Elon arguing about finite resources and not Climate Change in his Trump interview and still being hung up on Unions despite Optimus, Robo-Taxi and Grok AI on the horizon, does not instill confidence in TSLA - and so i had to sell.
Being all in on these new Republican values and either not speaking up or having changed his mind means him being vulnerable to the application of these values in Optimus and Grok, diminishing the base of customers willing to use them in their private environment.

I personally know a globally recognized climatologist. He was part of the two man team that put up the first global climate tracking satellite network in place. He can easily explain in about 5 minutes why he doesn’t believe man is currently effecting climate. He goes on to prove that we do not currently have the technology to prove this one way or the other. Two questions have never been answered. Why “global warming” changed to “climate change”? If the science definitively proved one thing why is it now something else? And if breaking global temp records from 100 years ago proves we are causing climate change then why were those records set before the Industrial Revolution?
All that being said, smoke from any source is not helping any environment so if we can move away from burning a finite resource we probably should. Which is why my lawncare equipment is electric and mostly solar charged. My golf cart is solar electric. My motorcycle is electric. And if money was no object I would have a Cybertruck, a Model Y, a Model 3 and a Grand Wagoneer with enough solar and battery backup to operate completely off the grid. As it sets I’m working on buying my first Tesla. Likely a used Model Y.
Most importantly I love your channel, respect your opinion and agree that Elon’s being more vocal about politics could hurt Tesla sales. Typically, Tesla's stock movements day-to-day will at least double the significant movements in the NASDAQ, so a 1.5% increase in the NASDAQ (like today's) will correspond to at least a 3% increase in $TSLA. I still own stock, but its a long bet and mostly based on their energy products. Musk controls the board, so they aren't going to remove him as CEO. The SEC is broken because they tried to ban musk from being CEO over a meaningless tweet, but are ignoring a lawsuit where a judge pulled back the biggest compensation package ever given to anyone due to the board being yes men for musk and not representing shareholders.
As long as musk is CEO and he wants to push anti-american politics, tesla vehicle sales will suffer. The b2b stuff will be fine.
The best guess I have is that musk thinks he can let the auto side of the company shrink and milk superchargers as other companies adopt tesla plugs. But the reality is, musk seems to be raiding tesla resources to boost twitter. A shareholder suit was filed in june over this. Tesla will survive/thrive on the demand for energy products, despite musk's horrible management.

Tesla is the most American built car you can buy in the US. With the idea of trying to keep as much of my money going to US jobs I bought Tesla. My Power comes from US coal, US workers, My electricity is pretty cheap .12 cents a KW comes from a local coal fired power plant. So I know where my power comes from, US workers.
The next reason was the savings on maintenance. The fraud in the Automotive industry huge, I have come not to trust any dealership, and most repair shops.

And we both love it now the only issue I have is I have a Tacoma and Toyota really lost their value here recently with all their mechanical problems so I’ve been trying to find something that could tow 5500 pounds and a hitch weight over 500 pounds. I wish the model Y can do that. Also saw at Tsportline that they offer lift kits for the model Y different tires sizes for more aggressive tread. Specially, down here in Florida where we get hurricanes in the water washes out roads and that way I have a little bit of a higher lift on a model Y be able to go around them much easier.

Model Y was an overpriced car when we bought in year 2022. The car had no spared tire, ruined the wedding event invitation on the way. The tires had to be changed roughly 21,000 to 22,000 miles, $1400 to $1600 for four tires, very expensive. The battery charged had dropped 10% on first year, dropped more on the second year. No more Tesla for us.

In my daily commute, the speed limits are often marked or interpreted incorrectly. Also our Model Y routinely whacks passengers in the head with the Falcon-wing doors, and is quite inconsistent with choosing how far to open the doors in our garage. If they can't program the little things at slow speed, I'm not putting my life in their programmers' hands. We love the acceleration and fuel savings, though.
