TRS Yucatan is such a great place....we've had many wonderful trips there. Never had problems with anything we've asked for. I don't know...maybe its the energy we give off????
We didn’t really have a problem with the staff. They were all so nice and really tried their best. It just seemed like maybe they were understaffed? For example rooms that were having “technical difficulties “ as we were told and the tvs in many of the rooms were not working. Restaurants that were empty but we were told the wait would be long for a table. I wonder if there were bigger issues taking place during our stay.
One good suggestion that I’ve found out that works is tipping your butler or whoever helps you with bringing your things to your room, so Make sure you have some ones 1$-2$ tips goes a long way for them and they will remember you your whole stay and take care of you!!!
Yes good point! We definitely tipped everyone the entire trip (bartenders, butlers, servers, etc) and typically tipped over $2 each time. Everyone who worked there was very nice but it still seems like there were issues in the system as a whole
I agree with the request thing.. we had to keep Asking for new towels and they kept hanging our old ones up .. we asked for a bottle of Malibu and never got .. we had chips in our room that expired since March 2023.. the rooms look outdated and the bed was not comfortable .. went Aug 11-16, 2023
That mirrors our experience as well. Would order room service over the phone and it would never arrive. Would call again and be told it was never ordered, even though the person on the phone confirmed the order. It was all very confusing. We liked the pools and the food and drinks were fine to great, but we would not return again.
Overall it was…. Fine. Just not as relaxing as we wanted because we kept having to ask for things over and over again. I think we got some weird stomach bug? We ate the same thing as everyone else and no one else became sick except us.
They just offered it to us. It was kind of weird because we paid extra for an ocean view and never got it. Due to our other experiences at the resort I wonder if they overbooked ocean view rooms and so gave us the larger room to appease us? They were having a lot of room issues during our stay with people not getting the rooms they asked for.
No the restaurants were included! But we had a hard time getting reservations for our larger party even though the restaurants were kind of empty. I think they may have been short staffed when we went. If you have a smaller group it probably shouldn’t be an issue.
Those of us who got massages really liked them! The hydrotherapy was really nice! Half of it was under construction when we went but the parts that were open were good! We really liked the quiet pool there
20$ for sunblock? We mustve bought a bigger one we paid 29$. Would suggest packing some for the trip. We thought it wouldnt pass the security but just take a half empty one

That sounds like a possibility I can't imagine the task of managing such a huge property, from staffing to supply chain issues. @@bethandnick

We thought we had packed lots but ended up going through it a lot faster than expected! Thankfully no sunburns which is the real win I suppose!
How did your friend who was expecting feel with the excursions ?
