It would still be frustrating I reckon even if they were nice to him, just the fact he went back to cheating.

I don't play Rust or own the game but I love watching the pros play. I can see why novices become frustrated. No doubt cheating makes the game worse but there is simply no solution here.
@@AlexRickabaugh I agree but seeing it from his pov I don't think he misuses his cheats he just wanted to gain an upper hand to defend himself, he sounds like he probably doesn't play much so getting slaughtered by those that see the sun once per week is kinda heartbreaking so he hacks to atleast not get zeroed if he ran into them. Yep, thats why we need a open standard, open sourced anti cheat. As community development will drive cheaters getting banned, rather than non-opensourced anti cheats. And it'll be privacy respecting sense anyone and anything can view the code, and contribute. Not to mention faster patches for cheats.
The casual Rust cheater proceeds to maybe insult the admin a few times and then Ragequit right before they get banned. This dude was up for a whole damm chit-chat, not once but twice! I respect that lol. Nice video as always ^^
Nice to see a polite young man that unfortunately broke under the pressure of the game. The fact that he kept his manners kinda tells me that he's not deep into the dark side.
This guy was being truthful all the way. You can see by his movements his brain has not rotted. This was an experiment and I understand his logic. Like he said He’s frustrated with the gameplay loop Rust has a very high skill ceiling, it’s tough to enjoy the game because 75%+ of the players are 5k+ hours deep and know how to out play you in every situation Now face punch is in a strange situation, make the game more accessible but alienate their main player base (they have done this to an extent already) Or Abandon the new players to keep the player base they already have Neither is good Finding the middle ground is near impossible to make everyone happy But at the same time, it’s all about attitude and mindset I play Warthunder, which has a similar issue I’ve finally passed the barrier and am now a sweat that will drop a 20 kill game from time to time and people get pressed over it But it’s because I gave up on trying to WIN, and decided to just have fun Went from getting 5-6 kills and 2-4 deaths on average, to around 13 kills to 2-3 deaths on average I play the tanks and planes I wanna play, that are fun, not the meta stuff Yeah people will abuse the meta stuff, but that makes killing them all the more satisfying It’s all about mindset Never play to win in a game, play to have fun, and then when you inevitably lose, you will still enjoy the time you spent playing, instead of seeing it as a waste of time
@@bornonthebattlefront4883 Sure, if you consider adding a tutorial mode "abandoning new players". Nothing stopping new players from playing on pve servers to learn, as if there are not plenty of hazards without the toxic player npc. So many layers, as is true in all aspects of life. Also a good demonstration for how people are (analog VS binary or shades of gray VS black and white), we are ever changing. Hope he continues to cheat, it would elevate the "quality" of adversaries Camomo faces in these videos, unless you prefer those who shout race bound insults among other cheap/vulgar language ... The "war" between cheaters and those who oppose them is eternal, cheating extends beyond gaming and with it, will endure as long as WE DO. I enjoy this "Cat and mouse" sort of "hunting"... A battle of tactics, the cheaters trying to maintain an image of innocents/compliance, with Camomo having to "trap or bait" the cheaters into providing visual proof of guilt for videos. If you know enough.. you understand that this is the "tip of the iceberg" and those like Camomo are standing against the incoming TSUNAMI... A great display of defiance! No doubt, but still just that... Imagine tiny man standing against 300 foot wave getting sweep away with a hilarious scream... or fart sound effect for the brothers.. because funny. To say "it's an UPHILL BATTLE" is a gross understatement of the overwhelming scale. It's frozen, upside down and under freezing water... GOOD LUCK WITH SCALING/CONQUERING THAT!
The reason why online cheating is running rampant everywhere. Cheaters just love to come back & provide cash flow to the companies. They don't give a fuck about us real players. Just money.
The cheaters bring in the big bucks. Think of all the accounts they burn through. Only way to play is on privately owned servers these days, and even then the admins don't put in half the effort Camomo does. Or it doesn't feel like it anyway.
You are a good man Camomo. Thanks for sticking around. Thanks for helping the community and not leaving this wonderful game go to shit. We need more people like you.
This is the first time i ever understood a cheaters pov and actually felt sorry for him. He was so cool about everything he talked with respect, wasn't racist, didn't insult nothing he just wanted to cheat in peace. He is the type of guy that probably doesn't misuse his cheats. First cheater i liked i hope he stops cheating and finds a server that would let him admin.
I actually understand him. I have 380 hours in rust. It was standing between playing against cheaters without cheat, cheat myself or quit the game. I'm 36yo and have NEVER had cheats on my computer but I was really tempted. I decided not to ruin my 36yo cheat free streak and I just quit the game. It's sad because rust is a pretty cool game, but i'm never coming back.
Im in the same boat with Tarkov. Why bother learning to play a game when some dude with a credit card can buy "skill". SPT Tarkov keeps it alive for me, Rust doesn't have that luxury.

