I’m so glad cryptidcore is becoming a thing! I’ve always been fascinated by cryptids since I was young. It’s great to see the internet start to have an appreciation for them too!
I would just like to say that I am most certainly *NOT* a cryptid. I am *definitely* not a jumble of crows and magpies in a trench coat, I don't-- IS THAT A PULL TAB
@@loveryotber it’s creatures that the existence of them is not sure, like bigfoot and yeti are well know cryptids, but then you have nightcrawlers which are my favourite
i am going through that rn like i love cryptids and seeing movies and shows about them (especially horror ones, i kinda feel like those are more accurate to the creatures) but they also scare the living crap out of me but i manage :)
I have recently been going on a aesthetic for a story I'm writing and drawing ideas, and just when I thought I would end up leaning towards Dark Academia I discovered this one. After looking it up and seeing so many videos about it I was reminded of old ghost hunting shows, that one history channel show about cryptids, and how they introduced me to mothman, and how that interest lead me towards creepypastas and the Buzzfeed Unsolved show. Pretty much I have been living in a cryptidcore life before I knew what that was!
I put this on with wireless headphones and was cleaning my room, and the creepy please monitor your emotions thing scared me cause right after it started my air vent cover started rattling loudly and I genuinely froze in terror. TTwTT
10:05 That's Ratwyfe! They are singing their song Cryptid (Mothman) and its really good, highkey suggest checking em out :). That whole album is backed with bangers and they are criminally underrated so i figured i'd put some more overt crediting (not that you don't credit them, you do a good job of it, i just wanted to point it out more)
When I was little my dad had this book full of stories about cryptids and the moth man was the one that terrified yet fascinated me. He read the stories to me before I went to sleep and I loved falling asleep listening to a good spooky story.
When I was a kid(I was just 4), I was very interested in cryptid creatures and drawing them all the time, people called me a weirdo, but I still loved it, it was really something for me to pass time but soon I started to get a lot more interested in them I followed Jessi vee and other content creators who did cryptid content and then something called an aesthetic came in I didn't seem to fit in with anything even my friends tried to convince me to join their aesthetics but I can't be who I am so about a few years later I just found this treasure called Cryptidcore and all of the people in the community seemed to understand more than anyone else, it was a dream come true! So whoever created cryptid core you are a legend!! Also you got yourself a new subscriber!!!
I had no idea I was basically apart of this my whole life this is an amazing discovery. I now have a burning urge to make my room filled with Cryptidcore stuff
This is my aesthetic. Although it is mainly focused on the dogman. I made my own personal subversion of cryptidcore called dogmancore. The only diference that I see in my version of cryptidcore in comparisson to most vids, is the clothing style. For me the goal is to look like the cryptids and not look like I‘m hunting them.
I’m so glad to be back! I had to stop watching cryptid and alien videos cause of my anxiety and insomnia but I’ve overcome insomnia still have anxiety though but yeah! I always loved cryptids as a toddler and still do.
8:36 why the hell are people not talking about this person Why do i have the same amount of love and gender envy for this bean aaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa
Man I love this aesthetic. I live a town that was practically abandoned 20 years ago, but recently made a comeback and has grown a lot. Since a lot of historical buildings don't have any use anyone they turn a lot of small towns into shopping centers or, the sadder end of the tale, a street/building gets bought by a big filming company renovated to fit the time period/place their filming, then abandoned (I'm looking at you Netflix). So these old creepy buildings and endless woods in these pictures seem so familiar? To me, since if you don't drive into the city this without all the monsters, is exactly what my town earby towns look like.
I don’t think you necessarily have to “believe” in cryptids to to identify with crypticore. Besides it’s all just for fun and what makes you comfortable!
mothman is probably my favorite cryptid cause he never actually attacks people , the most he’ll do is like chase cars and honestly that’s hilarious
When you’re hopelessly paranoid and terrified of monsters/cryptids but you also love them

It’s been like 5 years and I’m still obsessed with mothman💀
Crytidcore just gives me such comfort and excitement. I seek adventure , not just a hike, if I’m not in danger than it’s not an adventure.
