The FASTEST Way To Get To The Parks From Shades of Green | FIRST Minnie Van Ride | Crystal Palace!

- After a late start getting up this morning we decided to splurge and take our very first Minnie Van ride to Magic Kingdom for our brunch at the Crystal Palace! It was without a doubt the fastest way to get from Shades of Green to the front of Magic Kingdom, bypassing the ticket and transportation center (TTC) and getting dropped off right at security in front of the gates. It took no more than 7 minutes. Once we scanned into the park we walked down a busy mainstreet USA towards and took a left after Caseys Corner towards the Crystal Palace. We had a very slow paced and relaxing 90 minute brunch buffet with Winnie the Pooh and his friends. We absolutely loved the entire experience and the food. The churro mickey waffles are a crowd favorite and they were definitely the highlight of my plate...shocker! After brunch we went over to Storybook Circus to sniff out some Elephants on Parade. There are some SWEET smelling elephants (sponsored by Scentsy) that you can find with the help of a special map. If you complete the map and find all of the "smellephants" you can return your map to a cast member who will officially declare you a "Whiff-sistant" with your very own exclusive sticker! We had fun picking out our favorites. To end the morning we grabbed a DAS pass for Seven Dwarves Mine Train and Story decided she wasn't so scared of it afterall! Now its her favorite ride of course. It was a hot day but we had the SWEETEST morning at Magic Kingdom. Thanks for watching along!

We LOVED Minnie Van. It was great for MK because of how close it gets you. Amazing for leaving too. We were so tired and I ordered one on Main Street and it pulled up as we got to the bus stop. It was amazing. Definitely more pricey than a typical Lyft, but worth it for a MK day for us. We had great drivers, and one did Disney trivia with us. It made it a lot of fun. We used SOG buses for all other parks. But my husband, who’s a saver, didn’t hesitate to say Minnie Van when I asked what he wanted to do for our MK Day 2. It will now be budgeted in to all our SOG stays. Crystal Palace for those waffles is on our list for the next trip!

We were at the shades during the 4th and hoped that we would run into you guys on post but I think we got there after you guys! Next trip I think we will use the Mini transport because the buses although free, are a nightmare with multiple children. I have a bad back from the war due to driving a mine sweeper and I was sitting on the seats that fold up for the scooters and had to give up my seat so a scooter could park and the day went to hell from that lol so I hate taking the buses, this is much easier than driving yourself to the park!
Dang! I’m sorry we missed you. We left on the 6th. But definitely give the Minnie van a try on your next visit if it’s in the budget. If you can only do it for one park I’d use it for Magic Kingdom…it’s such a great experience and truly didn’t cost as much as I thought it would. I know the price can fluctuate but they really sold me on it that morning. I hope next time is better for you!!

We took the Minnie van in November when we switched resorts and it was an amazing experience. The driver was so nice and it made our switch easy since we had a scooter to transfer as well.

Honestly, I can’t wait to book one again bc it was so great 😂 I don’t know that we will have a real reason to do so but I don’t care lol It was so convenient!
Is this something new? When we were at SOG in December of 2022, we were told that the Minnie Van would not pick up guests at SOG or at the Swan/Dolphin as well. It never made sense to me that the van wasn't available since SOG sits on Disney land, but if it's now available, that's great!

The Minnie Van is one of the reasons we stay at SOG. The extra money saved from staying there gets used on better transportation since the walkway to the Poly is now closed.

You mentioned the Minnie van “could” fit 7. We are 4 adults and 3 children (10, 9 and 6). Could we just request one Minnie van and would they accomodate us?
I'm so sorry I missed this comment! My husband booked this through his Lyft app but how I believe it works is you put the number of people in the app and they will suggest which vehicle you need. The one we used in the video was all we needed for the 3 of us however they do have larger vans that accommodate larger groups and even ECV's. :)
I have always considered booking the Crystal Palace! How would you rate it out of the other character dining you have done?
Unrelated, my husband had his DAS call this morning for our upcoming trip to Disneyland. It was way faster than the projected wait time, the cast member was very nice, and he didn’t make my husband go uncomfortably into detail about his issues (which he was very grateful for). He was done and approved in less than 5 minutes on the actual call. Just wanted to share a positive story from the new requirements.

If you have a chance to book Crystal Palace I would definitely recommend it! I never made it a priority bc we aren’t big “buffet people” but it was genuinely great! I was fixated on the Mickey churro waffles but truly the whole spread was wonderful. There were plenty of options for all of us which can sometimes be challenging. We all left full! What I also liked was that I could put what I wanted on my plate (compared to the family style meals where they just give it all to you) I can manage my appetite better that way and it didn’t feel as wasteful.
And thank you for sharing your DAS experience! That’s SUCH good news! We still haven’t called for Tim to try yet but that will be coming up soon. I’ve been hearing a lot from both sides so we shall see!