Cheats have been evolving while game company's are focusing less and less on anticheats. Any way to cut a corner with these big game companies now a-days. I dont like fortnite but I can appreciate their team on keeping their game super on point with baning cheaters. I personally love COD but I gave up on the fun aspects because of cheating and implementing ways to suppress the actual good players (skill-based matchmaking) now im just enjoying helldivers. I will say tho I miss the way multiplayer used to be and I can appreciate Camomo for what he is doing. I almost guarantee you he uses specialized anti-cheat ai that detects player irregularities i saw something on it a while back. That with other tactics obviously, although I hope these companies can take notes and evolve like the cheats do otherwise multiplayer games will become a game of who has the latest most expensive software.
Cheaters made me quit rust and EFT, used to have so much fun and completely ruined it for me. Don’t really have a game I’m enjoying now so just replaying fallout 76. Thanks for what you do honestly.

@@wod011 I get the point you're making but its not synonymous with rust man, most other games yeah 2 hours a day might fill your candy bag if thats enough but rust is just not the same. Unless you're playing 2x 5x or some crazy modded server, 2 hours gets you a basic metal base at most, some components and basic gear, maybe even some good gear if you're lucky, but then its right on for an offline raid.. unless you've got the time to consistently protect your base and be active, especially if you're solo, enjoying the game is just not gonna happen. Coming from a guy who used to skip school to play rust years ago, im now 24 and wouldnt touch the game with a 12 foot pole. I've tried to get back into it over the years but having a full time job, gym, and other things outside of the computer now, I'd still consider myself a competitive guy, but rust needs a next level amount of commitment to get anything done, thats just how it is, you could enjoy modded for the 2 hours I suppose but those mods give others the edge to offline you even more lol so I guess if you were to play daily and you enjoy that its just gonna be you as a freshspawn every day against people with full sets, trying to make something happen in 2 hours before you lose it all the next day.. that might be some peoples cup of tea but its no wonder the major majority of the playerbase is kids and the adults are leaving lol, we did everything we could back in the day pulling all nighters and shit just to guard the base 🤣no time for it now lol
I like it how Camomo just asks server owners on discord if he could be teleported to a cheater to have a chat and they just give him admin instead honestly this guy has to be leveling up his charisma
Dear Camomo, what you do in Rust is a real pleasure and its more than awesome someone does this... i just hope at one point in gaming history all cheaters will be banned from all platforms they use when caught cheating... Its sooo sad people are like these and destroy the game experience for everyone, i hope some day it will be possible to ban ID's or serialnumbers of PC parts that they never been able to come back whatsoever... keep going what you are doing we normal players really appreciate it.
Great vid, it was a lot of fun seeing you catch them back to back like that. Was nice to hear a cheater that didn’t have to be muted and was not personally attacking you and yours. Keep fighting the good fight.
I found a cheater on a server I played and reported him but I got into a fight with him and 4 other teammates and absolutely killled all of them and the admin watching me thought I was cheating because I have 700 hours but I really just play to much aim train but I really love you great work.
There are good admins out there, they're just corrupted by the amount of power they hold on the server. Some admins get a power trip over banning people, pushing players around and exploiting game mechanics. There is a small handful of Admins that are passionate about what they do, though majority prefer Wealth of the server than the Health of the server. EAC Should hire you Camomo.
I kinda feel for the guy and his reasoning DOES make sense despite making the game worse. He's confronted with the reality that many of the Rust players have tremendous amounts of time playing the game. I watch guys like BluePrint, alone and tokyo, Willjum and these guys have uncountable hours. Willjum will often spend an entire day in Rust and I've known him to react, while sleeping, to his allies calls for reinforcement and wake up and log into the server. While all this makes for pretty amazing gameplay to watch if you're just getting into rust or even a novice its' gotta be immiserating to just get steamrolled over and over again. I don't think there is any solution here. It strikes me as a similar situation where the recording industry made the cost of buying your favorite songs more and more prohibitive so people just starting downloading music until the accessibility came down sufficiently where people will either tolerate adds or buy .99 cent copies on iturnes or pay for a monthly subscription service.
