Nice instal video and great that you took the time to read and follow my instructions! A couple of points to answer from the video and comments. 1. We sell the fitting kit separately as often customers have recently replaced parts of it so if we included it automatically (and made the exhaust more expensive) you'd be paying for parts you don't need. 2. That sealing ring for the rear exhaust isn't in the fitting kit because it's not required with the AH exhaust, it's built in to one of the sections so you just clamp them together. 3. Not all cars have the dipstick there, in fact on most 105s it's on the other side of the engine next to the distributor! Nice job on the new bracket though.
Hi Jim, thanks for commenting. The car is coming back this winter for some more work. The owner is complaining of a lot of exhaust smell coming back into the car. Is it possible that the straight out tip is contributing to this ? We are thinking about going back to the stock rear muffler section with the down turned tip.
@@cheftush it shouldn't do. Alfa fitted straight out pipes on later S3 and S4 cars. Anecdotally it does seem to be a problem on some cars (with or without our exhaust) they seem to either do it or they don't! I wonder if that big US bumper needs a longer tip to clear it? The tail did look quite short under it! Maybe try a small extension sleeved into it first?
The dipstick fix was perfect. You are a great fabricator! The Alfaholics exhaust system didn't seem to need much to get it to fit...thats rare, especially for the headers. Wow.
@@jamcdona possibly…I think some of the catalyst was loose or a baffle was loose inside. I’ve read that older catalytic converters only have a life of about 10-15 years so I doubt this converter was doing much after 40 plus years…
The bracket (and the new exhaust, of course) came out very nice. I've got some old Corvair radios that I plan on gutting and installing new electronics. And I also bought me a early Xmas gift, a buddy of mine upgraded his mill in his shop to a new one and sold me his old one. At the very least, the holes that I drill now should be a bit closer to where I want them to be. :)
Hi Dave, nice looking exhaust installation from Alfaholics although a little disappointed that they don’t supply a comprehensive fitting kit with it given the fact that the system was already pretty expensive I would imagine.
One of the real advantages I can see to Canada is that you don't have to smog check biannually a 45 year old car like I have to in California. On my '74 there's no upper dipstick tube bracket. The only problem I had putting the Classic Alfa headers & exhaust is that it melted the inner Dynamat badly (it was smoking). I ended up replacing the Dynamat on the Driver's side with heat resistant insulation. I also used some exterior alum/rock wool header wrap all the way from the header to past the driver's seat to keep the heat away from the interior. I only put the heat deflector on top of the pipes. The one real help of the header is that I could work on dialing in my Spica with the use of a Innov wide band Air/Fuel sensor because the headers had the bung. Right now I'm working up the gumption to reinstall my complete and rebuilt/replaced heater assembly. I had to take out the center console so removing the Blaupunkt was not a problem. I was amazed at how much of the heater assembly needed attention. Thanks for showing the Blanking plate. I'll just get some plastic, cut to fit and use double stick tape. I also am going to send my radio off and have it updated.

Yeah no issues…fit really well. Not very loud just a deeper tone I think.

Hey Chef, great video and I really like the new jack stands....maybe Santa will read this!
Yeah, I feel a little safer with those locks Kevin.
I absolutely love this car. Bellissima!
Well done David, that looks and sounds great. Kind regards, Richard.
Looks great David
Sounds amazing! Thanks David

Great job Tush! for Alfa spiders On the Konis adjust them almost all the way hard up front and half in the rear!
Really? I was thinking softest setting all around? They are still stock springs.
@@cheftush all the soft up front makes the car under steer. All the way hard in the back produces easy oversteer.

The kit should include the new dipstick bracket…
