I think the best state to buy in is the one you’ll be able to consistently visit and manage the land well on.
Exactly!
Totally agree
My friend and i have 360 acres in northeast mo, We bought the first 160 acres in 95 for 475 an acre we added the reat over the yrs and paid 1600 an acre for the last 80 acres ten yrs ago , a month ago an 80 acre parcel next to us with no improvements sold for 4750 an acre, we were blessed when we found this place, We have taken over 2 dozen bucks in the 140s and 150s and the kids and friends have taken many more, wish you all luck in finding your bit of heaven.
Helpful video. In in North Central Tx. We just bought our first hunting parcel recently and are going to work building a whitetail oasis. Vortex optics are all I use! Just the BEST!
Glad we could help!
Great video! I’ve always dreamed about having my own hunting paradise. These tips will definitely help me once I’m ready to buy!
Great video! I live in Maine....we have great hunting here and a little of everything in this state and we have the ocean for salt water fishing!
I love your contact I learned more and more each time I watch a video from what you have to say
I live in Missouri. You are absolutely right can’t find cheap ground to buy or lease. And if you do spend up on ground there is no guarantee you will have good hunting. Thanks for the videos!
Thank you for the awesome video. I bought 125 acres of Illinois land 3 and a half years ago for $100,000. I was offered $200,000 for it in December. I couldnt pass it up. It was CRep land and wasn't valued much over what I paid. Lo and behold the guy who bought it from me sold it 3 months later for $400,00
Oh my
Whereabouts?
Garden of The God's/ Cave in Rock area is full of big ol bucks in Southern Illinois. As soon as you cross the Ohio River into Indiana it's a night and day difference.
Thanks for the video , very informative 👍
if you own 40 acres or more in Illinois you can get a landowner archery tag and you can then buy the full price non-resident archery tag, basically you can get two full season archery tags for about $750
Have hunted in Illinois, have to agree!
Thanks for the info. I’m still looking for that gem.
Great info glad I found this page.
I will keep this in mind if I ever get the opportunity to buy
Keep the videos coming,good job.
Yayyy bino’s !! Are alway a must… dropped mine out the tree stand they broke !!
Trying to get my first piece of land this year. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for the information. 👍
Not sure what matters more, the state or the neighborhood
Hadn't thought of Illinois as a front runner. Also not that anyone cares but to prove I listen...at minute marker 5:59 you arrive talking about two buck state and mentioned one with Bow and one with archery. Intentional, or am I mistaken. LOL keep the content coming!
Busted lol I meant gun
@@whitetaillandmanagement O do that all the time. Everyone knew what you meant.
Thanks again!
I just recently got into competitive archery and would love to have a pair of vortex binos to see where I’m hitting in these 3d shoots and stuff thank you
I’ve been looking for a place to buy land and this video really helped. Thanks!
Glad I could help!
Really great video bud
Great content
Another great one as usual. Im still coming for that glass!
Another Great video!
Enjoy your content, thank you
I can’t wait to hear which one it is.
Illinois is my favorite state to hunt particularly Adams, Brown and Fulton Counties. Great little towns in these areas and super nice people. Properties for sale do not last long and the prices are sky high. However, you get what you pay for.
I hunt the same counties!
Great video very interesting
West Tennessee is a sleeper state. Good dear and 2 buck state. Plus 3 deer per day limits.
Great Video ! Extremely helpful
Love this channel.
Very interesting!
The information is fantastic we can't wait till you to come Ohio
Minnesota public land bow hunter and I love the outdoors
Sounds like a place to look
Just saw this good stuff thanks
Thoughts on doing a top 5 best states video?
Love these videos
Good stuff!
Always love these videos. Wish I had the money to buy property now but it’s so crazy expensive currently! Would love some binos though hahah thanks for all the good content
I'm in Missouri, and your right about the prices. They have gone up!
I grew up on that indiana border of Illinois. It’s the best hunting around in my opinion. Once you cross into Indiana the hunting falls off dramatically in my opinion. I will buy land there one day for sure!
Love vortex glass
huh. great info. thanks for the tips.
Just seen your videos. Like the content keep the videos coming
There awesome glass love to have a pair but a little out of my price range
One of the last things i need for this season is a pair of bino's, what a better way to get a pair than winning a pair WOOT lets go lol good luck everyone!
The best information out there!
I stay in Missouri and started hunting 2 years ago I’m 24 and I’ve seen 1 deer worth bragging about but I didn’t take the shot. I called it in with cheap academy antlers
Love optics.
Great video!