That's the exact reason I don't play anymore. There's too many high skill players and cheaters to allow someone less skilled to enjoy the game when it requires hours of patience and perseverance to get anything accomplished only to have it wiped away time and time again. with over 600 hours of Rust I just couldn't ever get anywhere. I tried several servers outside of the official servers, but they were often too buffed, pay-to-win or under moderated, failing to keep that balance that makes the base game entertaining. I think it is solvable with a form of game-ranking. first step though would be to crack down on alts and cheaters. (There's no reason EAC couldn't all but eliminate cheating so maybe there's an unseen profit motive for them to not have already done so.) Then, using game metrics, a sort of "skill Score" could be established to pair your account with servers that host within a certain skill range... Make playing higher skilled servers than your own score optional and make joining lower than your skill impossible. this wouldn't need to be mandatory as a server owner to implement but could seriously benefit many communities and potentially increase the Rust player base.
@@mindwideopen2579 that'd be an smart way to solve it, but then you'd get skilled people making alts just to play on those "bot servers" just to have their own fun, imo it's kinda how every competitive game works. your better off grinding minecraft
@@Pepo.. that's where the game metrics come in. If you're showing skill much higher than the server you're on supports, you get booted. Has nothing to do with how long you have an account. Again, this needs to be an optional setup for server owners, not a defacto setup for Rust in general... And literally the first part of my suggestion was started with cracking down on alts and cheats. Rarely do people have alts in their name. It costs a lot more to buy rust over and over than it does to buy a cracked account so it's unlikely they would "just make a new account". Idk why you feel the need to insult someone you've never interacted with before, especially over a suggestion of how to increase the player base and allow for more skill development, but I guess that's par for the course with Rust players.
It's sad cause I really loved this game but I never noticed how many cheaters are in the game until I had thousands of hours, I finally realized that most of the times where I got killed at the perfect times wasn't a coincidence at all...
Very interesting. I think he was being very honest with his reasons, and was in the second meeting trying to imagine a way he could continue with a game he clearly liked but in a legitimate way. That's not going to happen of course. Just goes to show not everyone who cheats in a game is a raging racist child with a shitty outlook on everything.
honestly. if this guy could go clean for a while and totally uninstalled all the cheats, and never reinstalled them. id like to see him come back onto a video in a couple months for a quick chat just to check in on him as a reformed cheater. its refreshing to see someone like him in your videos.
Why they play games agaisnt other people is beyond me. I dont have time to play pvp games where people can just wipe you out so ya know i just dont play that.
Not really. I cheated becasue I was bored and just wanted to piss some people off. I was already "good" at the game. I just got fed up of 40 man zergs knocking on my door so decided to go buy some cheats and cheat for a few month. Don't do it now though. I even remember the exact moment I started cheating, there was a clan called Zoop on an official server, all tagged up. I must have died to them about 15 times because even though I killed 2-3 every encounter they were a 25man clan and had 1 guy at all times outside my base camping my door. So after the last death I just logged off bought some cheats, logged back on and killed them over and over outside their own base. I did that for about 4 hours before they logged and I hopped off and went to cheat on some more zergs on other servers. Even though I was being blatant as fuck I wasn't banned until 4-5 months later. About 2 days after I spent about a grand on skins weirdly enough. Still salty about that waste of money. But oh well. Just cos info is nice, I'm 24, had slightly under 12k hours, probably close to 15k now across 3 accounts (my main, an alt I cheated on for about 2 week and my now main I have never and will never cheat on) I even played camomo's servers for a fair few hours out of curiosity and he's never caught me but thats likely down to the fact I own a new pc and moved house and have never even logged into either of my banned accounts since so its probably impossible to link the accounts to my main

