Personally, I would’ve loved an accessory that mimics Godzilla’s hand getting pierced by Biollante’s tendril, with yellow blood/acid/liquid seeping out, but as it stands, I’m looking forward to this figure shipping from Bigbadtoystore. If the price was lowered to maybe $50 at max, I could see this becoming the default Hesei Godzilla for any collection.
My favorite Godzilla design-my cousin got this guy for me for Christmas-can’t wait to set him up with my Biollante and Super X-2! You diorama set up with Goji’s emergence from the volcano is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
1989 was my grail and I'm glad they finally gave him a scaled Monsterarts treatment. I agree that the lack of accessories and the spotty quality on the paint apps slightly detract but overall I look at the figure and know exactly what I'm looking at. He's on a shelf right next to 1964 Emergence. I'm curious what the special color version of BioGoji is going to be in a year or two.
Awesome figure and review! I might pick him up but I'm still hoping for a re-release of the K Kouyoko version so he can scale with my neca Kong for a stop motion project haha
I actually plan on buying this once my grandparents give me money after Christmas, there’s currently one left at the mall near me (no one has bout it yet, it’s been sitting there for weeks as of rn)
I recently got the figure myself, and everything is GREAT. But the tail tends to pop off as the dum bell ball joint is very tight on one of the tail segments
I got mine two days ago here in Germany. I have to say the paint job at the mouth is not good. S.h. monsterarts needs to step up their game again. i also got the light and sound one. i like it better.
Ok, I'll be completely honest. This figure feels a bit... unnecessary. I just don't see the point in this release when the other releases from the same time period are nearly identical. I also think S.H. MonsterArts panders to collectors. I could be wrong, but that's the only reason I can see for why they don't include atomic breath effect parts for 70% of their Godzillas. They know most people who buy their figures already have at least one Godzilla that has an effect part.
Not really pandering to collectors I feel like Tamashii has just been milking the hell outta the Heisei era for well over 10 years despite collectors being vocal about wanting more Showa/Millennium era figures
It's not at all unnecessary for the simple reason that you already stated: the SHMA figure line is aimed primarily towards collectors. The problem hasn't been that the line has milked the Heisei era, the problem is that they've been doing so many special color versions of figures already released that the line has lapped itself. For collectors who want a figure of every single character, including all Godzilla incarnations, this is a very welcome addition. The other Heisei Godzilla figures have been out of print for many years and are wildly expensive. The only other 89 Godzilla figure was the lights and sounds version and many fans were vocal that they wanted a 6-inch scale version but we never got one. That said, things are looking very good for the future of the SHMA line. As I mentioned, they've now re-released almost every single figure in the line now, so the only option going forward is new figures. I believe the only figure from the Heisei era never made is an 84 Godzilla, and even that would be a welcome addition to the line.
@@cfighter95 OK, I guess that's fair if people are asking for this release. Still, they should be able to make figures that accommodate to both collectors and general fans. Their entire customer base isn't collectors. Some people just want one nice, detailed figure of their favorite version, but some figures come with atomic breath and some don't. So if they want their figure to spew fire, they have to buy another figure just for the effect part, regardless if they like the figure itself or not. I just don't see why they need to act like collectors are their ONLY audience.
@Rando Yaguchi The accessories add options for how you wanna display your figure. If you wanna have your Godzilla using his atomic breath, but you get one like this, you either need to buy another figure you maybe didn't want just to use its effect part or swap one in from the collection they assume you already have. Not everyone wants to collect them all and there are plenty within that group who would at least like the option to display their figure in alternate ways like that.

This is monster arts lol you are lucky if you even get a figure that doesn't fall apart lol
Also a hole for a Biollante figure, just any.
This guy is the bare minimum for SH. Monsterarts.
2:42 what is it with Diego Doom and getting godzilla figures that are more gum than teeth??
Lol well actually in this case it's not so bad bc BioGoji does have a healthy set of gums 😋
I'm looking forward to your both future reviews of both S.H Monster Arts Mechagodzilla 2021 and Singular Point Godzilla.
I will review them as soon as they are released this winter.
I always considers BioGoji as the definitive Heisei look for the character
Same
Best roar too!
Love how tall his neck is. Definitely the best proportioned Heisei Godzilla.
1991
I didn't even know that a new SH MonsterArts figure has been released. And of all times, it's BioGoji.
I really wish Tamashii would've included a Super X 2 accessory 😔
For being a simple Godzilla he is balanced very well. Love how you improvise with the lack of beam accessory very impressive
Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Support!
Fantastic review as always. My favourite Godzilla design, can't wait for mine to arrive.

