Beautiful Animation, Layered Characters, Striking Visuals, Powerful Storytelling, Clever Humor, Sweeping Action, Heartfelt Emotions all presented with both style and substance that not only makes this a great animated film, a great superhero film, and a great Spider-man film...but also a great film in general. This is both a literal and metaphorical work of art and artistic expression that just goes to show how this art form can elevate itself to new forms of beauty we have yet to see for years to come. Sony was one of the first animation studios to realize you're not going to beat Disney and Pixar by copying Disney and Pixar.
Spider-Verse has truly changed the game of animation. It introduced a new visual style that blended comic book aesthetics with 3D animation, creating a unique and dynamic look that celebrated the medium, while also challenging the norms of realism and CG that has prevailed in American animation. It proves that superhero animation can be critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
