Amazing! Thank you. We loved Royal Barbados for the rooms and I loved the original Barbados resort for the authentic feel! We’ve just got back from La Toc and it was absolutely spellbinding xxx
Thanks so much for the informative video. Best Sandals video I’ve seen! We are heading to Royal Barbados in Feb 2024 and Grenada in Oct 2024. Can’t wait, we have never been to a Sandals before.
Which one is your least favorite personally? I know that this is a highly subjective question, but based on your likes I think your preferences align very highly with mine. BTW, this is the absolute best review of Sandals as a whole that I’ve ever seen. Better than any website I’ve visited as well. This video is now the gold standard of Sandals reviews in my book
Thank you Ryan! Personally, we would say Sandals South Coast. But the room we stayed in is now being remodeled so that is an improvement. And while it wasn't great for us, I know some people love it there.
@@angelheartonline We stayed at South Coast in January and we loved it. It was our first all inclusive resort so maybe we were just star struck. There was a lot of grass in the water which was not awesome but the reef you can go snorkeling and scuba diving at was gorgeous and very large and colorful and full of life. You will have a great time if you havn't already been. Word of advice though, bring your own snorkel and mask with you on the trip. There are pilings and rocky outcrops you can explore without having to buy a mask for $50 from the gift shop because it is not included with the room. And make sure you make a dinner reservation at Shooners the day you get there for a day later in the week. We didnt get to try Schooners because they were booked solid thru our whole trip.
@@angelheartonlinesouth coast is great.. not even close to being at the bottom of any list.. Most have it in the top 5. Really big cool resort.. I do agree that grande st Lucian is the best
My husband and i just returned from Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. Loved, loved it! We would go back in a heartbeat. I want to try another Sandals location and whichever we choose, hopefully, it exceeds our first visit. ❤
We just got back from Sandals Grande St Lucian and we fell in LOVE with it! We booked our next Sandals trip for Grenada after several couples we met on the resort shared Grenada was their #1 and Grande St Lucian was their #2. We'll see how we feel about that order when we go in a few years. Any specific tips or important differences we should expect between the two? Thanks so much for your indepth videos!
Have reservations at sandals south coast, advice? We switched from st.Lucia. La toc, then the grande very expensive, now we are booked Jamaica sandals south coast.
I appreciate this unfiltered video SO much, I have been looking at ads and sites for so long, it just seemed like such an overly extravagant resort for the overly elite and beautiful etc, I felt SO intimidated. This video helped me realize that its just a normal place and not as perfect as the ads
I am looking at the different Sandals locations. The price! The least expensive I am seeing is $1220 for 2 per 27:55 night Looking to celebrate 45th wedding anniversary (but we also want to redo our bathrooms). Does that price sound about right?
I have enjoyed your videos as we are thinking about going to Sandals ourselves soon & your reviews really helped! Sorry to hear from motion sickness as that must be difficult traveling as you do! I'm lucky that it doesn't affect me or my partner at all👍 Thanks again 😊😊

which woukld you say has the best off beach snorkeling? We did Grenada and that was nice but any other suggestions, not excursion but off the site itself.
Love your guys videos, they help a lot. Planning a honeymoon next year, we're leaning mostly Sandal's South Coast but also Royal Barbados, Grenada, and possibly Dunn's river. Would you say the beach and food of South coast to the others on my list? (Waiting on Dunn's River)
Hello, glad we can help. We liked the beach and food better at Royal Barbados and Grenada, but South Coast is more affordable. When you are ready to book, here is a link that will let Sandals know that we were able to help. www.sandals.com/specials/?referral=108782&agentid=DABA6809
How did you feel about Antigua? I have heard it is the best beach aside from the Bahamas. But I have also heard that they are outdated... opinions and advice?
Antigua has a nice beach, but not better than Barbados, Grenada, Grande St Lucian or Bahamas. The thing most people do not like about the beach there is the vendors. It is a bit outdated, which is why it is a good deal if you go there. They will start renovating soon so prices will go up. We have a video about Antigua coming up in a few weeks.
