Swatching inks with the back of a glass pen is GENIUS! Doesn't waste too much ink like cotton swabs but broad enough to show off the ink fully, don't know why that method isn't more popular
Nice to see more Filipino women on RUclips! I recently purchased two of the Taisho Roman Haikara inks, the Antique Black and the Modern Red, and I love them. I am definitely going to purchase more from that line.
These are my favorite type of videos to watch! I ended up getting a Kaweco Student at a local stationery store after seeing yours a few times. I got mine in a M nib but have noticed hard starts even with a Sailor ink in it. Have you had any issues with skipping or hard starts before? Love all your ink choices! Thanks Abbey for a great video!
Thanks Brittany! :) Kaweco does have a reputation of being inconsistent with their nibs, so best to try cleaning it up? Or getting a different nib? You can replace them! I use Kaweco Ms and the inks work fine.
I love all of your selections! Just looked up each ink except Diamine Autumn Oak because I'm loving the Ancient Copper by Diamine which is in my Pilot 823 always.
I always check your ink collection videos, it is like a guide to me, you pick up great shades! And then I really appreciate/envy how minimal you are with the fountain pens, you know exactly what you like and want, now and long-term! Amazing. I am debating for an MF Sailor pro gear for a long time, and I wanted to ask you how would you describe your writing experience with your Sailor MF, especially after many months of using it. Did you get annoyed by the feedback, was it a great feedback feeling, did you grow to like the pen or liked it from the beginning? Generally, thank you Abbey, for your videos, content and honesty of it.
I love the MF! No feedback for me. Just make sure to use a wet ink like Pilot / Sailor / Kobe. I personally just use MF for Sailor, nothing else. I find F too fine and scratchy. Thanks so much!!
Thank you so so much for this video!! I’m a total newbie on fountain pens and inks & i’ve done a ton of research the last couple of weeks & got my first fountain pen: a Lamy Safari in Terra Red with some black ink cartridges ☺️ I also got the converter & I can’t wait to try out some different inks! But oh wow - that’s a jungle to say the least 😂 I’m trying not to buy a lot since it’s Christmas soon, but I think i’ll buy just a few from Diamine to try out 🙈 And almost my whole wish list for Christmas is fountain pen stuff 🙈😅
Happy fountain pen day, everyone! I was ink-abled (is this a word?) to buying a sample of Benitsuchi (and Sabimidori, I have a thing for blue ink right now) and I can't wait for them. Thing is, the real one that caught my eye here is Opera Rose....I don't think anyone in here in the PH sells a sample of *that* ink. (If a sample comes within our way soon....that'd be cool) 😭 I really, really enjoyed this video, Abbey! 🖋
Hi Abbey, thanks for the inspiring and informative video. I love your color palette! 💛🧡 I have some questions if you don't mind. What converter do you use for kaweco student and how heavy is it compared to the usual kaweco sport? Love the feel of kaweco sport but I'm looking for something heavier/more solid on the hand. Also what do you use to store all your ink samples? Thanks so much! 💗 looking forward to your videos as always!
Hi April! Sure! 1. Converter - Kaweco standard converter, it looks similar to LAMY or Sailor converters 2. Weight of Student - it's relatively heavier, I checked the weight and it's around 25.3g but I like the feel of it! It does feel heavier / more solid on the hand, I feel. 3. The vials? I get them from shopee in the Philippines but you can just search ink vials or something and it'll turn up! I think it's actually used in labs or science departments actually haha You're welcome :) Thanks for watching!
@@aprilchan1039 Yay! I have a stand that I got from whoodph, I think Goulet Pens has an acrylic one. it's just easier to store that way, otherwise I used to use an IKEA compartment one:)
i love all your favorites! I now need the Diamine Autumn Oak ink because I really really love Oxblood by Diamine which is in my Platinum Preppy, and also thinking about getting a Lamy for christmas
Yaay thanks Brittany! I also suggest Honey Burst, those are the two Diamines I love. Although I think I've been sleeping on Oxblood, I heard it's THE favorite!
@@AbbeySy Yes, thank you! Then I will try to save up just that bit more. I like the look of it better too. You totally enabled me, but I want to thank you for it. Maybe later I will add a Sailor mini in the mustard color! ;)
HI COUS! Love all you favourites! Defs need to try Taccia and Teranishi inks! They looks so lovely and autumnal! 🍁
YES PLS so you can be INKabled hahaha
Fountain pens are a great medium to work with. We all appreciate Abbey Sy for all the content she’s been giving us.
Yay! thank you!

Yeah I didn't like the idea of using up cotton swabs! Randomly thought of using the back of the glass dip pen and it works :) Underrated method indeed
I am also obsessed with fountain pens and fountain pen inks. I just discovered Ferris Wheel Press and can't wait to buy every bottle. Lol
Hahahah!
Great to see how happy you are with your favorite fountain pens and inks.
Thank you so much!

Cool! Taisho Roman inks are great. The packaging is lovely too.

Thanks Abbey! I may need to get a replacement for it. 🙂 That is the one downside to fountain pens at times!
@@brittanyfreeman9101 Yeah for sure huhu! My Kaweco nib is also bad now, I dropped my pen :( We have to be more careful next time then!
yayyy love this video thank you for showing us your faves!! and yay for the collab with Job :)
Awww yay thank youuu Amy
Great video I Ilove all the pens inks and accessories! Thanks for explaining everything! I think the sailor was my fav! Happy New Year!
You’re welcome!! Yay!
I love all of your selections! Just looked up each ink except Diamine Autumn Oak because I'm loving the Ancient Copper by Diamine which is in my Pilot 823 always.
Thank you! Ah yes Ancient Copper is so popular, we actually compared it with Taccia Benitsuchi and it's a bit close (but also not quite). :)
Your color palette is so pretty.
Thanks!

What is the yellow ink that you have searched by Roher and Klinger? I can’t read the name. Thank you.
R&K Helianthus.

Do you have a video on how to use converters? If not, can you please make one? Thanks ^u^
Ohhh not yet! But you can watch Goulet Pens or JetPens, they do mostly fountain pen tutorial videos
