That Tandy computer is a beast, listen to those explosive specs🤣
I love the way bars look in the old beer commercials from the 80s. I wish I could hang out in them and have a drink.🍺
Oh yes, me too
As long as you're of age, you can go in any bar you'd like...
@@dalemulholland2387 Thanks... I didn't realize that. 🤔
That Tandy commercial had me smiling ear to ear. Computers were so new and foreign.
The happiness on the one guy's face spinning the ball in the Taco Bell commercial is off the charts.
Taco bell back in the day, cheap and better tasting . I actually prefer the old brand and restaurant's
Don't worry guys; I'm building a time machine in the basement. I'll take us home.
Please save this wretched man a spot... I promise to be good ;)
Oh goody goody..finally an escape from this horrible decade..
Dave coming through with a little Afternoon Delight action 😊✌️📼🧈 Glad to see you’ve recovered from Saturday night!
Rock on!
Dave once again bringing the radical, tubular Awesomeness of the best decade the 80’s 🔥 🙏💯📼📺🧈
Thanks Dave those Tandy PC commercials really hit the nostalgic spot, as one of my aunts had a Tandy 1000 RSX, and I remember playing Tetris on it among other DOS games when I would be at her place.
Radio Shack was a real contender with the TRS-80, the Color Computer, and the Tandy 1000 series. Now all that's left are the Tandy leather stores that outlasted Radio Shack. I miss Radio Shack...
Taco Bell..-back when they used REAL beef
Loved those"..the night belongs"Michelob ads, especially the Wang Chung one
These always bring a smile to my face. So many memories popped up during random commercials. It's so funny and amazing that just one thing that used to annoy you back in the day, can now be a trigger for wonderful memories and moments of your life. Thank you for doing all of these videos. Being sick makes life not always easy. Sometimes down right miserable, but seeing these classic ads brings me back to my childhood, my school days, then high school. Our dances, us guys driving around after having fun. Going to the 41-Twin Drive-in with your buddies. Just having FUN! NO WORRIES, NO BIG PLANS, NO ISSUES, JUST HAPPY-GO-LUCKY FUN AND ADVENTURE! The 70's were my childhood days. The mid 80's saw my high school days, and the late 80's were concerts at Alpine Valley, Summerfest, the Mecca, and Pink Floyd at County Stadium!🏟 THAT WAS THE MOST EPIC EVENT I EVER SAW! AMAZING! Your channel helps me to find some happiness when I'm down. For that I can't thank you enough. Take care sir! God Bless you and your family and please take care of each other! Life is far too short and much to precious to waste it!
Damn, these commercials take you back. Much simpler time in history.
Randy Newman =Among The Most Comforting Voices Of A Generation.
Dddaaavvvveeeee, you're always so good to us!!!!
Sweet thank YOU ☺️ 😍
You’re welcome 😊
We had a Magnavox TV with the green LED numbers and the ten digit dial pad on the front. That TV was awesome.
@ 5:06. We need more of these. This one was in the "commercial crazies" game.
Oh Wow!! Was that Robert Duvall in the Mastercard commercial?? Was that guy ever young or was he born old looking? 🤣
LOL so true
Nestle Crunch jingle still rocks in my mind.
These commercials are awesome
Heavy Gratitude
The nutrisweet commercials with Randy Newman's voice were pure bliss man. Can't find anything like in modern day ads. Same goes with everything else in this collection of 80s video. By golly Dave you did it again! 👌👍😵
As a child of the 70s and a young adult of the 80s I hereby decree this to officially rule.
Now $1.00 won't get you a cup of coffee. I loved the Soft 🌮Tacos🌮 at the 🔔Bell🔔 they were so good! Especially after a long 🌙night!🌙 😴 Before bedtime, a nice snack. $5.00 and you got 8 Soft 🌮Tacos🌮 and 2 Bean 🌯Burritos🌯 and you were SET! You may have the FARTS for a while but hey, it was soo good!
So nice to see Sweetness again.

