I saw you sing this with Lalah Hathaway. It was beautiful, this is also. We miss you, just seeing you, validates, no body does it better

This man is one of the best. I'm from New Orleans and the first time I saw him was at the Warehouse and I was hooked. Took my boyfriend, my sisters, my friends, all at different times, but each time , they all became fans. I myself saw him 6 times the last at the Jazz and Heritage Festival and he still sounded wonderful. RIP Mr Jarreau you're missed but your music lives on😥😍

I saw him a few weeks, before he passed away, in Frankfurt Germany the last time. It was still more live and fun in this concert than modern music has in it. An old guy who just had fun and loved what he was doing till to the end. Excuse me my english..i dont know if its right in grammar etc. 🙃 Learning by doing😂

Warren Moon and I had front-row seats. Yeah. I was Rich back then. .... But Al was the headliner... OMG - I went alone to enjoy it.

I have all of his albums. Al Jarreau is truly missed by me because I loved the things that he could with his vocals and a true entertainer. Much Love Al Jarreau until we meet in heaven.

I saw him in 1978 at the Greek Theater in Berkeley with Lee Ritenour on the billing. I did not know much about him back then. We got to the concert late missed most of Lee and was bummed until Al Jarreau came on and I was blown away and I came away a believer. He was magic on stage. I ended up buying a bunch of his work.

One of my very favorite top artist. Loved him from the moment I attended my first concert of his. I've him still.
He practiced his art until he made his transition. Never complained never wavered.
A true artist....you did it your way...using the gifts Oludumare Blessed you with regardless if the Kaukasoid industry understood it.
    Here's to you.
    This Sister is "bad."
Al made his transition battling throat cancer.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting him backstage after he performed at Queens Royal College in Trinidad a few years ago. Was really humble and cool as ever. We exchanged Albums, autographed for each other, chatted about his Social work. I Will cherish that moment for the rest of my life. The greatest vocalist to ever walk planet earth. Ever!

Hello Alita. Love this. Al Jarreau is one of my all time favourites and, as a fellow singer, a vocal inspiration. Summertime is a song I've recorded also, and I find it allows a lot of room for improvisation and flexibility as both you and Al displayed with such smooth and masterful ease. Thank you for the music.