If I could choose and money wasn't an option, I would be in western SD / WY just for hunting purposes!
only thing is you need a few 1000 ac just to start
Great video hoping to retire in West Virginia and also hoping to buy some land with good hunting.
I have 184 acres in Pendleton County that I'm thinking about selling. It's loaded with game.
@@MountainRancher Wow I would love to be able to afford that much land but I’m only looking for about 20 to 30 acres.
Love the content .
I believe theres a few states that are some of the best, but it comes down to atleast for me, the rules and laws regarding hunting. Thank you for the video and the info!
I have land in Indiana and it is pretty good for the money. Nice deer. The newest US trophy came from the area I have land in.
That's very interesting I've never been to Illinois before but now I want to check it out, Is the turkey hunting any good there? Thanks for sharing and passing on the knowledge as always!
great video
Thanks 🤙🏻
No problem 👍
Thanks for a great video! Also I would love some vortex binoculars
Entered!
Hadn’t thought about Illinois was focused on Iowa. Also did not know non resident landowners couldn’t hunt every year in Iowa. Appreciate the info
Great info.
Thx for the binoculars
Would love to hunt Illinois someday. My hunting crew is shrinking rapidly these days. Need to take that trip before it gets smaller.
Ahhhhh I'd love them have them
Like all your content
I love my woods just east of Indiana between clark and edgar
If I had to guess of the secret area you are talking about I would say Buffalo County Wisconsin
A great video! Is there any landowner advantages with size. Like 40 acres here in Wisconsin to get landowner preference?
Suprised me on this one.
Vortex is the best!
Nice to know
I have always been wanting to hunt the golden triangle of Illinois but have never hunted there. Have hunted Kentucky around Ballard county…it’s on the Kentucky river runs into the mighty Mississippi. Kentucky, Ohio and Illinois are. Some great deer hunting in that area, one of these days I’ll go there. Hope we get the 500 likes would love to find out the gem inside “some” state is….come on let’s get those thumbs up 👍🏻!
Liked, subbed, this is the comment. Now let me get to the content so I can grow my knowledge haha.!
What about MN? Could use binocs.
I need a pair!
shhhhhh. I live here. I don't need any more ppl around. but he's right about one thing you'll have to buy land. I hunt what little public is around. and it's almost impossible to get on private without family owning a farm or affording a big dollarc lease. I hope one day to buy my own land here but it freaky ain't that cheap
Legit video!
I’ve always wanted to hunt Illinois
I always thought it would be the best place to hunt !! Property is probably crazy money there !!
I like Vortex! :)
“You can kill a buck with your bow, and with archery equipment?” Did I miss something here?
Illinois is great, but Indiana is right up there. I'm just glad you can get a buck in Bow AND a buck in Archery season in IL.
Good videos, I live in New York, just googled land for sale in Illinois, can’t afford, do you talking to riches people or citizens who go to work every day
I love this❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hello everyone. I'm from Missouri and I can't agree more. I love the state of Missouri and the Department of natural resources and the Missouri conservation do a great job acrossed the state. But I really wish the conservation department would jack up the price of tags for non residents. I think that would help tremendously. We have one of the cheapest non resident tag out there. I've ran into alot of good people. On the other hand I've had people pull guns on me, threaten me, and made it a point to find where I'm hunting and blast through the area I'm in just to be ignorant. I try to be courteous and help people when I can, but some people are just rude. I wish I was at a point in my life to be able to buy my own piece of dirt but I'm not. And I do love to hunt public land. Thanks and sorry for the rant.
@D Rrr to many people already know
Ya Illinois is a nice place the deer are out there in heards.
Illinois pike county, great hunting
Definitely should add west coast not just Midwest/dirty south. Missing too many animals
Hi I'm new here. Hope to learn some new tricks.
Hoping to purchase my own piece of property sometime in the future.
Jo Daviess County area has the "Wisconsin Effect" I'd stay away from there but otherwise Id agree from the standpoint of someone trying to buy Land. As well as a resident of Wisconsin.
I've found a few hidden gems in a few state that most people say a junk states to hunt . Finding an overlooked spot isn't that hard if you patten the hunters before you try to patten the deer .
Thanks for the content. I have to watch the worst state video, but this one was interesting. For me though, it is home sweet home, good o' Kansas! Whitetail, turkey, pheasant, quail, waterfowl, dove, mule deer, even elk...yessir!
Looking to hunt it next year. I’ll take an invite anytime 😂
I hunt Illinois and its my second year. I'm still learning but I shot a 140" inch deer as my first ever buck with a shotgun of course. IL is a no rifle state which is a big downside.
The warranty is all I hear about being lifetime. After my nikons took a dump last year I’ll be switching