I think you misunderstood, I loved the beach we enjoyed the vendors especially Mammy. It was the rest of the resort we were not impressed with, the food was mediocre, the staff were not as friendly as other Caribbean island locals, entertainment was lacking. But that beach was everything,Dickinson Bay made up for everything that we thought Sandal Grande Antigua lacked. After watching your videos we are now looking at Sandals Montego Bay or Royal Caribbean in Jamaica for our next get away, so thank you guys for such an in depth video and for breaking it down the way you do so we can make a better choice for resort based on personal preferences.
I wonder if you guys would rank the St. Vincents and the Grenadines location. It looks stellar and I think we are going to make that one our next visit.
We are planning our honeymoon for July, and deciding between all the Sandals resorts. We are trying our best to avoid the "rain", looking for hopefully a sunny week. Do you suggest any of the resorts over the others for July in terms of weather?
Great video! We just came back from Royal Caribbean in Jamaica and were not as happy with it as Royal Plantation we stayed in last year. I felt the entertainment was not the same or the activities, they played 80's 90's music all week and barely played any reggae. Which when going to Jamaica I expect to hear around the resort or at least steel drums. We booked our next trip for Grenada, my question to you is, how do you feel the entertainment is there? Im concerned that there is only one resort so if we get bored we are stuck there, unlike Royal Plantation where we had Ochi to go play at as well. Thank you for your help.
Can you recommend a resort that does not require a lot of walking? Going with 2 friends over 50 and we are active, but I have a back injury and find excessive walking is problematic. We mostly will enjoy food and lounging on scenic beaches with a great cocktail.
Grenada would be best because it is flat and easy to walk from one end to the other. Some other great options are Negril, Royal Caribbean, Halcyon, or Curacao.
Grenada is mostly flat but be careful of the location of your room. The rooms at the back of the resort have a STEEP hill. I’m young and fit and dreaded walking up it by the end of the day. I was there with my parents (my mom has back issues) and they didn’t even want to attempt it
@@benettemcneill984 Hiiii June, it was high season and Sandals was booked. We decided on Grenada and stayed at a locally owned hotel, Skyline. Clean, modern, great location, friendly staff. We went to the beach everyday after our daily island tour. The locals were friendly, helpful and we felt safe walking back to our hotel 2 am in the morning.
@@HoneymoonAlwayswas i5 offered through the resort. The transfers in St Lucia were horrible. It actually took 3 hours not 1 1/2 as advertised. The traffic on the island was really bad even when we took excursions.

I want to use your link to purchase a jamaica sandals the first week of June. Nigril or ochio. But I was wondering when you guys went? I'm concerned about the seaweed!! Do you think that would be an issue the first week of june?
I visited Sandals Barbados and it was not great at all. I was extremely disappointed. Food wasn’t great, service was lacking and couldn’t enjoy the beach without multiple local Drug Dealers pushing us to buy drugs. Extremely disappointing
While I was looking into staying at a Sandals resort I was doing some research and apparently if you are arriving by yourself they wont allow it since Sandals is geared towards couples. While I enjoy solo traveling I guess Sandals is a no go.
Great videos! After 7 trips to Jamaica (South Coast & Negril), we are heading to La Toc in a month. How much of a hassle is having to shuttle to the marina to scuba? My wife does not scuba, so I am a little apprehensive about possibly being gone so long. Do you mind letting me know what time you left La Toc to shuttle to the marina and what time you returned? This was so helpful!! Thank you so much, you both are the coolest! On an unrelated and slightly related note Dan, did you get your scuba diving certification at the Sandals resort? We really want to learn scuba diving and were hoping to certified so was wondering how to go about that? We have a week long stay at Sandals La Toc coming up this summer and thought maybe we could do this as well whilst there!
So glad we were helpful! Yes, you can get certified while staying at Sandals. It was around $400 which was cheaper than doing it before coming. You can just go to the scuba shop when you arrive and tell them you want to get certified.
NOW THATS A LIST!!!!!! THANKS! Be honest, how soundproofed are the walls of the rooms though? do you "hear" neighbors? but wow just the list i was looking for! thanks for mentioning the water of the beaches !!! and all the category's too, wow, you thought of everything!
We never heard anything too interesting. I remember sound traveled a bit more in the older buildings, but overall I don’t remember being too bothered. The only thing that bothered us was the late night entertainment at a couple of the resorts if our room was close to the entertainment venues. But we live in Europe so we were much more jet lagged then most Americans.
