speedwing is very steady and exactly made for this kind of flying .. the mini wing however ...can do almost the same ..but much more .. you can see clearly there is too much lift performance so you have to roll more to stay down its much more versatile and I think we are gonna see people doing more stuff with this kind of wing ..
WOW ! Incredible piloting skills from both pilots. I've only ever had a skydiving canopy at about 140° of bank on spirals with the canopy heavily 'loaded' & plenty of altitude in case things went south on me....kudos to these guys ! That 'Little-Cloud' mini-wing is sweet :)
@@SamuelVerma speedwing is more stable .. but for dunesoaring or highwind mauntain flying lc is the best ... i srarted with dune flying and would never have use for speedwing ..
As a Paragliding/Paramotor pilot, I'm not sure what the learning curve is to get to this level, but I'm sure it's pretty steep. I wonder how many times they fly the line before they get it dialed in proximity wise. The room for error is very low, serious flying skill, almost superhero level shit here.
God id love to do this. Used to paramotor very aggressively years ago. Stopped flying as I got bored. I got to the point where Id do nothing but barrel roll..
I see very very little margin for errors for both. Any miscalculation could be hurtful! Funny thing is, I’m sure one think “nah, it is just pure mastering”, and in the same time, after such line, the thinking is like “whoa, I came close on this one, what a thrill “. Take care, guys, you’ve got only one life.
I fly an 18 mini Roller and a 15 M ozone radios but almost all coastal high wind soaring. I always wanted to learn how to barrel roll but at 65 I try to keep it pretty conservative. Love the video where are you flying?

Been to nice places in New Zeeland, Australia and Bali, and I really learned a lot in Namibia near Swakopmund. I live near Cologne in Germany and have to travel to get up in the air. Sometimes it's the cost of Netherland, sometimes the alps. Where do you fly?
if you do not fly mini wings/speedwings or at the very least paragliders, you won't. The speeding is clearly faster more dynamic and sticks to the terrain, while the miniwing tends to climb out of every dynamic maneuver. The speeding is doing barrel rolls while the miniwing are more of high wingover, etc

These are essentially mini Paragliders... So, They're Aerofoil in profile, so they generate lift as they cut through the air, hence the name 'wing'. Meanwhile, a parachute descends, and so is not designed to 'generate lift' like a wing does. Mini wings and paragliders are tough, but no where near as heavy duty as a parachute would be. They are not designed for the levels of G-Forces experienced by a Parachute, especially when it deploys. Most glider pilots fly a wing, but carry a parachute as a safety option... Not that a parachute would be of use for much of this kind of acrobatic flying scenario! This is wayyy too extreme for me... I'm happy with flying the larger, 'full size' paraglider only 🙈 I hope that helps! 🙂
@@Wil_87 A parachute/canopy designed for skydiving is also designed as a wing, meaning it generates lift in a similar way as an airplane wing. Just not as much as a paraglider wing. Unless you are talking about round canopies, they just descend as you say :)

Great skill level but the accidents happen to those who are hotdogging like this. All he has to do is miscalculate by 2 feet or get stuck in a downdraft and it's death or a wheelchair. If they keep flying this close to terrain it's not if it's when.

... if you are a para pilot you see it clearly .. its food for speed rider pilots ..and the new class of mini wings that can almost do like a speed rider but much more in other terrains .. so it very informative for people who fly !! ..

Pretty clear that the first one is a speed wing and the second one is a miniwing, even without knowing the difference you can read, right?
The difference is quite obvious in their maneuvers, speed, and how one stick to the terrain, while the other tends to convert speed to height.
