Top 5 Park probably pushing out Carowinds and right behind Kings Island, but Top 3 I still have Cedar Point, Six Flags Great Adventure, and Six Flags Magic Mountain in no particular order.
Since Lagoon and Knobels builds their coasters in house, I think it would be cool if they built one for each other since they're both independent parks. Like Lagoon does a steel coaster for Knobels and Knobels does a woodie for Lagoon. That would be epic!
Yes cause Lagoon (Which is my home park) needs a wooden coaster since they have one and Knoebels has a lot of wooden coasters so they need a steel coaster.
I wouldn't be surprised Lagoon would open their Manufacturing Company

And perhaps it's a relocated woodie Knobles would get to Lagoon, I'm talking Lakeside's Cyclone as it's definately still in good condition but with that park deteriorating and the ride SBNO they may be interested in selling it for a relocation to a park like Lagoon like that to raise funds to keep their park going.
Buy or Sell: BGW will get an RMC Hyper Hybrid to mirror Iron Gwazi, and BGT will get an Intamin hyper to mirror Pantheon but stand out from Velocicoaster

If anything Merlin or Parques Reunidos might try to expand into underserved American cities like Phoenix, Miami and Denver as the American economy stays relatively better off overall compared to Europe as an additional revenue stream.
Buy or Sell: Elitch Gardens is sold to a small park chain company like Palace and the park is relocated for the second time in its history to a new location somewhere outside of Denver.
Dean from GCI told me at IAAPA that Lake Compounce is already in talks for Titan track on both woodies, including a full retrack of wildcat

honestly not as crazy as it sounds with the LA Olympics coming up, buy. If the giga happens first than the hyper is prob dead. but if they get a hyper under the road and are able to get the giga plot approved, it could work. Knotts needs people eaters.
Don't forget our third B&M, Yukon Striker the dive coaster. Canada's Wonderland is my home park.

@@ducksfan_1149 Yep, if I remember correctly the Hyper was supposed to run the back side of the park where Perilous Plunge was, and tucked right behind where CoastRider is. Similar to Intimidator at Carowinds where it is an out and back, and the return track is essentially racer track style, side by side. Not sure if I am remembering this correctly, but with the Giga on the South side of the park, and most of the track in the parking lot it wouldn't be impossible to build both...maybe not probable, but still possible.

I would say it's more likely to be Lightning Rod though the I box conversion has greatly helped it's reliability
@Cyantist12 I think it’s more likely to be the first to have major work done to it due to its age. I don’t think RMC would allow the New Texas Giant to bite the dust as the Giant basically led the revolution that RMC has brought, which continues next year with Arieforce One and Wildcat’s Revenge.

I'd love to see them replicate the old Arrow Steeplechase model and have 3 or 4 dueling single rail coasters, probably with shorter trains. I used to love riding Soap Box Derby Racers at Knott's Berry Farm back in the day... be great to see it come back in a new form.
I could see it because I don't think there's a ton more wooden coasters to convert, and a single rail is cheaper than a ground up I Box ride.

I have such conflicted emotions about somehow hybridizing Boulder Dash... One the one hand, in the abstract, it'd be such a shame for this unique coaster to stop being a woodie. On the other hand... I have recent experience of how that thing rides, and it's not right. Something needs to be done.

Buy or Sell: In the next 5 years, we will see another major B&M be announced for a full retracking and restoration. Similar to Hulk and Nemesis

I think that's logical, but it probably won't be elite considering budgetary reasons and Matugani isn't too big, but that's just my opinion
But Adventureland already got a coaster this year!
Buy or Sell: Kings Island will get a custom RMC Hyper Hybrid themed to Son of Beast in the next 20 years
Conditional buy: I think that would make logical sense, especially with all the land out behind Banshee, but that would probably also be the end of the Bat.
@@TheRealPSKilla502 depending on how they set up adventure port, they could put a path back that way and not tear anything down. It’d be a dead end at first, but it would leave room for expansion.
Buy, but I do kinda think that @therealpskilla5028 is right that it would probably mean the end of the Bat (or as I knew it growing up, Top Gun). The Bat turns 30 this year, and Arrow coasters do have about 30-35 year lifespans, so it’s coming close to the end of its lifespan. Plus doing so soon would give parts for Iron Dragon and Vortex, despite they’re older than The Bat.

Buy or Sell: The new concepts from Skyline Attractions (Psghetti, Trailrunner, and light package) catch on like wildfire across the six flags chain, and signal the return of SF building coasters.

