  • The music video:
Today I Fell From Grace is a colorful walk through an intriguing maze of music and art genres. Shot in the famed Metropolitan Museum of Art, E. James Smith’s musical character The Man in White returns for a third music video. First walking down a long country road, then through busy Spanish Harlem, now the Man in White is “searching for salvation” while strolling through paintings, statues and musical instruments intercut with footage of the E. James Smith Band playing live recently at the 11th Street Bar in New York City’s East Village.
    The song:
Today I Fell From Grace is a pastiche of emotions confronting love, shame and growing old. This upbeat toe-tapper is written by songwriters E. James Smith & Albert J. Reynolds, who penned She’ll Take You So High, The Detail Man and other recent releases. Produced by E. James Smith and Tim Phillips, the song features the band’s soaring vocals and a searing lead guitar by Albert J. Reynolds, interwoven with a spirited 5-string fiddle by Brittany Jones. Ben Alleman returns with a soulful Hammond B3 organ while Kevin Kinane holds down the fort with his skip-step drumbeat and percussion.
