I just added the high speed gears to mine. Got the blue one. Would have definitely went with the black had I seen it. I don't think I'll get rid of the xrt anytime soon. Beast of an rc
Man that black is SOOOO nice dude, excellent decision. I’ve seen the original body just looks like a generic, bright coloured run-of-the-mill, unrealistic RC body. That’s what I love about the outcast (especially the EXB Matt/gloss black max whaaaaat!?). It has the nicest lid of any of the fifth scale trucks, it actually looks like a cross between an old, and a new Chevy (IMO). Sometimes I wonder why most RC companies go with that fake truck instead of a slightly more realistic look. It just makes then look like an RC not a truck. Makes em look like a speedy rainbow lol, instead of an aggressive pickup. I guess it sells so who am I a blow against the wind?
So in order to get this from hobby shop, the shop can only sell traxxas. Those shops get them first, then the other shops can jump on from the back order.

I emailed my LHS an asked if I could pre order a black edition an they said they would have some in by January or February? wish I could just order one threw traxxas
I stopped by on my way home an snagged there last black Ford bronco trm for a Xmas gift. Hobbyshop said there still waiting on a part number for the black edition Xtra from traxxas. Then they will take pre-orders. They can't even get a black edition erevo 2.0., but mark Santa Maria can show one in the traxxas store on his vlog!?! crazy
