People say this film is an apology for The Emoji Movie. If so, apologies accepted.
I don't understand why people assume that. Both movies are different and The Emoji movie was not that bad it was just generic and boring. The apps shown in them are the apps we use everyday, meven Disney had them in Wreck it Ralph 2. It not deserve the The Worst movie accolades it's too boring even for that honor. Everyone should just the movie even existed.

Another Fun Fact: The first film to win best animated feature was Shrek.
I hated that speech at the begging...why do people assume animation is for kids?!?
*EXACTLY.*
Unfortunately, that's just the prevailing view in the US (and, I assume, most other countries). It's movies like this one that help say that's simply *not true.*
(Examples of TV shows that I can think of that do this are shows like Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Dragon Prince, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars Rebels.)
Gustavo Barría Chavarría In my opinion I think it’s got to do with upbringing. People who think that animation should only be for children are of an upbringing that doesn’t understand that animation can transcend demographics, and when something comes along that defies that mentality they don’t really get it and double down on the same thing that animation is only for kids.
