Very helpful thanks. Maybe next step video could be making a chat window pop up on bottom right of website that could be customer support chatbot and/or provide info on company services/products, etc.

Hey I followed your steps and put in my API key and it said "Error fetching models.
Make sure your OpenAI API key is set in the bottom left of the sidebar.
If you completed this step, OpenAI may be experiencing issues." I have not found a way to add my API key in the bottom left only see the google API option. Are these instructions out dated or am I doing something wrong?
It just says internal server error when you send a message to the bot. What happened?
Why would someone want to pay for API hits when people can just go to chatgpt and ask questions directly? Is the point to monitize it? Also, does the API limit GPT-4 like it does on the chatGPT?
It allows businesses to integrate GPT into their own products and services instead of using the OpenAI UI which many businesses are willing to pay for. There’s currently an ~8,000 token limit per prompt on GPT-4

Hmm, I just tried this one but whenever I try to prompt even with default values there this small popup that doesn't have any message but with just a X icon at the top and no prompt is returned.
I believe this is because you need to add your openai key to the environment variables of the application.

I got a question though, is it actually GPT-4 or you must have access to its limited beta in order to make it work as gpt-4? i'm starting to play with the APIs and only got access until gpt 3.5 turbo.. aldeady on the waitlist for gpt-4 though :D
Thank you very much! Good question yes GPT-4 API access is required to use your own bot with GPT-4. Currently You can use the starmorph hosted version with gpt-4 without an api key

I am paying Gpt-4 now but once I make this, is this means that I don't have to pay $20 or do I still need my GPT-4 ($20) to get my API key???
I will make it anyway cuz I'll need one for my future business plan but it would be nice if I can save some expenses haha
The GPT-4 API key is separate, you don't have to pay for it, but you need to be accepted into the waitlist by OpenAI. You could use this bot with GPT-3.5 which has open API key access

What would be the steps to make this deployment but containing my own product data in the language model?
One way would be to use the openai API to fine tune your own model then use your newly created model as the model in this bot instead of the stock GPT-4 or 3.5-turbo

There is probably another repo that is more simple code and more appropriate for putting directly into a webpage - this repo has a good amount of code to squish in
Can you just switch the model to gpt 4 from 3.5 , i saw that it said 3.5 when you made the new chatbot

@@SonsOfMars. in order to use GPT-4 you need to have GPT-4 API access, which you can apply for free. Or you can use a hosted version of a bot that is powered by GPT-4 such as gpt4.starmorph.com
I entered the API key from my account where there is also GPT-4 but it doesn't show it as an option in the created website, I can only see the 3.5

Having the same problem
You have to have GPT-4 API access, not just ChatGPT Plus

if you have the API access and this is still happening, you could try putting a GPT-4 API key in the UI on the bottom left under OPENAI API key and see if that works better than setting the environment variable

you could implement a user auth service like NextAuth or Supabase Auth
