Thanks for the fairly concise tutorial. What is the maximum time segments of the envelope stages. For example: attack, decay, release?
Do these time segments have different curves: log, exp, lin? Thank you.

Pleasing warm sound. The reverb sounds great and saves an external reverb device. This sounds like a bread and butter synth in terms of a useable synth in lots of production. Nice review and sound quality in your channel. Nice work. I may replace a synth position in my racks with the Summit after hearing this.

Have you connected the summit to a daw and trigger the Arp, have you noticed ant trigger problems?

I use my Summit inside daws to use Omnispher vst.
Every control on the Summit is auto mapped to Omnispher even the Arp function.
I haven't had had any issues with it.

@@maydaygoingdown5602 cheers, after research I found out that the Arp on the summit does not have 'beat sync'. This means the Arp will trigger exactly the moment you trigger it but not beginning of bar automatically. This means precise Arp triggering on the summit is needed.

@xntricity6446 I'm not sure, I have my Summits clock set to USB so it's synced to my Daw clock when using in Daw.
I then use 5 pin midi from the Summit to my drum machine set to slave so the timings are spot on.

@@maydaygoingdown5602 sorry I meant when you trigger the Arp directly on the keyboard rather than running sequence from Daw.

No way to sync it to external hardware accurately is a huge oversight. No global beat sync either . Really diapointed

Wow, really? This vid appears to be 7 months old, so has Novation responded? When you say..."accurately" it means that sync is supported, but not working well. Is this correct? Do you mean sync to ext MIDI clock? Can you provide more detail re Global sync please?

@@philmagnotta5553 they suggested using an external sequencer to get truly tight synchronization on the summit for modulation and the arpeggiator which is a hidden cost and very cumbersome for a system with this much sonic power. I sent two synths back this year for that reason alone . In modern electronic music that’s a deal breaker instantly for me . And many other synths and high end poly synths suffer from this ridiculous problem too because the manufacturers are really producing a prosumer product comprised of arp “Kits “ and other add ons no one talks about as a negative in manufacturing practices sadly. And believe it or not some people will never ever notice it or assume a feature is actually just a cheap add on because they don’t know any better 👽✌️
