Center in Wash DC in May of 1977 and I still have my ticket stub. :-) I was so devastated the day Elvis died and my mother was such a sweetheart & pampered me with TLC all that evening as I watched the TV coverage for hours. The following year on the 1-year anniversary of his death, my mother died suddenly. So my father shares the same birthday & my mother the same death date but a year later. How ironic is all that?? Anyhow, that's my Elvis story. Thanks for yours. I still haven't been to Graceland but it's on my bucket list. My bestie has been there and she shared her experience with me but I'm still waiting for my turn. -Take care
My Elvis story! His comeback special in Burbank! I was across the street @ a Bobs Big-boy restaurant & the people putting on the special came into the restaurant & asked if anyone would be interested in coming across the street for a surprise concert! I said SURE! @ the last moment they decided they’d have an audience! I was 9 months pregnant with my 3rd child! So,I waddled over to NBC studios & sat myself down & out ELVIS WALKED! I almost gave birth then & there!
Me too. Saw him in Louisville ky In may 1977i was 14 ...i saw in 76 also. I told my aunts that we were not goin to see him again. I just new it. I just felt it. 3 months later ...yea. i got goose bumps an everything when i first saw him.
I follow a lot of UTubers and I have to say your stories and vlogs are the best. I learn so much it's amazing! Thank you Jordan! The celebrity stuff, the places you go, fantastic. I was fortunate enough to go to Graceland in the 90's when I was on business.
Jeff, that’s awesome. I agree, Jordan is fantastic. He is so thorough and does such a great job. What other RUclipsrs do you follow? I’m always looking for new content to check out.

