@sealfourtyfour did not play rust pre recoil update but IMHO the recoil isn't even that big of a change... if anything it made the game easier for some players as back then with the old recoil you can script the recoil pattern making it way harder to detect a cheater.

PvE games are much more enjoyable in my opinion. EVERYTHING about them is just so much more appealing. And sadly... You do still have to deal with cheaters. They can't just get better at the game. Not sure what's so important in their life that they can't spend a little bit more time playing and practicing. At least they are a SIGNIFICANTLY smaller problem. But the cheaters who play PvP games still play in PvE. They are still in that PvP mindset, so they will actually troll other players to still try and ruin their experience for some sort of imaginary upper hand. A pretend victory over the 'competition'. They are really, REALLY pathetic.
It's never going to stop,with the constant game sales ,not just in rust but most online games it makes it much easier for them to grab a new account on the cheap,this is why I'm considering stopping playing rust altogether as facepunch themselves are aiding this situation.

Its not just australian internet thats bad itll be also your router, youll need to get one with more bandwidth so it can handle running your game uploading to youtube, ethernet can also help

There are a ton of pieces of software which false flag as cheats to eac, sometimes I feel bad when he’s being harsh to a player who there is a possibility they didn’t get correctly game banned and he says “well why didn’t you re-buy actual rust” when rust just stole their money by false banning them…

how did you go about geting into being a server admin. ive been back playing rust for a few month now after a work incident that has made me medically unfit to work now. i have severe damage to my hand so pvp is almost impossible for me but love the game so trying to do something different to see the game and admin work would fill my boring days
Ever think that rust is selling accounts and thats why they dont perma ban people? I always wondered about stuff like that. Back when i played WoW i quit and 3 years after i quit my account got hacked. Now i dont use my computer for anything but video games at that point. No websites at all... i think some companys have employees that make extrea cash off things like that. Although ive never had my Everquest accounts hacked once.
Facepunch have to make a business decision on where to draw the line. Even Cheaters buy the cosmetics and stuff, so they are still customers. Rust is an interesting game in that Facepunch cannot punish Cheaters by resetting their accounts.
Camomo server banning cheaters with E.A.C. not game-banning them is exactly like police catching criminals and the courts not keeping them in jail or just eliminating them and removing them from society. It's the exact same process. Sometimes it's the same offender, other times it's a different one. When the problem is not resolved at its source, it never ends. I play Rainbow Six: Extraction, so I'll give this example. It's like a nest that keeps spawning enemies. If you don't destroy the nest, they'll keep spawning. It baffles me that there are people who get enjoyment out of getting away with doing something that they aren't supposed to do, regardless of what it is. That mindset is poisonous and these criminals are teaching their children and the youth in general to adopt this mindset. Good people teach their children to just do nothing? Somehow it seems just natural for humans to want to act with evil intent. So what is it that's different about people like Camomo and myself who actually hold good intentions? What is it that seems to differentiate good people from bad people? Why are people just naturally drawn to either good or evil, and why is it that good people refuse to deal with the problem in an effective manner? Is it the superhero complex? "All killing is bad, and I'll be out of a job if I remove the threat! Screw the safety of those I'm supposed to protect! I need to hold a pretend moral high ground by being merciful to criminals like the Joker (Yes. I'm shitting on Batman right now. Deal with it.) so that I can keep stopping them and people will have to respect and rely on me. Conflict is more important than peace, because it's entertaining." If Batman put on his big boy pants and killed the Joker after the 2nd or 3rd offense, and he just accepted that it had to be done instead of driving himself violently insane after doing it, because he's mentally fkd... So many lives would be saved. Less people would die, less people would be maimed or miserable or terrified. He'd actually have more time to live part of his life as Bruce Wayne. He could truly be both Bruce Wayne and Batman, instead of spending ALL of his time stalking these criminals to protect people in the way that he does. I get it if you want to give a cheater or criminal a 2nd chance. Maybe even a 3rd chance depending on exactly what they've done and how they've acted. After the 10th time though? When are good people finally going to say, "This is enough! I want my life to be peaceful! That means removing the problems and those who create them permanently from my life!" You can ignore them and they'll just go and bother someone else, but the problem is still there. YOU don't have to deal with it, but somebody does. Some of them will reform, but why spend 80 years to reform someone who will stay that way for 1 year before they die of old age, when you've got other people who are more worth your time. People who don't need reformed. People who are always respectful. Wouldn't you rather spend your time with them? Why do people always choose this self-destructive path of letting the villains win? When they keep on doing bad things, it's because they aren't afraid of the consequences. So instead of reducing the harshness and giving them a big hug and telling them, "It's okay. I still love you!" Good actions should be rewarded. Bad actions should be punished. That's how you properly raise children. That's how you teach people not to put their hand on a hot stove. It's JUST CAUSE AND EFFECT! We are hard-wired to understand that actions have consequences. Don't give them the hug until they've earned it! Why is the entire species trying to destroy common sense? This is why suicide rates are so high. Good people have realized that there is NO future. There is NO point in living in such a shit-hole when the people who control the world are pushing it in such a bad direction. It will only continue to get worse unless somebody changes something... But nobody is working to make the changes that need to happen. The world is just broken, and even if people aren't okay with that they will do NOTHING to fix it. Humanity gloats about how amazing they are, but in truth they are shameful and disgusting! And don't even get me started on stupid or lazy people who will just make excuses... I can't.

