Hey man, I've noticed you've been struggling to find the bucket in the equipment menus, to pick the bucket up immediately, press B, you can also do the same with other items by pressing numbers from 3-0, there's also a thing where you can dash really far using the sword, you have to hold right click to block, and keep holding it and then hold left click to charge up a sword dash, while still holding right click, and then once you start dashing, you jump while holding right click and once you're in the air you can let go of both right click and left click.
Few tips from an experienced player: -Angle your sails. When going with the wind have the sails follow the wind and billow out and make a little sound. When going against the wind directly, have the sails face directly into the wind. When the wind is going across your ship, also have the sails follow its direction and you should hear them catch the wind. -Raise sails before hitting an island and DON'T ANCOR! When you use this you can use the harpoon for fine adjustments like getting closer to docks and you can get under way a lot more quickly by just lowering the sails. This is especially good for being ready to escape unfriendly pirates. -If you want to be a true sword lord, learn the best lunge strat which is to first block, then lunge. You can move more freely if you do this and jump right after you lunge to go extra far. -For sea forts, park your ship next to the big gate leading to the little man made lagoon inside the bottom floor. You can lower this gate and then use the other pulleys which control an elevator-thingy to get your loot right next to the ship. -Around 16:30 you mention the Reaper 5 coming right towards you. Reaper 5's are able to see emissary ships on the map, no matter their target's grade. They saw your ship's outline at the fort and decided to force you to donate your loot to them. -Don't worry too much about bucketing small amounts of water, especially during storms. -Put your loot on the bow spread (the very very front of the ship, the beam thing or the area right before it) in order to sell it much faster. You can just plop it right off the side of the boat and then walk it to the sell points. -Turn off your mic unless you're actively communicating in game. Hot mic'ing makes it a lot easier for crews to sink you -Don't be afraid to reroll voyages. For example, don't waste your time with the one-captain Order of Soul voyages, just buy a bunch and reroll until you get multiple captains at one island to maximize profit and reputation gain. -Each ship has their own best way to go to outrun the others regarding the wind. The sloop is the fastest ship going into the wind with sails properly angled, the galleon is fastest going with the wind, and the brig is fastest going wind sideways. Just note that the sloop's max speed is going with the wind, just it's the fastest of all the ships going against it and the same with the other two types of ships. -About once a month you can buy a level with doubloons from Larina in front of the tavern. Say if you get level 49 in gold hoarders and needed another one to get level 50. -Grinding sea forts and merm shrines is also a great way to get Order of Souls and Merchant levels at the same time. There's a great loop at the bottom left of the map that has you go to a bunch of fortresses and shrines for tons of rep. I recommend doing commodity runs using www.merfolkslullaby.com to see the best trade routes for merchant grinding. Good luck getting pirate legend and beyond!
MASSIVE respect for saying no double XP weekend, like other RUclipss who advertise “getting to pirate legend in 9 hours!!” - while getting double xp, so it’s discouraging for most as it’s more rewarding to see the numbers go up fazter

One of my goals with getting PL was to do so while also learning the ins and outs of the game, and while I was actively workings towards PL I wouldn’t say I was in a rush to get it, so waiting for a double XP weekend/community weekend would’ve been too boring since they’re so few and far between (and if I’m honest, it feels kind of cheaty)
when stacking sea forts there are two forts right at the bottom really close to plunder outpost where you can go between them and one resets by the time youve completed the other one. great content btw you definetly deserve more subs :D
for fast merchant, do sunken ship voyages and make sure you get the key to the captain's room as it's loaded with merchant loot, just one voyage instantly levels a merchant flag to grade 5.
When doing Sea Forts I would say to bring a storage crate along (can be bought from merchant or found on islands) and use it to quickly grab all of the supplies in the barrels at the fort. Also try to buy the best ranks in the different trading companies whenever you can because the better your rank the better the voyages.

Oof I feel that. While I was getting Pirate Legend I ended up also getting Glitterbeards beard, and then after I got PL I went and did all the original tall tales. I’ve still got Pirates Life and Monkey Island to do, but I feel like outside of that I’ve basically done everything.

You should try and do some World events unlike the fleet, such as Fort of Fortune (FoF), Fort of the damned (FOTD), or the Ashen winds event (AW). The ashen winds event you can do alone, but if you wanna do the FOF or FOTD you need a crew of 2 or more. I don’t wanna spoil any more. Again, I hope you continue uploading. You earned a sub!

For the ghost fortress. Par in front near stairs in and fire cannon ball at the top edge of the wall when ghost are nearby. Defeats the fortress without leaving the ship

The best way the level up the merchant is to do commodity runs. The best way is to go around the map in a circle, going to outposts and going to forts between them to increase your emissary rank.

