    Forestry mulching is a good business to be in. That's one of the things we do where I work at. Keep that maintained and you'll have decades of great hunting to fill your freezers. Great looking property, sir. Looking forward to seeing some of the trail cam footage and the wildlife it holds.

      Going through all of the footage now. There were days we had hundreds of pictures. It's crazy... if you build it... they will come.

    Whew! Great video! Any natural springs on the property? Or the creek running to the pond? Perfect set up!

    @Pale-Horse-Outdoors you need a hunting camp with a "dressing" building to the side. Something with bunks, kitchen and bathroom. If you built a few cabins...it could be another source of revenue if you rent them. Higher a manager or better yet train your kids to maintain it...they could take over for you...

      Oh yea that would be a great build. I've built a cabin before... we had thought about building them around a lake and renting. There isnt enough public land around here for a hunt camp.

    Ever think of adding Dunstan Chestnut trees in your food plot areas. Only take 3-5 yrs to produce, I tried them in the past but sold the property before I had a chance to see the outcome.

      Great idea! I'll have to look into them and see what type of soil they need. Ther are quite a few persimmons.

    This is exactly what me and the wife are looking for a nice piece of land and some room to homestead....

    It's my understanding that thick cover is good for deer. What were you finding your property was lacking with all that thick cover? Food? Access? Lack of food plots? Just curious, I have alot of pine trees on my property that offer lots of cover, but lack the food aspect. I have hardwoods and a few food plots as well. But I feel I need more hardwood regeneration. Thinking eliminating some pines might help that.

    @Pale-Horse-Outdoors Matthew can you please tell me the make and model of the attachment? How much did it cost per day?

    • @Pale-Horse-Outdoors
      @Pale-Horse-Outdoors  8 месяцев назад +1

      All I know is that it's a bush hog attachment for the front of a bobcat. I'm not sure on the exact name. But it was around $125 an hour.

    This is something that I would love to do, find a piece of property that has all the makings and make it a wildlife haven.