Happy 100,000th Subscribers~
I believe that I may still have a bottle of Visine from the late 80s.
Seems like in the 80's I could purchase 15lbs of Taco Bell for $8. You could feed a party for $10.
yeah but it would take you all day to make that $10
@@leroylowe5921 no, I made $50/hr as an engineer
Ah, I love seeing those old Goodwrench ads. When I see them, I tend to do research on the dealers listed in the commercials. Brace yourselves, this will be a long read.
For example, Larry Faul Oldsmobile/GMC was in the Chicago area, particularly in Schaumburg. The man behind the dealer (as well as Chevrolet, Pontiac, Geo, Chrysler, and Subaru dealers) passed away back in April. Today, the location of the dealer, 1230 E. Golf Rd is home to Zeigler Chevrolet.
T.A. Byrne Chevrolet, 175 N. Bedford Rd, Mt. Kisco, NY, is still around, but now known as Mount Kisco Chevrolet.
Coulter Cadillac is still around, this mechanic was likely from the Phoenix, AZ location, but they also have a location in Tempe. In business since 1923, Coulter is the oldest Cadillac dealer in Arizona, and one of the oldest in America, though the Coulter name wasn't applied to the business until 1926.
Joe Romania Chevrolet was located at 2020 Franklin Blvd in Eugene, OR. The building was originally a Coca-Cola bottling facility in the 50s, before becoming a Chevrolet dealer in the 60s. The dealer's namesake passed away in 2006. Today, the building sits generally vacant.
Dockum Pontiac was located at 2205 South Robinson Ave. in Oklahoma City. The building has gone through a few changes over the years, once being a Goodyear tire dealer (with branded fascia added over the existing building's facade) and a trailer dealer. Between July and October of 2014, the upper portion of Goodyear fascia was removed, and the building still stands vacant to this day with it's original 1928 look largely intact.
Beaman Pontiac was located at 1525 Broadway in Nashville, TN. The property is still operating under the Beaman name, though where the Pontiac dealer (later Pontiac/GMC, then Buick/Pontiac/GMC) was located is now home to Beaman Toyota, and the former Toyota location is now Beaman Buick/GMC. The namesake of the dealer, Lee Beaman, has, and still is a bit of a controversial figure in the Nashville region, though he sold the dealerships that still bear his family name back in 2020.
Dan Burns Oldsmobile was located at 2200 S. Federal Highway in Delray Beach, FL. Today, a Nissan dealer, HGreg Nissan Delray, stands on the property.
Dorschel Buick-Toyota (obviously, the Toyota isn't shown in the ad) was located at 3399 W. Henrietta Blvd in Rochester, NY. Sometime between 2007 and 2012 (possibly 2008-09, during GM's bankruptcy), the Buick franchise was dropped, and it became a standalone Toyota dealer, with another dealer by the name of Patrick, having a Buick/GMC dealer afterwards. It, as well as the rest of the Dorschel dealer group, was bought by the Bob Johnson Auto Group last year, with Patrick Buick/GMC having been bought by them the year prior.
General Truck Sales is also still around, currently a Volvo Truck dealer, though back in 2008, was selling both GMC (just the commercial products) and Volvo trucks, located at 1973 E. Brooks Rd in Memphis, TN.
Marcus Jones Buick was located at 4258 Bluebonnet Drive in Stafford, TX (according to Google results), but the property appears to be home to a bunch of smaller businesses. Hard to tell that there was a Buick dealer there, tbh. You wouldn't happen to have some familiarity with that area, would you, Dave?
Hey wow, I had totally forgotten about the Garfield/Embassy commercial.
DAVE, I'M A LITTLE OLDER THAN YOU... HOW ABOUT COMMERCIALS FROM THE LATE 50S AND EARLY SIXTIES 👍 ESPECIALLY TOYS 🥰
I have another batch of 50s/60s stuff soon!
I’d make him turn off the caps lock first
@@Creepingdeathx81 I LOST MY "READERS"🦯🥴 SORRY ❣️❣️

Maybe the conversation in his head is loud af🤣
Ooooooh! 12 million bytes of memory expansion!
Walter Payton might be the only athlete who'll ever be able to have a nickname like "Sweetness" and it not be derogatory.
Those Energizer ads have me wondering if the Energizer Bunny wasn't a thing, yet, or it was just absent from those particular ads.
Nah, I refuse to believe you'd ever find a small child in the US who prefers Corn Flakes over Frosted Flakes unless they've just never had Frosted Flakes.
19:23 - 19:48 Look at that early as hell cgi. That ad must've cost a pretty penny for the time.
Not only did I just watch over 21 minutes of nothing but retro commercials I have to admit I enjoyed it and subscribed to your channel 🙂 Took me back to a simpler time that I now long for. Great job young man 👍 I must pose one question however, I remember a commercial where the woman asked her husband/bf whatever, if the pants she was wearing made her butt look big and he quickly unequivocally sounded no it does not. Is there anyway you could possibly find that ad, a years worth of steaks is riding on it lol. Thanks for all you do, you’re very unique and greatly appreciated 🙂
3:36 Love these clean guitars!
Thank you Dave
I carry my Master Card for show....
lol
Those imitation GM parts are a real problem.
Loved seeing all the Tandy Computers commercials in this! Some of my earliest experiences in computing featured a Tandy-based 'puter and I'm certain those experiences helped further spur my interest in personal computers.
Question, what's the song that plays at the beginning of the video? I haven't been able to find it anywhere.
WOW 😲
always fun to see a new retro 80s commercials upload! I swear the guy in the nutrasweet ads (yuck, but anyway) sounds a bit like randy newman? made me wonder, tha'ts for sure.
Thanks for these ads, they were great, as always!
Someone please tell me the name and singer of the song for the book promotion. I really want to hear the whole song
It's beer... It's discontinued sweetener... It's cereal... It was the 80s.
3:24 It's the Hardcore Veteran, Terry Funk on the Left.
18:54 A young adult Wesely Snipes?
I've never felt so personally attacked by a commercial than the one woman telling us she doesn't trust people who don't eat burgers.
ruclips.net/user/shortsYP1aBxXrtI8
Huh.
It made me so hungry for a burger.🍔

BUDWEISER AMERICA'S CUP CHALLENGE 16:21 16:27
The biggest takeaway I'm getting here, is Randy Newman made a ton of money on one song.
18:25 the talented John Zarchen
Did you catch Wesley Snipes in the Western Union Commercial. This was way before he was even a star. I believe just before the movie major league
Back when marketing departments actually wanted to make the company profits. lol
This makes me sad for the Radio Shack Tandy PCs which were cutting edge at the time
Request all the freedom and America you can gather as we fight Cold War 2
18:55 cant tell if thats wesley snipes or just sum black guy 🤣
I keep meaning to ask, but what is the song in the order of cosmic champions commercial at the beginning of every video? It's so good and I can't find it anywhere else

Now they don't sell you 2 tacos or 2 burritos for $1 2 for $6 smh
Oh if the 1980's could ONLY see how far we have come with technology. Todays' tech absolutely drops a **figurative** atom bomb on 1980s tech.😂 I love how they animated Jimbos' tattoo warship sinking Dukes' tattoo warship. LoL.. 😂 In the Saab 900 Ad, Left and Right should have been reversed because the car is left hand drive. The ignorant ad was talking about how you saw the TV from your perspective. WTF!? There are TO MANY nasty Nutri-sweet Ads!!! WTF!???