Planning my first trip to Hersheypark in August, really looking forward to the lineup. Hard to imagine it would be able to unseat CP, SFMM, and SFGAdv. Probably slots in at 7 behind KI and SFGAm, and just in front of Carowinds, BGT, and BGW rounding out my top ten.
Also big possibility: LIM’s will make a comeback with Vekoma!
A majority of B&M's cant actually change to the vests. The seats are further apart and the trains are larger on the vests resulting in a larger envelope.

Buy or Sell, Universal chose the land for Epic Universe specifically so it could hurt SeaWorld Orlando to the point that they can buy SeaWorld's park and eventually build Universal park #4 on that plot of land
While I’m not Chris here, I’m gonna sell this. Universal and Disney don’t directly compete with SeaWorld, so they can’t be considered in the same vein. They do what they do to compete against each other, not Cedar Fair, Six Flags or SeaWorld.
Buy or sell: Adventureland will do something BIG for their 50th anniversary in 2024-2025 (Such as removing Raging River and putting a couple unique major thrill flat rides on that plot of land)
Buy or Sell: Disney sees the success of thrill coasters at Universal and builds a new park with intense themed coasters
California Adventure 3.0: now with more Six Flags
Highly doubt it, Universal is seen by the people as the more adult park, and Disney as the kid's park, they might invest in more family type coasters, but anything past incredicoaster's intensity is doubtful.
Buy: actually seems like a good choice for a 5th gate at Orlando & give a more general theming and allow EPCOT & possibility Hollywood studios to return to some of their original theming. Especially in a post-bob's leadership era that is more ambitious.
I would sell this. Disney doesn’t really respond to competition, and they don’t try to emulate others successes. If that was the case, Disney would have had a hyper and giga by now.

Given the mess Bob Chapek put the parks in prior to 2022 and now that Universal is stealing guests away from DisneyWorld with well-themed thrill rides and a new park, Bob Igor is probably looking at the competition next door and is considering taking a page out of Universal's playbook.

Definitely selling this. Islands of Adventure went from being somewhat mediocre to being a top tier park with Hagrids and Velocicoaster, along with Incredible Hulk, and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Admittedly the Marvel Superhero Island may fall to the wayside and a new experience replaces it, perhaps a retheming of the Hulk coaster happens, but as long as The Wizarding World Hogsmeade is at Islands of Adventure, I’d find it pretty hard to believe that Epic Universe would replace Islands or Universal Studios Florida in popularity. It will definitely draw people in, but not at the expense of both existing parks.
I’m not trying to get all that political with this statement, but I’m just giving my two cents.
I hate to say this, but CA’s (and especially the Bay Area’s) cost of living makes it no surprise that CGA is going. I do feel as though the mayor could have done a lot more to help the park out earlier (for example, tax breaks, which were a godsend to Carowinds), which is why LA is home to many theme parks despite its high cost as well. I hope she tries to incentivize them to come back instead of forcing them to, as that would put all of CF in trouble, not just one park.
Great Adventure makes a strong case for being a top 3 lineup. When you have the world's tallest & second fastest coaster, arguably the world's best wooden coaster, a custom RMC Raptor and 5 B&Ms you have to be in the conversation.
As someone who has Great Adventure at his home park...not even close. Toro slaps when it isn't down for half the year, Ka is good for what it is, and while I think JD has improved since it first opened, it's still just decent at best. Other than that, 2 of the 5 B&Ms are worth caring about (if you're wondering which, it's Nitro and the Batclone), and the rest of the lineup is filler. Maybe you could make that case 10-15 years ago when Scream Machine and Rolling Thunder were still at the park...but not now.

@@wazzupyoshi I really liked Bizarro/Medusa and Superman UF is pretty good. Even The Dark Knight wild mouse is pretty good. Skull Mtn isn't bad either. Every park with that many coasters has some filler.

Buy or Sell: Cedar Point will announce a new coaster in Corkscrew or Gemini's place after Dragster re-opens
I will laugh if this new dragster will be cedar points only new coaster addition for awhile
@idkwhattoputhere Yeah, say what you will about old Arrows, but their mine train coasters (which Gemini basically is a monster version of) seem to have a lot of longevity.

Buy or Sell: If Pipeline is successful, we'll start seeing more stand-up coasters that are actually good.

Buy or Sell: If Cedar Fair and RMC's relationship gets fixed, they will RMC the smaller parks wooden coasters like Timber Wolf, High Roller, or Thunderhawk
Buy or sell: Knott's will one day replace Bigfoot River Rapids with a rodeo-themed RMC Raptor

As for CGA, wonder if there's any way Santa Clara can split the zoning of the site so the north area is for theme parks / entertainment and the south side is for housing. If the northwest part of the dry park could be converted to a FEC centered around Gold Striker, South Bay Shores could be spun off as a stand-alone water park, and the northeast side (Flight Deck) of CGA could be redeveloped for restaurants/retail/live entertainment, then that still leaves a lot of space for apartments & condos. That's everything from Grizzly to Railblazer and Planet Snoopy.