Great video! I watched the whole thing and loved your presentation style. Watching the new Elvis movie has me searching for more vintage Elvis stories.
How cool that you took us on the tour again of Graceland, that place really is a place out of time and so very well kept up. the tour of the outside with the grave site was really amazing, happy and sad all at the same time. What great history there is there and knowing that Elvis grave with be protected is a very good thing. Very sad about BenJamin but he is in a great place as well so people that love him. Thank you Jordan. We are so happy you guys are having a fun time
Thank you Jordan for taking us with you on this Elvis week tour this was the icing of the week. I saw and learned a lot more than what I knew and I am a big Elvis fan, so thank you again for a great job.
Really liked this vlog. It's real sad to see his grave. Such a wonderful person life cut to soon.. Good picture of you and Ginger. Thanks for sharing Elvis Week with us. Another great vlog!
She was so lovely that she sued Vernon because he would not build her mom a pool after Elvis died. She lost and was banned from Graceland. She went back to Graceland after Vernon and Dodger died!!
Not true. She loved Elvis and he loved her. Vernon corrected the rumor that she was banned from Graceland. He said she was welcome any time. He Aldo said Elvis told him he loved Ginger.
Ginger isn’t anything special to many people but she was special to Elvis so to me, this vlog was awesome just to be able to get to see her through your lens and know that she was with Elvis. I’ve seen your other vlogs on Graceland but it’ll always be like seeing it for the first time every time when you go. Thank you so much for taking me with you once again. Keep on being you!! Rub Jah’s tummy for me please!! 🦴🐾❤️
I will forever have WAY WAY more respect for Ginger then I ever will for gold digging (seems no body wants to be alive around her) ...ugg...can't even say her wtf did she do to her STUPID FACE .... That's NOT Priscilla house...can't stand videos that are claiming it is...
Really enjoyed this. I’m 40 and a new Elvis Fan!!❤️👑🙏🏼 Thank you, you did a excellent job. I have been doing a lot of watching bits on youtube learning. I never knew why people adored him. Now I do!❤️❤️❤️
Seeing this video in April 2023, so sad 😭 Lisa Marie is no longer here. This video had alot of time & work & respect put into it. I was 7 yrs old when Elvis died, I remember it like yesterday, Remember feeling very sad the little girl (Lisa Marie) didn't have her daddy anymore. Thank you for this Precious footage.
This was such a beautiful video Jordan. I loved it. We were there years ago and it was so exciting and so touching to actually be there. We felt his presence there back then. Watching your video took me right back and I felt those same emotions. Thank you Jordan!
Thank you so much Jordan. I loved him so much and felt so sad watching but at the same time it was great to have that virtual tour. I'm Australian and intended going to Graceland last year, unfortunately Covid ruined those plans. I have Gingers book, possibly every book written about our beautiful Elvis. Ginger is still a beautiful woman. Thanks again Jordan 💕
Having just watched the latest Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler which was beautifully done, I knew I had to come to your channel and revisit your Elvis videos. They are always top-notch. Thanks for being a class act!
I've been to Graceland twice. First time was on my way to Louisiana from Iowa; second was on my way back from Mississippi. Spent the night near Beale St. Ate the ribs at Blue's City Cafe. Highly recommend! Was unable to enjoy the nightlife there as had kids with us. Would love to go back again but not during Elvis week as it is too hot. On the way to Mississippi we got in to Memphis at 1:30 am so we parked on the little drive next to the wall. My name is on that wall somewhere. It's been about a decade so I'm sure it is no longer visible. Been an Elvis fan since I was a little girl. Was 12 when he died. Thanks for all of your videos Jordan! There are many places you have gone that I'd love to go to but will never be able to make the trip.
Great job Jordan! Very respectful! I would love to see you get an exclusive interview with Ginger considering the dignity and respect you have given to her and the family and estate of Elvis Presley. Thank you!
This was so touching Jordan. You did a great job on this one, and on Elvis week. It truly was a different time and I guess that's what makes Graceland so enduring, it is still as Elvis wanted it to be, all those decades ago. The green shag carpet on the walls and he and Priscilla's wedding china on the table. It's just magic. You put a smile on my face in very dark times. Thanks for sharing. Love from Australia.
This vlog may have been one of the best mini-documentary I have ever seen, with being respectful at the resting place, asking permission around each place you visited. And most of all having grace to treat with kindness and love to Mrs. Ginger Alden, I was wish people would do this all the time she is a loving person, I hope to meet one day. I think paying respect to Benjamin still broke me being that, the young man had some much on his shoulders we knew nothing about. Thanks for sharing I might make it to Graceland next year.
I think it's remarkable that Elvis got to have his family with him overseas when he was in the military. He definitely was very connected and loved his family.
When he first joined the army in 1958, he moved his family to Texas where he was stationed at Ft. Hood. Unfortunately his mother's health worsened, and she was returned to the hospital in Memphis.
His manager arranged that if he agreed to go from entertaining the troops to enlisting. He did his basic and advanced training and that's it. Can't believe he got a purple heart for that. Veterans now who actually saw blood and lost limbs live on the streets. They live in disGRACEland.
@@searchingforsigns8445 Elvis didnt get a purple heart, there wasn't any combat, Elvis served during peace time. Stop spreading misinformation, about someone that you know little about.
@@searchingforsigns8445 , you are extremely disrespectful and uninformed. I don't what's made you so hateful and bitter, but a psychiatrist might be more beneficial than RUclips.