Quick tip: when you were discussing on what to do about the reaper 5 on the map you said they might catch up to you, unless they were on a brig like you they would be a lot slower as the brig is the fastest ship
I have 15 captained boats (For an achievement), and I gave every set of 3 I got a themed set of names/cosmetics. My initial set was the Billy boat, the Brig boat and the Big boat, Everything after that I pledged to my guild. The first set for our guild, the Gold Diggers, were named after myself, the Famed Captain Golden Balls, with the Gold coin, Gold Diggers Party, and the Golden Hoard. After that I got a more reaper themed set with the One Man Army, the Small Militia and the Golden Warship. The next set I just named after being idiots, with the Drunken Mates, the FratBoys club and the Dead Mans Frathouse, and the Last boat I plan on buying was a galleon named the Cartel. ... I don't really know why I did all that, in all honesty. Our guild never really has more than 2-3 boats out at a time, and most of everyone else had their own boat in it. I guess I had nothing better to do with the gold we were making, and it was one of the 10 rarest achievement's in the game. I just figured why not.
You can bind specific items go specific keys. I play controller and I press A to instantly pull out food in a pinch. It's also probably quicker to use the wheel to pull out stuff like wood as opposed to the inventory.
Yeah I gotta get better at accessing / using all the inventory screens and whatnot. Remembering keybinds is my main issue at the moment 💀 but I’m getting there!
I’ve been playing this game on and off since day one and I’m still not a pirate legend. Still remember how hype it was when the first person got it after about 2 weeks of the game being out
just want to ask if you want some help from a more experienced or other players. i personally want to find a funny crew and you guys seem nice. @@CaptainRolfey I fully understand what you mean. For the viewer stuff is there a discord or a twitch. If not it could be a great way to get new viewers and talk to them. Also you can get clips from the stream vod and use them for youtube shorts or content for youtube. This is only a idea and it takes a while to set up so i understand if you do not do it now but you should consider it at some point.
Forgot to tell... there is more after Pirate Legends. Some really cool voyages and its possible to do them if a pirate legend votes on the voyage table to start one the rest can without being a pirate legend. Im telling this because there is some really cool stuff ;)
Hitting PL is a pretty difficult achievement for new players, good job on making such good progress. If I knew you i'd love to do a veil with you once you hit PL, but since I don't know you, I'll have to be content with waiting for you to post your first Veil. Great video and I hope to see more.

It's not as efficient, but grinding OoS by chasing skelly ships and doing the fleet is more satisfying. And you guys looks like you can take two galleons while scooping loot, a very fun task^^ Just supply accordingly, my heart is stopping each time you open your barrels :o
Yeah we suck at keeping our barrels and crates full of supplies and it is constantly our downfall 💀 And I’m much more for fun over efficiency so chasing skelly ships doesn’t sound that bad to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The other thing that would make this hard for me to become pirate legend (which I’m close to) is that I have no friends to play with! I’m on xbox and none of my friends have xbox only PlayStation. But also I’ve played this game for awhile, threw 2019 I started then I quit after that from boardom and then went back on in 2022 had fun for awhile then quit again 😅 but now this time I will get there but I just wish to have friends with! 🤣😔 anyways loved your video man! ❤
another good way for gold hoarderis to get level five sell grab the level five quest vote down and raise flag again then do emmisary voyage you will get level five then rinse and repeat
@@CaptainRolfey For Order of Souls, I actually just recommend doing world events/shrines/treasuries/skeleton ships. The OoS voyages are... boring (though I do recommend trying out the Ghost Ship Fleet voyage), and you can get a lot of skulls anyway from other sources.
My friend Matt discovered this not long after we recorded all this and that’s the method I used to get to rep 50 with the Order of Souls. It’s kinda tedious but I enjoyed it a lot more than doing Devil’s Roar bounties 😒

You can bind specific items go specific keys. I play controller and I press A to instantly pull out food in a pinch. It's also probably quicker to use the wheel to pull out stuff like wood as opposed to the inventory.
Yeah I gotta get better at accessing / using all the inventory screens and whatnot. Remembering keybinds is my main issue at the moment 💀 but I’m getting there!
I’ve been playing this game on and off since day one and I’m still not a pirate legend. Still remember how hype it was when the first person got it after about 2 weeks of the game being out

The ghost fortresses reset every 7 minutes so if you were willing to risk waiting in the ferry you could get two somewhat quickly
Huh, that's actually a neat trick. If I ever need to grind fortresses again I might try this out
Tip with the kraken, you can shoot the tentacles with your cannons to end the encounter once you kill enough of them

@@CaptainRolfey I fully understand what you mean. For the viewer stuff is there a discord or a twitch. If not it could be a great way to get new viewers and talk to them. Also you can get clips from the stream vod and use them for youtube shorts or content for youtube. This is only a idea and it takes a while to set up so i understand if you do not do it now but you should consider it at some point.
Forgot to tell... there is more after Pirate Legends. Some really cool voyages and its possible to do them if a pirate legend votes on the voyage table to start one the rest can without being a pirate legend. Im telling this because there is some really cool stuff ;)
Hitting PL is a pretty difficult achievement for new players, good job on making such good progress. If I knew you i'd love to do a veil with you once you hit PL, but since I don't know you, I'll have to be content with waiting for you to post your first Veil. Great video and I hope to see more.

It's not as efficient, but grinding OoS by chasing skelly ships and doing the fleet is more satisfying. And you guys looks like you can take two galleons while scooping loot, a very fun task^^ Just supply accordingly, my heart is stopping each time you open your barrels :o

The other thing that would make this hard for me to become pirate legend (which I’m close to) is that I have no friends to play with! I’m on xbox and none of my friends have xbox only PlayStation. But also I’ve played this game for awhile, threw 2019 I started then I quit after that from boardom and then went back on in 2022 had fun for awhile then quit again 😅 but now this time I will get there but I just wish to have friends with! 🤣😔 anyways loved your video man! ❤

@@CaptainRolfey For Order of Souls, I actually just recommend doing world events/shrines/treasuries/skeleton ships. The OoS voyages are... boring (though I do recommend trying out the Ghost Ship Fleet voyage), and you can get a lot of skulls anyway from other sources.

My friend Matt discovered this not long after we recorded all this and that’s the method I used to get to rep 50 with the Order of Souls. It’s kinda tedious but I enjoyed it a lot more than doing Devil’s Roar bounties 😒