Buy or Sell: Indiana Beach will announce a RMC or Titan track for one of their woodies by 2025.
If they do, it'll probably be Hoosier Hurricane. That's the one that would likely benefit the most from it.
Buy or Sell: El Toro is sold and moved to another park, specifically a Cedar Fair park like Carowinds (where it can actually be maintained properly and kept running).

I'd say Hershey Park is tied with Kings Island for #3. I look at both parks equally, and they succeed in different areas. Still a bit behind SFMM and CF, but close enough to see them in the distance. Which is how I also view KI

If Cedar Fair works with Vekoma on a project its going to Kings Island or Kings Dominion
I wouldn’t mind a new vekoma at my home park of KI, but what we really need is a standout world-class coaster.
Buy or sell: If pipeline is successful parks will convert current standups to new pipline trains. If Pipeline fails it will get new sitdown trains.
Buy or Sell: intamin vertical launches will be used on the reimagined TTD
There’s a few trackless rides around Europe at parks like, Walibi Holland, Efteling, Legendia and a few more.
I'm looking in my crystal ball and Busch Gardens California returns with a twist it's now located in Santa Clara. Oh yeah and Judge is playing in a Giants uniform!

I hope Georgia Scorcher gets converted. Or better yet, sell it outright and get a brand new B&M dive coaster. That plot of land is over 700ft long, and there's a little bit of extra room between it and Mind Bender.
BUY OR SELL: Vekoma will start replacing SLC’s with their new STC’s, and replace Boomerangs with their new launched family mine trains. Or a combination of both like at Tipsdrill and TaytoPark.

A crazy idea, and I kinda like the concept, but I wouldn’t bet on it. I think if Kings Island closes The Bat after 2023, you might see a Son/Grandson of Beast RMC Giga in that Adventure Port retheme of Action Zone.

Buy. There hasn’t been a hydraulic launch coaster since Formula Rossa in 2010.
Buy or sell: Kings dominion will get the volcano replacement for there 50th anniversary.
Buy or Sell 1: Volcano and Vortex are both replaced with launch coasters, with Vortex's replacement being a MACK Rides LSM Launch coaster, and Volcano's being a launched B&M Wing.
Buy or Sell 2: Following Top Thrill Dragster's reimagining, other Intamin Accelerators, such as Kingda Ka, Stormrunner, Xcelerator, etc, will eventually undergo the same treatment within the next few years.
Buy or sell: in the next 10 years Maurer rides will not be the only manufacturer to come up with coasters on cruise ships

I’d like this, especially if it was Intamin. We need elite. I think they could provide that, as long as 1) CF starts working with them again and 2) they actually give as an elite coaster and don’t screw us over again.

Since Hershey is the closest to me, my son and i plan on season passes this coming season. I’ve ridden Steel Vengeance and Iron Gwazi, can’t wait to ride the new Wildcat;, I put Hershey into the top individually owned corporation and how they continue to innovate with the little bit of land they have.
Buy or sell: Mach/Vekoma will get the call to build a giga before RMC due to their track records of reliable rides

Michigan's adventure removes Corkscrew before cedar point and gets another coaster in 10 years
My question is, if Cedar Fair decides to work with RMC or Intamin again, where will they put the next coaster? Do they go big with a ride at Cedar Point, Kings Island, or Canada's Wonderland? Or do they start at one of the smaller less visited parks like Valleyfair or Dorney Park (WoF would be in here but their coaster clock is definitively reset by Zambezi Zinger)? Because really the only smaller ride from either of those manufacturers is the Hot Racer (based solely on the one in existence). I could see the next coaster at Kings Island being a custom single rail, but that is about it.
Also depending on Dragster's issue, I don't think Wild Mouse resets Cedar Point's coaster clock, because it's Cedar Point.
I don't see a single rail as the next coaster at KI. Too low capacity. I predict a major coaster that focuses on inversions, maybe with a launch, similar to Copperhead Strike. Or, if Cedar Fair feels the need to add a 4th B&M, a dive coaster.
I could see something like an RMC or maybe something like Velocicoaster at KI. But knowing how Cedar Fair treats us, we’ll get something dumb like another b&m.

@@TheSonicsean That did come off bitter. What I mean to say is id be ok with something that breaks at times if it meant we got a Cedar Point worthy coaster. Nothing at all against what we have now, it’s just a hole in our collection. And besides, Intamin has gotten way more reliable than they were and RMC is still a solid choice.