When I visited Graceland years ago the shuttle was not running and we got to drive our car on the property and park behind the house. It was our one and only visit. Still looks pretty much the same. It was awesome to see. Elvis fan here forever❤️
Lies, lies, lies...born and raised in Memphis. Grandparents were acquainted with Elvis personally, and he picked up my mother as a toddler. Not to mention for the first 17 years of my life I lived near Elvis Presley boulevard. And even before they allowed tours the best you could do is walk up really close but couldn't even take pictures of the house at all once you was on the property. Never has anyone ever been able to drive on the property. So why you want to say what you say is beyond me but it's not true
The Memphis series of videos are the best you have done ever! To see something and share it is such a gift to those of who may never get to go. Thanks!
I have been in that mausoleum several times and it has been open every time. There are an unbelievable amount of things left there for Elvis. The other thing that is incredible is Elvis was only there for a few months. It has been for sale ever since and no one will buy it. When I have seen that mausoleum it has been in good shape and cemetery has as well. I'm sure the pandemic has had an effect on it.
Always nice to see Graceland and the surroundings. I've taken the tour 18 times and I always feel like I see something different. Thanks for sharing!! Even a Spa Guy photobomb at 26:51. :)
I remember my 1st trip there back in 2009 travelling from Australia. I was shocked at how low the front fence was, thinking i was amazed that people are not jumping it. I found the kitchen quite dark. The meditation garden, omg so sad
When we went in November of 2020 the doors weren’t locked and we were able to walk around as well as sign the guest book. It was a chilling experience. I had to see his and his mother’s original resting places. I really hope they open the building back up. I have tons of photos on the inside. So sorry you weren’t able to get in. Love this video and can’t wait to be back in Memphis!!
The creator of our Elvis RUclips channel and podcast (The Jungle Room), Jaime Kay did the interview with Ginger. She did a great job! By the way, Vernon had the flowers handed out to the fans after the funeral. I still have mine
This is a great video! I've been to Graceland several times but noticed some things in your pics that I didn't notice while I was there and that was cool! I have never been to the place where Elvis was originally buried and I thought that was a great tour that you gave there! I would love to meet Ginger. I bet she could really tell some awesome stories if you could ever get the chance to interview her! She seems really sweet. Thank you for sharing this tour with us! 🎤🕺❤
There will never be another one like him! I begged my mother to go in November of '76. I was 12. I lied and said I was going with a friend who would pick me up and I would be with her at the concert. Her parents did pick me up but I had no ticket. I had to buy one when I got to the arena and I was alone. But I did not care. I had to go! Bleachers seats behind the stage. He was incredible. Beautiful voice. So glad and grateful my mother let me go because the following summer he had passed. I was heartbroken. Still love him to this day ❤️
I must say that I loved Elvis. I am a African American woman. I am 67 years old. I grew up watching his movies. I had a crush on him too! I felt very sad when he passed. Yes he was only 42 years old but he lived a lot in those 42 years. He accomplished a lot. He had a good spirit. I am reading a couple of his books. He loved his parents. I can relate to his experience being poor. I grew up in Atlanta Georgia. He liked soul food also. I smiled when it was said Elvis favorite fast food was the Burger King whopper mine too! He was a blessed man. Love u Elvis rest in peace!! God bless you!
I'm glad you get a feel for it. If you ever get a chance, definitely tour the house.. you can sorta feel the spirit of Elvis in those walls.. his kingdom
Excellent job sharing your experience! Learned some and I love that! Never tired of Elvis. Love him dearly. Thank You So Much for your commentary. Peace.
I can see why Elvis wanted to come home to Graceland. The place is drop dead gorgeous. It really feels like a home and not just a big Mansion. He may only lived 42 years, but half his life was in that place. Even I would sacrifice my lifespan for it!
I have been to Graceland three my first visit was a great moment. To realize that Elvis once walked in that area. Mediterranean area is a peaceful place. The second time I went again it was with my three year old daughter. And again with my daughter for the third time. Today 6/28/22 we went to see the movie Elvis we enjoyed so much. What a life Elvis lived made so many people happy, thank you Presley family for sharing Elvis with us.
I can see why Elvis loved her so much that he wanted to marry her. She’s seems very sweet and very thoughtful. I like her. Thank you, Jordan for sharing this Elvis week with us. It’s been a special week.
Lori H Elvis did not want to marry he he thought her and her family was using him and she stole from Elvis I do not think she appears to be what isshe she makes out they were goung to get marry but Elvis no way did he want to marry her as she said !

Wow! Cool video and great information. How fortunate you got to meet Ginger Alden, ask those questions and share with all of us! Thanks so much Jordan!
Really enjoy your videos, Jordan. His middle name was Aaron. The Army had spelled it wrong. I saw Elvis in concert in May 1977. My mom took us to the department store that was selling the tickets. We arrived about 3am the night before and slept in the car. A police officer woke us up and said it's not safe and told us to leave. We left, then went right back lol. We were within the first couple people at the door when they opened. We got tickets for our entire family. Needless to say, they were in the back of the arena. Mom got a note handwritten by Vernon, thanking her for the flower arrangement she sent to the funeral. I think he answered as many as he humanly could. I'll never forget the concert and still have the ticket :)
Now that is called respect to the people they knew made Elvis who he was. He was not just an outstanding person but it seemed his fans were and still are awesome to this day!!!
I never been to Graceland it was so nice to see where Elvis lived; glad to see his plot with his family is on their premises; thank you Jordan for sharing Elvis Week with us it’s wonderful to see and feel all the love for Elvis and his memory 🙏