Camomo You should keep a tally of how many bans you do in a month. Start on the 1st of a month and do 2 different columns: 1 for cheating and the other for ban evading.

Camomo server banning cheaters with E.A.C. not game-banning them is exactly like police catching criminals and the courts not keeping them in jail or just eliminating them and removing them from society. It's the exact same process. Sometimes it's the same offender, other times it's a different one. When the problem is not resolved at its source, it never ends. I play Rainbow Six: Extraction, so I'll give this example. It's like a nest that keeps spawning enemies. If you don't destroy the nest, they'll keep spawning. It baffles me that there are people who get enjoyment out of getting away with doing something that they aren't supposed to do, regardless of what it is. That mindset is poisonous and these criminals are teaching their children and the youth in general to adopt this mindset. Good people teach their children to just do nothing? Somehow it seems just natural for humans to want to act with evil intent. So what is it that's different about people like Camomo and myself who actually hold good intentions? What is it that seems to differentiate good people from bad people? Why are people just naturally drawn to either good or evil, and why is it that good people refuse to deal with the problem in an effective manner? Is it the superhero complex? "All killing is bad, and I'll be out of a job if I remove the threat! Screw the safety of those I'm supposed to protect! I need to hold a pretend moral high ground by being merciful to criminals like the Joker (Yes. I'm shitting on Batman right now. Deal with it.) so that I can keep stopping them and people will have to respect and rely on me. Conflict is more important than peace, because it's entertaining." If Batman put on his big boy pants and killed the Joker after the 2nd or 3rd offense, and he just accepted that it had to be done instead of driving himself violently insane after doing it, because he's mentally fkd... So many lives would be saved. Less people would die, less people would be maimed or miserable or terrified. He'd actually have more time to live part of his life as Bruce Wayne. He could truly be both Bruce Wayne and Batman, instead of spending ALL of his time stalking these criminals to protect people in the way that he does. I get it if you want to give a cheater or criminal a 2nd chance. Maybe even a 3rd chance depending on exactly what they've done and how they've acted. After the 10th time though? When are good people finally going to say, "This is enough! I want my life to be peaceful! That means removing the problems and those who create them permanently from my life!" You can ignore them and they'll just go and bother someone else, but the problem is still there. YOU don't have to deal with it, but somebody does. Some of them will reform, but why spend 80 years to reform someone who will stay that way for 1 year before they die of old age, when you've got other people who are more worth your time. People who don't need reformed. People who are always respectful. Wouldn't you rather spend your time with them? Why do people always choose this self-destructive path of letting the villains win? When they keep on doing bad things, it's because they aren't afraid of the consequences. So instead of reducing the harshness and giving them a big hug and telling them, "It's okay. I still love you!" Good actions should be rewarded. Bad actions should be punished. That's how you properly raise children. That's how you teach people not to put their hand on a hot stove. It's JUST CAUSE AND EFFECT! We are hard-wired to understand that actions have consequences. Don't give them the hug until they've earned it! Why is the entire species trying to destroy common sense? This is why suicide rates are so high. Good people have realized that there is NO future. There is NO point in living in such a shit-hole when the people who control the world are pushing it in such a bad direction. It will only continue to get worse unless somebody changes something... But nobody is working to make the changes that need to happen. The world is just broken, and even if people aren't okay with that they will do NOTHING to fix it. Humanity gloats about how amazing they are, but in truth they are shameful and disgusting!
And don't even get me started on stupid or lazy people who will just make excuses... I can't.

Camomo You should keep a tally of how many bans you do in a month. Start on the 1st of a month and do 2 different columns: 1 for cheating and the other for ban evading.