he tried so hard :D but he didn't want to lose 4000 metal ore :D so he preferred to be exposed and stopped paying attention to cheats :D loool, so cute :D Love you Camomo ! thank for your service to Rust comunity :)
The developers of cheats are very smart and generally have connections in high places. That includes working in EAC and charging high level cheat devs money to know about exploits (insiding).
Camono, love your videos. I Quit Rust because of all cheaters. I'm below average player and old (70 years old) and it is sad that the games have to have cheaters that makes game not fun to play. The Game creators should make it almost impossible to cheat. I have been playing games since 1970. I think that if it were not for cheater more people would play and make more money for the game owner.
The sad truth is though is that the video game companies make more money with cheaters. Since they have to buy the game over again. I don’t know if you have heard of “escape from tarkov” but they have game packages starting at I think $60 - $200. Same thing for call of duty, etc. more cheaters = more money. If they really wanted no cheaters then there won’t be any. With no days technology and AI. But I see what you are saying companies could make good money if players new games didn’t have cheaters and they would buy and play the game more.

Yep, thats why we need a open standard, open sourced anti cheat.
As community development will drive cheaters getting banned, rather than non-opensourced anti cheats.

This poor guy chose the wrong side. He is clearly a well mannered young man, so it makes no sense why he would cheat in the first place.
Like he said
He’s frustrated with the gameplay loop
Rust has a very high skill ceiling, it’s tough to enjoy the game because 75%+ of the players are 5k+ hours deep and know how to out play you in every situation
Now face punch is in a strange situation, make the game more accessible but alienate their main player base (they have done this to an extent already)
Or
Abandon the new players to keep the player base they already have
Neither is good
Finding the middle ground is near impossible to make everyone happy
But at the same time, it’s all about attitude and mindset
I play Warthunder, which has a similar issue
I’ve finally passed the barrier and am now a sweat that will drop a 20 kill game from time to time and people get pressed over it
But it’s because I gave up on trying to WIN, and decided to just have fun
Went from getting 5-6 kills and 2-4 deaths on average, to around 13 kills to 2-3 deaths on average
I play the tanks and planes I wanna play, that are fun, not the meta stuff
Yeah people will abuse the meta stuff, but that makes killing them all the more satisfying
It’s all about mindset
Never play to win in a game, play to have fun, and then when you inevitably lose, you will still enjoy the time you spent playing, instead of seeing it as a waste of time
@@bornonthebattlefront4883 Sure, if you consider adding a tutorial mode "abandoning new players". Nothing stopping new players from playing on pve servers to learn, as if there are not plenty of hazards without the toxic player npc.

Come to think of it. If facepunch banned cheaters, they wouldn't have part of their player base.
The reason why online cheating is running rampant everywhere. Cheaters just love to come back & provide cash flow to the companies. They don't give a fuck about us real players. Just money.

Camomo you are amazing man. Good work.