Hi Jordan the Ginger Alden thing was amazing your objectivity on everything is really great to me on all you do ! A great lady for sure and your matchups of course perfect to see !
I love I love Lisa Marie too . However she wasn't the one treated terribly after her father passed away she's the one that treated her mother so terrible. Priscilla was a wonderful mother. She couldn't she couldn't keep up to the lifestyle and the gifts that that Lisa's father used to give her all the time, she was very spoiled and she did she resented her mother Priscilla because Priscilla was a disciplinarian, this was actually raising a brat. He loved his daughter so much but he gave her too much and did too much and and spoiled her. Elvis loved his daughter but he did not really know how to other her with discipline Any child that isn't disciplined turns out very spoiled. This actually contributed to Lisa Marie's wild lifestyle after her father was gone, due to Lisa's wild lifestyle and uncontrolled spending, she nearly lost Graceland . Priscilla took over and saved Graceland for her daughter, Graceland would not be there anymore it would be owned by someone else other than the Presleys, if it hadn't been for Priscilla has been treatedterribly by her daughter and so many people dislike her because they believed Lisa's unkind words about her mother.😢 We all owe Priscilla a lot of thanks for saving Graceland for her daughter. My heart truly aches for Priscilla the way she's been treated and talked about, Priscilla's life with the king of rock and roll was not all wonderful Elvis is cheating and lying to Priscilla broke
@@angelajameson7902 Yes she was but it was because of how she treated Elvis..Even Lisa said " She made Elvis unhappy." She in it for the money n only stuck it out for her parents.. Elvis purchased a house for them n on the day he died, she had the nerve to ask Vernon who will be paying the mortgage on the house now that Elvis died... That's why Vernon didn't want her around anymore...He knew as well as everyone was using Elvis...

I was sixteen when he died and I bought 200 white carnations and sold them to mourners, in line at the gate to view his body. When he was placed in the mausoleum, my girlfriend stood in line for six hours just to see his already sealed crypt. I thought that was strange since we lived locally, (Southaven/Horn Lake), and could come back without the crowds. Unknowingly, I'd ridden horses with Elvis, because my parents bought a membership to a country club called "The Gun Club", at the corner of highway 301 and Goodman Rd. (now called Hwy 302). Elvis would come down every afternoon in the summer, but we had no idea who he was because, at that time we were 12 or 13 years old. Looking back, I think he liked riding with us because we didn't know who he was so he could just have fun.
Hi Jordan, I saw Elvis at UD Arena in 1975, second to the last row at the top, he was about as big as a match in our view, BUT, we were there and saw him LIVE !!! Nancy from Vandalia
Hey Jordan thanks so much for sharing your tour with us...I noticed that Ginger had her TLC necklace on did your girlfriend enjoy her gift from you..that was a great idea. I would definitely get one when I get to Graceland!
My understanding was that his middle name was Aron at birth because his parents didn't know it was typically spelled Aaron. Elvis asked his father to use the standard spelling so Vernon was just honoring Elvis's wishes by putting Elvis Aaron on the headstone.
Thank you for this video!!! Totally different from other videos, kept me engaged the who video. Someday would love to go see Graceland in person. GOD BLESS❤
great video, has brought back memories of my trips to Graceland, I have been 3 times and hopefully will in the future, although it is along way from Ireland. Ginger I think is a lovely lady, very respectful of Elvis and I loved her book, she told a very different story about his finals months. We are often made to think Elvis was depressed all the time and a total recluse but from reading her book it is obvious that was not the case, yes he was obviously unwell but he still seemed to love life.

Thank you Jordan, I love your travels.
i think you meant to say almost 2 months later he passed
@@bamafan62 Thanks I changed it
Thanks for sharing your story. I have one too & I always enjoy hearing other stories.
(June 26th was my son's birthday but he died at 14 from complications with cancer
treatments) Anyhow, my story begins with my father sharing the exact same b-day
as Elvis, Jan 8 1935. I got to see Elvis in concert when he was at the Capital Center
in Wash DC in May of 1977 and I still have my ticket stub. :-) I was so devastated
the day Elvis died and my mother was such a sweetheart & pampered me with TLC
all that evening as I watched the TV coverage for hours.
The following year on the 1-year anniversary of his death, my mother died suddenly.
So my father shares the same birthday & my mother the same death date but a year
later. How ironic is all that?? Anyhow, that's my Elvis story. Thanks for yours. I still
haven't been to Graceland but it's on my bucket list. My bestie has been there and
she shared her experience with me but I'm still waiting for my turn.
Me too. Saw him in Louisville ky
In may 1977i was 14 ...i saw in 76 also.
Have you ever been to Graceland?
Jeff, that’s awesome. I agree, Jordan is fantastic. He is so thorough and does such a great job. What other RUclipsrs do you follow? I’m always looking for new content to check out.