How did you get to Sandals Curaçao? My preferred airline (Delta) does not have flights into Curaçao. The option is to fly to Aruba and take a regional flight to Curaçao. What did you all do? Thanks for the info.
We live in Atlanta and took American, connecting through Miami. The food was the best above all Sandals in my opinion. We’ve been to a handful. I actually thought the service was really good. But we went a few months after it opened so everyone was from Sandals resorts from different islands. Our butlers were from Jamaica. I cannot say enough good things about them
Sandals Grande Lucian is stellar. We stayed in one of the newer beachfront hex bungalows, but, sadly, there was a couple that was in the over the water bungalows that kept stationing in the front of our room, smoking constantly, and blasting loud music nearly 24 hours a day. Security at the resort did essentially nothing. Smoking and disruptive behavior is not allowed, and people like that should be removed and permabanned if not compliant. I will vouch for the helicopter ride. The ride in the van was FOREVER and the traffic in Castries was backed up for MILES.
My wife and I are torn between Sandals Grand St. Lucian and Sandals Grenada. We are early 30's but not in the party scene anymore. we like to have a few drinks and chill. Would like to hear your thoughts/recommendation on these two.
Love your commentary. I noticed that you didn't mention a lot about Sandals Antigua except for having the best pool. I recently booked it for next month. It was honestly between Antigua and Grenada only because I've never been to either of the islands. Did I make a mistake? Lol
Antigua is great. Really great service and pools. The beach is great but it is a public beach with peddlers. The rooms are a little outdated, which means you get more bang for your buck.
@dawnwheeler2649 I agree we came back from there in Sept, and Antigua really set the bar very high. I'm nervous the others wouldn't compare. Trying Ochi next.
@HoneymoonAlways Came back from there and you all were correct about everything. Had a marvelous time and trying Ochi next so I'll look at that video. Thanks for your commentary.
Looking for a honeymoon for my fiancé and I. Debating between Sandals La Toc St. Lucia and Antigua. Looking for a mix of relaxation and fun, with some privacy. La Toc seems like a great resort, but I’m not sure how to feel about the hills and having to walk them - we are both fit but don’t want to have that be a negative part of our experience. Any insight?
Obviously you guys travel a lot. Do you go to other brands besides Sandals. Wondering how you would compare brands like Couples, Secrets, Excellence to Sandals?? Also when you were in St. Lucia was the boat ride and helicopter ride to and from resort crazy expensive?? Thanks for the great info!!
We did, we really liked it. Really great staff and food. The beach is great but lots of vendors. Loved the pools too. Rooms are a bit out dated, but the price is good and is a good time to go before the renovate and prices go up.
Depends on the island. They are pretty much year round destinations. Sept- Nov is hurricane season, but that only affects a small amount of travelers. And it can be chilly in the Bahamas in the winter. Otherwise, go anytime!

Me and my wife have visited 4 and Antigua is our favorite hands down.
St Lucia is cool too. Sandals grande is fab

Exuma has beautiful water
Obviously you guys travel a lot. Do you go to other brands besides Sandals. Wondering how you would compare brands like Couples, Secrets, Excellence to Sandals?? Also when you were in St. Lucia was the boat ride and helicopter ride to and from resort crazy expensive?? Thanks for the great info!!
We haven’t been to as many non Sandals resorts but one main reason is Sandals has more included like tips, scuba, airport transport.
The boat ride was around $150 per person and the helicopter was around $200 per person if I remember correctly.
Did you all go to Grand Antigua and what were your thoughts?
We did, we really liked it. Really great staff and food. The beach is great but lots of vendors. Loved the pools too. Rooms are a bit out dated, but the price is good and is a good time to go before the renovate and prices go up.
LUCKY YOU .Some Like Me Work 12 hrs a Day Driving a Truck Thats Work ?
Thank you! Enjoy your drive!
Have you ever been to SANDALS
SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES??
Not yet, I think it opens next week. We want to go in May.
What is the best month to go to these resorts?
Depends on the island. They are pretty much year round destinations. Sept- Nov is hurricane season, but that only affects a small amount of travelers. And it can be chilly in the Bahamas in the winter. Otherwise, go anytime!
Do you all still have your beautiful apartment in Portugal or are you fulltime travelers?
Still in Portugal, RUclips just makes it seem we are always traveling.
