BASICS OF ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY by Dr Gaurav Agrawal

ECHO is a very commonly advised test in Pediatric cardiology especially where we are suspecting a structural malformation of the heart and great vessels.
A pediatrician in emergency situations can very well do a screening ECHO to take important and timely decisions for management or be it a timely referral to a Pediatric Cardiologist. So a basic know-how of ECHO is must for all clinicians.
Dr Gaurav Agrawal, who is a Senior Consultant Pediaitrc Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at BLK Children Heart Centre, Delhi, would be taking a series of Video sessions to orient our colleague paediatricians.
This maiden talk will take us through the basics or the physics behind the ECHO and would highlight how this knowledge is useful in handling a ECHO study.
