To me, Luard is the main reason why I play Shadow Paladin in the first place. I already told my story of how I got into the G-Format because a friend got me the Trial Deck: Kazuma Shouji and I instantly fell in love with.
As a Luard main i loved this video and i found lots of similarity when i considered other cards for my build :) I'm just surprised there is no honoly in your binder, it's so good sometimes, and i cut it just recently, due to Luard being one of the best decks in first stride. When we didn't have morfessa i searched Honoly so many times on my first stride :D
+Rainingblue Honoly isn’t useful in this format for Luard. It just takes up a g1 slot that couldve gone to a card that wins you the game, instead of trying to prevent you from losing the game.
Interesting video man, nice to hear some further in-depth thoughts around your deck. I really like the deck building side of Premium since it has some cool interactions with the older cards. Alfred is a fun power house to mess around with, but I find Ezel to be very enjoyable and Accel 2 is going to make it even more wild to play with :P
Hey Solemn I know it's quite dated already, but how do you think Luard will fare in the current premium meta? Do you think it's still meta viable, given that the new stride is more useable by Claret (barring Zazan ofc, #Zazan2Zero), and that we have Murakumo with Nue Daioh? Also, would really look forward if you have any ideas on how to push Luard forward with the new cards, and perhaps even with the new Dragheart when it's out :)

Been wanting to build Luard until recently when i acquired a luard deck with a lot of spares and one of each of the cards mentioned above. Need some tips since want to take the deck to my locals shop challenge.
What you do with your binder for Luard, is something I do for all my decks (Standard or Premium). In that I have what I call my "toolkit box" containing extra cards that I always consider putting in my decks, and always keep on standby if I want to experiment with something new. Sometimes cards get added, cards get removed but as you can expect that's the fun of it imo. I also recently started a word file where I compare cards with the similar functions/roles and compare their pros and cons. In the case of Luard: I recently started comparing Dark Bond Trumpeter, Naoise, and V Fodla, but there's also me considering V Werewolf Seiger vs. Decadent Succubus for my DI Premium deck.
The best part about premium, you enjoy vanguard without playing the game, because you spend time staring at cards and theory crafting ideas as part of the enjoyment. Standard just can't offer that :P

Like, I'm still looking at Cursled Lancer even now just because it has an on demand counter charge on place from hand, which is surprisingly rare in shadows. Luard is officially biggest brain deck in premium. Second: Please tell me the nemain mat is in cloth.
Luard is fun, I have a deck of it and my only deck but still I don't have Dragsaver Esras and Belial Owl which makes me frustrating because its either very uncommon to sell or costs more than GRs. Also for G units, I also don't have Aurageyser, Ogma and a freaking ultima Thanks to reboot, G era prices went down a little, but also made me stuck in G era cards only. I can't go Premium just by buying the Shadow Paladin V TD if I want to survive entirely. Just sharing
Ichihime Sakegari Honestly you don’t need to run Aurageyser or Ogma nowadays, Ultima while it’s a very powerful card is not your main win con anymore. I don’t have an Ultima and I still have fun playing the deck. Belial is going down so it’s probably gonna be more affordable and while dragsaver esras helps out extending your combos Karma Collector provides some CC so you can combo next turn if your opponent tries to deny you CB. So while you don’t have some of the more expensive cards there’s always gonna be sleeper cards that could help combat the current meta. You don’t have to buy all the expensive stuff to still have fun with the deck
Luard is a totally awesome deck to me Somehow he bring me get 2nd place against so many meta like Ezel ,NLK So ,I very love Luard Luard can play like a wizard always suprise your opponent
I too have been looking into Arianrhod as a way to speed up Ritual 10 and help filter the hand. Liafail is a bit iffy as G2 slots are so tight (plus I don't have foils lol).