@@DiegoDoom ok thank you!
Very nice! I do think it's time for a SHMA Godzilla '74. Conspicuously absent.
Thanks for Watching and Thanks for the Support Darryl! I agree a 74 would be great.
Or a '73?
Or goji’84

Right after I look at this sh monsterarts figure on the bigbadtoystore this video gets posted
Which Godzilla is one that looks like the 1989 one big bigger?? Looks great!
Cant wait mine to arrive!
Where did you get your fire breath accessories from? I just order this from sideshow and would to get some.
I used the original blue atomic breath effect part that game with SHMA G94.
One of my favorite godzilla designs. I do plan on getting this figure one day. Probably on Christmas I'm not sure yet.
Really debating if I wanna pick this one up, or the 1991 GhidoGoji version that just came out
What are those blue affect parts you used in the video? Where is a good place to purchase them? Awesome video by the way
Those are the Tamshii Flame effect parts. I'm not sure where to get them now.
At @0:41 what is the Godzilla figure on the far right?! Looks very similar just bigger to the 89!
Its the light and sound 89

Hope tamashii made a Godzilla 1984 since it’s the start of the heisei series
I love this version of the 1989 Godzilla figure
I actually plan on buying this once my grandparents give me money after Christmas, there’s currently one left at the mall near me (no one has bout it yet, it’s been sitting there for weeks as of rn)
Light and sound 1989 is the best Godzilla version! A must have for all Godzilla fans!
His voice is like a angel!….
This is AMAZING. Monsterarts Godzilla 1989!!!!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Realmente está fantástico eu queria muito ele na minha coleção
I really love 1954 Godzilla, 1989 Godzilla & 2004 Godzilla.
But, mines is coming at the end of this month.
What do you end up doing with the second figures? Do you sell them or just keep them stored away?
I keep them stored away. I did a live about it on my Instagram.
Awesome review 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching and thanks for the support!
Still my favorite Monsterarts figure to date!
After waiting a little over a month I’m finally getting this figure
Wait- does he come with the breath piece or no?
I wish Bandai included a blast effect at least
You said you wished it had the same sculpt if kyouku here but if It did some ball joints probably wouldn’t move as well as the smaller version
I would like to get this figure!!!! Yesterday I was at my local collectors shop they said they would be in stock with the 1989 goji on friday
Im getting this for Christmas
1:07 when someone tells me/i see that diego doom posted a new video
I recently got the figure myself, and everything is GREAT. But the tail tends to pop off as the dum bell ball joint is very tight on one of the tail segments
Does the tongue have a ball joint?
Ugh mine doesn't arrive for another 2 months
Oh i have that!!! Love it its fantastic
Im shocked tbh ! Its really good.
I have this figure. Its amazing.
I love this figures
I’m very impressed by that tail. Let’s hope singular point Godzilla can pull it off too.
hell yeah it did
I'm thinking about what to buy between S.H Monster Arts 1989 Gojira and 2004 Gojira. You pick one.
I'm late but you should do 89. I dont have 89 but I had 2004 and it fell apart easily.
I wish I would have Godzilla Ultima S.H Monster arts
I got mine two days ago here in Germany. I have to say the paint job at the mouth is not good. S.h. monsterarts needs to step up their game again. i also got the light and sound one. i like it better.
Absolutely fantastic!
Shall we agree this Godzilla 1989 figure is the best despite issues with the figure?
I don’t know if I should buy this.
Where do you get these figures

Fantastic!!!!

This is one of if not the most iconic heisei design. A lot of people wanted this and would be disappointed if it wasn't made.
Is the ‘94 figure really taller?
Not really
No it’s not. It’s the shortest of all the SHMA Heisei Godzillas
I have that!
Nice!
Hey hey wait a minute....when did this happen?:S
but... this figure is also sculpted by yuji
I got that
Still waiting for 1968
nice
Thanks!
Ooh
My one was 94 .00
What is the difference between this and the kkk
The KKK is larger, has less articulation, has a light up feature and a sound feature.
