I shoot on a C300 and I've got three wedding videos I'm editing right now that we shot in the last few weeks. Although I've been editing scripted videos for YEARS in Premiere, your workflow is going to overhaul my whole way of working! Wedding videos are a whole different ball game. It's so refreshing to sit over someone else's shoulder and see the same tools from a fresh perspective. Thanks again for posting this GREAT video, it has been extremely helpful.
I'm a photographer learning about making film. And I have to say this break-down helps me a lot. Thank you very much and keep up the great work. Well done man.
Thanks so much Tyler. I watch all of Kraig's videos as they are so helpful, Thanks for doing this in Premiere Pro, which I use. Thanks for all the explanations also, subscribed. Please do more!
Nice video my friend ...you are very good ....i like all the tutorial i am a videographer from Greece and we have many same ideas as i am working on wedding films...congrats....!!
Hi! Thanks, very helpful !, i noticed you use the label section on the timeline at 02:46, i try to figure out how to create the label section but couldn't find. Can you brief me how to find the label section maker that you have created? Thank you.
Hey Shahrul! Thanks for checking out the video! So I actually made a whole video on how I use markers to make those labels! Search the channel for "Using markers to organize your timeline" and it'll come up!
Hi The Herrintons! Yes, i found it and already applied that method. It's really helpful and more easy for me. Thanks a lot for sharing! have a good day.
+bikmart Great question, thanks for asking! It is a marker (M hot key) but then you hold down alt while clicking on the marker and you can expand it. Then I go in and double click the marker and give it a name to act as a label. Super helpful to organize clips in timelines!
This is terrific. Had a question... I am having problem with lag time on the playback of the edit - do you know if there is a way to export smaller files, direct to the edit, and then once finished redirect to the large files, and export that way? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for watching Corey! So, you can change the playback quality from Full to 1/2, or 1/4. If you're still having trouble, Premiere does have a Proxy feature now which is great! In your Project Library right click on the clip(s) you want to edit and go to Proxy>Create Proxy. Choose one of the presets and it will create a smaller file that's automatically linked that you can use to edit! I hope that helps!
Thank you so much for this. I took all of your steps, and unfortunately, I think my Mac Air just doesn't have enough power to run 5 videos at once for the multicam feature. But definitely looking forward to making this happen in the future! All my best to your continued success.
If you set in and out points in the timeline, go to sequence and select “render in to out”, it will render the selection and you’ll be able to play it without any lag. It will stay that way until you edit that specific section.
Hey Ben, thanks for the comment! I do use the multicam tools in Premiere when I'm cutting together the film, but once I get it pretty much laid out, I don't need the MC window anymore and it uses up a lot of computer resources and can slow things down. I have another video on my channel about my Multicam workflow if you want to check that out!
Hello, m thinking to learn premiere or after effects. my main interest is editing videos (as in jumping from one short to another shot) with some color corrections using background music in the same to enhance it. m quite confused which software to learn. I would really appreciate if u could help me. love from India

How do you make those labels at 2:46? (I.e., Pre-ceremony Details, Reception Details, etc.)
Check out this video on how I do that using markers! ruclips.net/video/RegUx1gNLLE/видео.html

Ah yeah a Macbook Air will probably struggle with multiple streams of clips no matter what. Thanks, best of luck to you too!

Do you offer full production and how long time usually is full film of the wedding?
Awesome video as always. Why don't you do your multicam sequences in premiere? If you nest the clips you can multicam in the program window.

What is that tablet setup you are using to edit! I need this plz!
It's a Wacom Intuos Pro, size medium!
what's the pen tablet pad thing you're using?
What is the preset for export in the premiere?
I just use the built in export settings for Vimeo or RUclips depending on what I'm exporting for!
Do you know any place to get music to use in wedding video for free?
just google royalty free music. You usually just have to list the credits at the end.
Thanks a lot, do you give your clients a DVD with 3h30',if yes how you export it and what program you use next please
We don't do DVDs, but if you want to make them I highly suggest looking into Mediazilla. We're making the switch this year! We currently offer USB.

What kind of tablet are you using for your edits?

audio tip. next time cut out the audio section that's low, right click and normalize to 0
Thanks, I'll give it a try!
