Great interview, so glad Steve emphasized the importance of Alex when playing Eds music, change the drummer and the groove takes on a different wave of interpretation, thanks for all the good vibes y’all!!
"Edward". ❤ Such love and admiration for EVH. I've been a Steve Vai fan for a very long time and Inviolate is a great album. He's one of the people I'd love to meet and chat with one day.
Humble and genius in his own right. God bless Steve Vai . ED All VH, Diamond love ya... Now Wolfgang... His dad was so anxious and proud for his album.. Wolfgang is Eds son but his own Sound. What a blessing. All... Love Sammy.
I love the fact that he didn't even brush his hair he went straight to work ! That's honestly and no vanity ! When you're as good as he is .. you don't have to Fake Shit !
NOOO!!! At the end of the video. Steve. Please stick to just playing the guitar!! Leave the vocals to others. All CD's that had you singing In the 90's I tossed out the window...
Dude the guy is a guitar genius , even Joe Satch couldn't believe this guy's ability ! He has got to be the most in control of the guitar .. player I have ever seen !so he's not Paul Rodgers .. and he knows that ! But he's earned the right to sing a little on his own recordings u know !
@@seanentrikin9263 I didn't literally toss those disc's out. Maybe just hit the Skip/FF button pretty often on his vocal track tunes. Been a Vai fan since Roth then P&W came out! Even got to see the Sex & Religion tour with Devin on vocals. Tiny bar to boot.. Hence my avatar of the pick I was lucky to catch on that tour as well.
His hair is a complete mess LOL Joke aside i love Vai but sometimes he tends to talk TOO MUCH about irrelevant stuff like a guitar design (e.g.) or his pedals & cable's configuration, order..and sh*, and in this case he gives barely 10 minutes to the interviewer (from almost half an hour))!) to talk about his new album. C'mon! Give me a break!
I could listen and talk to Steve for hours.

I love the respect and awe that Vai has for EVH.
Vai is a class act. Love his music & his playing
He smoked Macchio in Crossroads!!
Macchio can lift a leg, but he can't hit a note.
@@johndrake2729 ................... uh............ suPRIZE...... Machio isn't a guitar player.... His JOB there was to ACT like he was playing....
VH starts at 22:42

can I talk to you guys? I need to interview Steve via
Vai surprisingly couldn't play Eddie Van Halen's guitar parts properly live. Didn't have the same deepth of soul and impact
and in your opinion who can play any other persons material the exact way genius?
Amazing 😲!! The secret to ranking = P R O M O S M!!!
the plandemic was bill gates solo

You missed out on some good stuff, my man.
He's not a good singer agreed. I don't know why, he and Malmsteen keeps insisting.
