I'm gay, and I'm confident and proud. Sayings like this may not hurt me as much as they used to, but the memories never go away. Good for Hilary! ^-^ She's such a sweet-heart. Also, to those who think this is an attack on your "freedom of speech" it isn't. The commercials are making an honest suggestion to think before you speak as it could be hurtful. Hilary never said you "can't" use the word gay negatively. Basically if you want to be an ass-hole, so ahead ;)
@@laracroftvideos Yes, they think twice and still use it. I only sometimes hesitate lest I get into trouble. Other than that we use it freely. Let me guess your gay, right?
My grandma told me a story when I was young about a boy that was her friends son who was not interested in girls and was bullied so much that one day his mom came home to him hung in his closed because he couldn't handle it any more.
That was funny, "that's so girl wearing a skirt as a shirt" I think it is plain silly to wear a skirt as a shirt, what if it slips down? That happened to a girl at my school one time, and she didn't even notice, until a boy told her to put her shirt back on!
Granted I've never been assaulted for being Christian but I have been speach bullied by it. I wish they'd make commercials to stop people from saying "Oh my God" because that offends me. Well everyone's religious beliefs are different, and we aren't required to follow a religion we don't believe in. "That's so gay" is a derogatory term nit matter what society you live in, as it is hurtful to someone's rights to be respected in their life.
I'm really glad they made this. I don't really have a problem with it but I do know a friend who sometimes gets really offended when people say things like "that's so gay"
I just don't understand why saying "That's so gay" is bad. It's not like people are going around saying that's so homosexual or that's so lesbian. I see that you all have forgotten that gay meant happy long before homosexuals came and made it a word describing their nasty life styles.
The only one who is "nasty" is pathetic haters like you. And they didn't take that word to describe themselves. It was straight people who gave them that name in the 60's or 70s.
Sinkatze it's not about being sensitive it's just you're being fucking rude by saying things like that why can't people just have respect for one another
I stopped watching when I realized they were comparing a simple phrase which is only hurtful if you take it out of context, with harassment of gay people. Get over it, good grief.
This makes me so mad when people say " That's gay" " gay" isn't an insult and people at my school say that all the time and it makes me mad. Why should some one care if any one is gay or not. I have never said this and never will because IT'S NOT AN INSULT!!!!! People at my school won't say there gay because they don't want to get picked on or beaten on. People who say this make me so mad. Please don't say this.
Seriously I cannot even understand these "people are too sensitive" comments like if gay rights weren't a problem it wouldn't be such a big deal the problem is at the moment gays we getting a lot of back lash and they are being so bullied right now so no, they aren't being "too sensitive" they're tired of being insulted and not accepted
