This song is about two people who meet during Astral Travel, and fall in love with each other. But, they live so far apart, so they can never actually be together. Only their astral bodies can meet each other, and eventually they most part ways, never to be seen again, in the astral or physical universe. No last words...just memories...
Kinda reminds me the series His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman (the first book is also the movie The Golden Compass). Not astral, but different universes
@@vivianc.7983 oh yes.. know exactly which two characters you're talking about. Heartbreaking 💔 Also can't believe I wrote that comment when I was 13. 20 year old me could never !
Maybe I'm just rapping on nostalgia here, but to me this band was never the same after Tarja was let go. Her voice is incredibly moving in a way that none of their other singers have been able to replicate.
Agreed, Nightwish was never the same, the last album really took a whole different direction, Jukka leaving because of insonmia and now with Marco's departure... that's pretty much the last nail on the coffin. It was a great ride but it's never going to be as powerful as the first albums.
from 1:52. Tonny Kakko's voice complement's Tarja's voice so well. And the instruments raise their voices to amazing heights of listening pleasure. I adore this remake.
The original has such rawness to it, but I just realized the lyric change in this one...and tarjas voice is softer...AMAZING! Both are unbearably amazing
step1 : listen to this song step2 : look up "astral projection" step3 : listen to this song again , understand the lyrics step4 : be amazed of the fucking genius of nightwish
You're a genius! This actually so much sense. Originally, I really stuck with this song mainly for the fact that the instrumental and vocals slapped, but now knowing exactly what the lyrics mean- Deadass a massive eye-opener to such a fantastic song! Now I love it even more with how poetic they are!
Yeah I think so too... But hey did you hear they might be performing Angels Fall First tracks in the future with Troy singing the male parts! That's just crazy and so exciting. :D
Funny thing about this re-make is the fact that, though Tuomas changed lyrics partly, in one interview he said he didn't remember this change at all. I don't believe he forgot it and he don't know why he did it. I think it was just too personal matter and I do not blame him that he didn't want to acknowledge it. Normal thing. Yet curious little news it is. It's so good that Tony sings it and not T. and I guess he thinks the same. :D And most of us too. ;)
I heard the first version and I was like ''puh, what the heck happened?'', and then I heard this one and said:'' Yeah, that's the one!'' (this one was the first Nightwish song I listened years ago and I wanted a quick reminder of the good old days). :)
Some lad on Song Meanings had noticed that the intro sound a bit like Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd, something which I had never realized before. Now as I listen to this, gotta say the guitar solo sounds a bit like Comfortably Numb solos too. Both are magnificent songs!
100% agreed. The original was closest to perfection. And I don't mind Tuomas' singing lol. Plus this one seems softer, specially the vocalization parts
I hope Marko focuses on TAROT ffs .. I am very fond of them. Now that I no longer enjoy Nightwish as I did before, since 2007! Honestly I enjoy this remake better than the original boy it's been 20 years ^^ Greetings from Bulgaria.
This does benefit from better production quality and some of the re-written guitar work is nice and is a bit more metal, but the original will always be special to me and in some ways is still better.
Copy pasting from another commentary... This version seems like Toumas got more depressed about love... Or about his love to... Tarja? I don't know... We'll never know...

It is different, but that is life.
life is change.

@@xKey015x almost like a last ride of the day...
Nightwish after Tarja just sounded like a band trying to be Nightwish. Though Dark Passion's play is still one of my favorite albums
It's not just you... a lot of people think that. Me included. Tarja isn't easily replaced.
(instrumental) thank you, I like this kind of subtitles as a deaf person listening to this.

Wait, what? TONY KAKKO SANG THIS VERSION?! OMFG! I LOVE THIS SONG EVEN MORE NOW! Sonata Arctica is my favorite band!
The original has such rawness to it, but I just realized the lyric change in this one...and tarjas voice is softer...AMAZING! Both are unbearably amazing
I couldn't stop headbanging, air guitar, and lip singing Tony part! This song ROCKS!

LOVE this version! 💜💜
I'm in love with this song ! Original and this too.
I could listen in a loop from 0:50 to 2:00 a thousand times. Her voice is mesmerizing.
Love Tony! He's voice is out of this plaent it's way to good *___*
Tony singing instead of Tuomas was a win
So in the original version was Tuomas who sang?
yup
ANTIIKKILAAMA wow...it gives certain magic to the song, and the album itself
Yeah I think so too... But hey did you hear they might be performing Angels Fall First tracks in the future with Troy singing the male parts! That's just crazy and so exciting. :D
I also think the tempo has been sped just JUST slighty, which is an improvement in my opinion.
I love this song!
Tony's voice is just.....indescribable

when i hear this song i can't stop crying cause it reminds me her.
As a college freshman, I fell in love with this song... And my best friend.
Both versions are amazing
He just sings for a few seconds and still I love his voice
This song is kind of...haunting in a way
Hear Ghost Love Score? Has this feel super hard. So good.
+xXRehcaXx oh yeah one of my favorites. It's pretty awesome live

Beautiful love song

now this version is much better :)
Omg, fuck yeah, I used to listen to Night Wish as a college freshman!
I hope Marko focuses on TAROT ffs .. I am very fond of them. Now that I no longer enjoy Nightwish as I did before, since 2007!

Greetings from Bulgaria.
That "mini-album" is called EP.
I prefer this version for the most part, but I do wish they'd kept the harp section, I really liked that part
I heard the remake before the original. It's taken some time to "like" the original.
so, this was done back in the day when tony's pronunciation wasn't that great :D it doesn't matter though, awesome song still :)
Astral Bromance
Is Astral romance another way to say Cosmic Love? XD
they did it first, way first
Fans thinking about Tuomas's love for Tarja started wondering... :D
True... in the original was like: i love her but i have to wait for her...
Remake: she will never love me, i'm alone...
😂😂😂
This does benefit from better production quality and some of the re-written guitar work is nice and is a bit more metal, but the original will always be special to me and in some ways is still better.
who sings it? I mean the man. what's his full name? bcoz his voice's my obsession, I'd die for his voice
Tony Kakko
Pretty God damn metal
I like this version better, though Tarja's opera part was better in the first one
PIĘKNA MUZA .......pozdrawiam
i like it!!! :3
сильно!люблю с молодости . молодцы!
thaks :)
Tony's part is different from the original, huh interesting.
"Ain't no turn to concert hall, kinda like....." It's so easy to mishear lyrics.
Jamás olvidarémos está canción ya que Xia Ji despertó su verdadero poder aqui.
Tony Kakko is a god.
I was wondering who sings the male part and now I can see it's Tony!! Of course! :D
Closing solo section is a ripoff from Racer X 's "Technical Difficulties".
Still a good song though.
The quality is hurting. Great song though!
