I was in love with Elvis growing up. I was 12 and wrote him a letter in 1969 telling him I wanted to marry him lol. I drew a picture of him with a guitar. He took a page of my original letter and sent it back to me with his autograph ❤️. I have it to this day. It’s priceless to me.

Just discovered this....what a lovely lovely insight into graceland and got chills when they show Lisa Marie's signature from childhood as the world is in shock at her sudden and sad passing. She is about to be buried next to her iconic father and grandparents and beloved son at graceland. I hope and pray her children can take as such great care of graceland's future as she did and may they all be reunited and rest in peace 🙏 xx❤️❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I visited Graceland's for the very first time in November 2014 from Sydney Australia. It was my once in a life time dream holiday, which I found in some strange feeling a little closer to Elvis after my trip to Memphis had came to an end. As I first entered the doors sometime after 1:00pm and made my way through, which to be honest leaves you feeling surreal. On completion I was taking photo's out front when a lady who worked there asked if had been through, I replied " yes had thank you and that I just need sometime to take it all in". Well she said "why don't you take another wander through, you still have time & you can walk through as many times as you like". There was a little voice inside which said, "go ahead Matt come take another wander" & so I did just that. As i walked through on my 2nd tour, it wasn't until I was halfway through where i realized I was the only person left in the entire place. Knowing just that, a feeling as though it was a private tour just for me was something I know I would never ever forget, even if I was lucky to return one day I would never have that private time. To top it off I was the only one left walking through the planes and the cars, I just thought to myself. Matt somebody up there loves you.
I found Memphis gave me a warm feeling, which in some strange way made it hard to let go and say goodbye. I met some many lovely Americans who lived there, all were generous, helpful and caring. Even Sun Studios, there is a magical vibe there which in all honesty, you can feel the presence of Elvis and Rock n Roll, its still alive. Memphis had it all, Uncle Lou's fried chicken, Lansky's where I bought the same race jacket Elvis wore in his movies & basically was the clothier to the King, there are cool bars and Blues music. I even walked through the colored neighborhoods and had a hair cut at one of the barbers, boy was that a funny story. It was awesome like something out of the movies. If you ever get the chance, go and experience it all.

I'm going next August for the 40th anniversary of Elvis' death and my 50th birthday and I can't wait. It's been a life long dream to be anywhere near Elvis and his home, I'm doing the full Elvis week, Sun Studios, Bealle Street, Tupelo, the hole shebang!! And all I can say is WOW to watching these videos of Graceland. Long live Elvis and his music x

We have that big beautiful stove in our kitchen! This is a 60s farmhouse. The stove is by Fisher Body and was considered quite a luxury in its time. Dolly Parton had one! There are knobs on this thing that help you cook the perfect steak! Two ovens and the hide-a-way burners.. we love it.

I love these videos!! Angie should do a Q & A!! i have been to Graceland twice, and am ready to do a third!! The first time was in 1997, and I got to take a drink from the original water fountain in the Raquetball court, so I think I got to drink from the place E. took a drink from, that was my favorite part of the tour!! My 2nd time I got a rock and a tiny amount of dirt and mixed it w potting soil, and planted a pothos vine in it!! So, a tiny part of Graceland is alive and with me!! I have heard Lisa is having a hard time right now, and I keep her in my prayers- I know her life has not been easy at times!

Just want to point out a little mistake. The sculpture on the ground is not David.
It's always by Michelangelo, but it portrays Giuliano de'Medici. At his Medici tomb site in Florence.
Thanks any way for these short documentaries of Graceland. I just love them.

This is awesome!! I just did the tour this past Friday with my family. I wish I had seen this before I went. My husband and I went to Graceland in September 1982, we spent our honeymoon in Memphis. The cost to get in to Graceland was $5.00. Yep, that's right $5.00. It was so different then. I love behind the scenes videos like this! Very cool. When is part 2 coming out? U