💋Fantastic vlog! Ginger is such a lovely lady! Thank you for these Elvis week vlogs. Continued Blessings to you and Jah. ~Love&Light♥️C.
She was a gold digger
Only problem with Gingers story she was only with him 9 months. Elvis never announced any engagement his freinds family dispute he had plans to marry.
She wasn't that special he cheated on her while he was with her had no intentions on marrying her
@@sophiebean2023He gave her an engagement ring.

Thank you!
Actually, she has now granted me an interview..
I was there last September and can't wait to go back. They were getting Ben's resting place ready when I was there.
There is absolutely no other estate like Elvis, he will always be a legend. His fame as grown so much since he passed away. Awesome video Jordan.
Super cool video! I went to Graceland back in the 90's and would love to go again. Thanks for taking us with you on this very special tour.

We drove up when I visited in the eighties; I want to day 85, but can't remember
We had a handicapped person with us and we were allowed to drive on the property no lies.
That's sounds great to drive up
@@cdd4248 I was there in 1986, I believe, and we were able to drive up as well.
Such a great job telling this story... And life of Elvis and ones he loved🥰💙💙💙
I know it has been said that EPE still owns the crypt in the mausoleum. So are they the ones trying to sell it, and why would they? Keep it as it is.
@@thewildgoose1979 They do own it for sure. It has been for sale probably since 1977.

I’m so glad that you lifted Ginger up in this vlog, great video, Jordan. Hope you have a great New Year and safe travels my friend.
Still love him to this day ❤️
Graceland stories that will live forever, thanks for all the videos Jordan.
I have a original Elvis photo with him in his stuz for sale

I can see why Elvis wanted to come home to Graceland. The place is drop dead gorgeous. It really feels like a home and not just a big Mansion. He may only lived 42 years, but half his life was in that place. Even I would sacrifice my lifespan for it!

I am speaking about how you said Vernon sent your mom a handwritten now to thank her for the flower arrangement. I bet that meant a lot to her

I Love Her!! She was treated horrible after Elvis's Passing. 😢
Who?
I love I love Lisa Marie too . However she wasn't the one treated terribly after her father passed away she's the one that treated her mother so terrible. Priscilla was a wonderful mother. She couldn't she couldn't keep up to the lifestyle and the gifts that that Lisa's father used to give her all the time, she was very spoiled and she did she resented her mother Priscilla because Priscilla was a disciplinarian, this was actually raising a brat. He loved his daughter so much but he gave her too much and did too much and and spoiled her. Elvis loved his daughter but he did not really know how to other her with discipline
Any child that isn't disciplined turns out very spoiled. This actually contributed to Lisa Marie's wild lifestyle after her father was gone, due to Lisa's wild lifestyle and uncontrolled spending, she nearly lost Graceland
. Priscilla took over and saved Graceland for her daughter, Graceland would not be there anymore it would be owned by someone else other than the Presleys, if it hadn't been for
Priscilla has been treatedterribly by her daughter and so many people dislike her because they believed Lisa's unkind words about her mother.😢 We all owe Priscilla a lot of thanks for saving Graceland for her daughter. My heart truly aches for Priscilla the way she's been treated and talked about, Priscilla's life with the king of rock and roll was not all wonderful
Elvis is cheating and lying to Priscilla broke
@@angelajameson7902 Yes she was but it was because of how she treated Elvis..Even Lisa said " She made Elvis unhappy." She in it for the money n only stuck it out for her parents.. Elvis purchased a house for them n on the day he died, she had the nerve to ask Vernon who will be paying the mortgage on the house now that Elvis died... That's why Vernon didn't want her around anymore...He knew as well as everyone was using Elvis...

Thank you Jordan. I know I will never make it to Graceland. But can enjoy it through your vlogs.
Still brings me down after all these years. Terrible day. Thanks Jordan.

Elvis asked his father to use the standard spelling so Vernon was just honoring Elvis's wishes by putting Elvis Aaron on the headstone.

great video, has brought back memories of my trips to Graceland, I have been 3 times and hopefully will in the future, although it is along way from Ireland.
