Actually I always check out the street views on the Google map first to make sure this route is safe. You can click on any intersection or any point on the road to check out the "Street Views" first and make sure this is not a dangerous highway.. Maybe you can try it next time. Nice video by the way.
Hi Joe this is your friend that lived in Taiwan in the 80’s, I went to the newspaper school learning Bo Po Mo Fo....LOL 😂 I watch your adventures and WOW listen to you!! Your Chinese is amazing! Makes such a difference living there for your language abilities!! Nothing compares to being surrounded by it, having to use it in daily life. Have fun- this is a great time in your life!!
I also went to the newspaper school for a time! However I still feel my Chinese has a long way to go! I should immerse myself more, I have been thinking about getting a part time job at a random store just to get in some quality speaking practice with customers 😆 Thanks for you kind and inspiring words!
I think that road is for motorcycles. a road for walk on a bridge is usually mark "行人專用" or higher than the motorcycle road & car road, like a sidewalk.
Funny you mention that because I have always considered the reverse and possibly moving to Japan after Taiwan. I moved to Taiwan from Vietnam back in 2018 and will likely be here another two years if not longer~ Japan is always a tempting spot though, let me know how you like it over there!
@@Travelingjoe absolutely. My hang up is the work life balance in Japan. Although, I guess that’s subjective and not a one size fits all experience. Should start to know what that’s like here soon.
@@NerdCaptain87 That is the same thing I have heard and also what keeps me away for now. I think Taiwan offers a good balance and gives you time for hobbies, schooling, travel, or whatever else.. not sure about Japan though!

That is a really good idea! I just trusted that if a bike could do it I could do it! 😆 I was wrong~
這座橋真的讓我吃驚一點

Always enjoy watching your adventures! Wondering if there were any shaved ice 🍧 shops along the way and please don’t forget to wear sunscreen! 😉
Shaved ice is luckily never too far away! 😂
Traffic condition in Taiwan is super dangerous! 走路要小心喔〜
Yes! This bridge was the most scary~ 😱
台灣真的是行人的地獄!道路設計是為汽車而設的,從沒有考慮弱勢的行人。
我的天阿,那個橋的部分真的超恐怖耶@@
對啊!其實我過橋時候,也考慮要叫警察救我😂

Yes I will have to double check next time instead of randomly following bicyclist! haha
awesome stuff as always mayn
Thanks!
Joe, how long have you been in Taiwan/plan to stay? I’m moving to Japan to teach English but considering Taiwan after. Thanks amigo.
