Love all the voices, but also have to give a shoutout to the unsung hero, Nathan. Such a master at providing energetic yet clean and somewhat understated piano accompaniment. Just love his choice of chord voicings and runs. Drives the song while leaving lots of space for the voices to shine!
Yes, Nathan is a master! Thanks Jon!
Great job! Y'all blend so well. I was actually a part of the virtual choir Kelly Clarkson used when she performed this at the BMAs this year so this song now has a special place in my heart.

Hooray Birger! Thank you!
Ok Evynne, I didn’t know you were capable of that kind of raspy singing. Go ahead girl!
Fun to do that sometimes!
There’s a music that you should sing mrs Hollens. That one is called “My love will never die” from Lucifer. (The author is Claire Whyndham).
Thanks for the request Thomaz!
@@EvynneHollens you’re welcome 👍
Definitely was 'Pitch perfect'. Lovely choice
Thank you Andy!
Lady Antebellum - "On This Winter's Night" (Cover)
Thanks for the request! I appreciate it!
Didn't you know it's Lady A now, cuz apparently Antebellum is racist?🙄
“We love because he first loved us” (1 John 4:19). There is a higher love, but that love does not come from within unless it first comes from without. Rather, “God is love” (1 John 4:8); and, “In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). Who is the Son of God and what does it mean that he was the propitiation?
- John’s Gospel tells us in the first chapter, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God ... And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:1,14). The Son of God is Jesus and he proclaims, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end” (Revelation 22:13).
- So then, what does it mean that he is the propitiation?
- We have sinned; lacked love for one another; and worse, lacked love for the One who made us. We have acted wickedly before his eyes. God is love, but he is also righteous and just. Justice must be met. It is rightly said of the one who remains in wickedness, “the wrath of God remains on him” (John 3:36). So how can anyone escape if justice cannot be overlooked forever? If we have all sinned, done wrong, we are condemned already, are we not?
- Yet, “God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). “He was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace; and with his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus was beaten and killed on a cross in our stead, so that we could be pardoned. “Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood ... This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus” (Romans 3:25-26).
- This is what it means that he was the propitiation. That he died in our stead so that we might live. Yet more than that, Jesus rose from the grave, destroying death. Those who submit to Jesus as Lord, believe in him, put their faith not in their own righteousness but in Jesus death on their behalf will be saved. However, most people do not read past John 3:16. “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God” (John 3:18).
- Will you awake to God’s just wrath or to God’s loving mercy? “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). Surrender to him and his ways. Your works cannot save you, but if you believe in him, you will be saved by his merit alone. Death could not defeat him. You cannot either. Surrender to the loving and righteous and merciful Lord and be saved.
