    That was a great, and informative interview. I worked IT in Afghanistan on an ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) program a couple years ago. It seems like our pilots flew similar profiles and patterns to survey missions. Now, I just have to get to 1500 hours...

    Thanks, Trent! This was a great interview. I have also been considering going into survey flying once I get all my ducks lined up. That was a cool story about being on short final as your friend departed next to you, lol.

    Hi Trent! Love these interviews super helpful. One thing I find helpful also, when referencing a type of aircraft I like then you put a picture of it on the screen! Super helpful.

    Trent, these interviews are very helpful and love seeing them. I'm going to start my career 2.0 starting in Jan. 2024. I'd be curious if there are pilots out there that partnered with the Civil Air Patrol after their PPL to build time and to get further ratings? I wonder if you could reachout to the Civil Air Patrol to see if they have someone that would meet with you to share opportunities for us to build time and help their mission. Thanks!

    • @trent_dyrsmid
      @trent_dyrsmid  5 месяцев назад +1

      I’m in the Civil Air Patrol….and yes, there are plenty of opportunities to fly. You can’t expect them to pay for any of your ratings, however.

    Could you make a video about all the different licenses and which jobs you can do with each one, in case someone isn't interested necessarily in the majors. Thanks

    • @trent_dyrsmid
      @trent_dyrsmid  5 месяцев назад +1

      You must have at least a commercial license to be able to make any money as a pilot. If you could get the CFI rating, you could be an instructor. If you do not get the CFI rating, you can still become a pipeline pilot, a survey pilot, a skydive pilot, or you can fly for a wealthy individual if they want to put you in in their cockpit.

    Great interview. I’ve been looking into the business side of aviation for a while now. Asked Reddit, Facebook Groups, done some google search, looked for courses but there is pretty much nothing on the subject out there. This video gives cool little insights on how that works.
    Definitely will fly survey before going 121 sooner or later.
    Until next time Trent. 👍
