What a fun idea for a video! I imagine a lot of people still go with no planning whatsoever. For me it would be very stressful not to plan, my spreadsheets are my best friends 😅

I finally got to try the frozen boysenberry apple freeze - wow! At first I said no to the (sauce) but went back and added it and that made it perfect!!!! I did not get whipped cream on it though. I will DEFINITELY get it again. So good. Thank you for suggesting it.

We just returned from our first trip to Disneyland. We had three days for the two parks and did 12 rides our first day in Disneyland plus saw Fantasmic that night. We had early entry and we used much of your advice (taking a break in the afternoon was very helpful!). We did not buy Genie+ but we found it was very relaxing to go where we wanted, meanwhile we heard many people concerned about hurrying up what they were doing because they had to make their Lightning Lane return time. Thanks for all your advice, we had such a wonderful time.
The kids Mac and cheese in Toontown was in a condiment cup! Crazy.
Took your advice from your other video. We were at Disneyland two weeks ago. We ate at Red Rose Tavern Breakfast/Lunch and Dinner at the Plaza. Since we did the early entry we rode The Dumbo Train and 3 rides in the Castle before Red Rose opened at 9:00 am. Thank you!

So the wait time on boards for ROTR is based on when you get into the actual ride vehicle? Cos I would have thought it would be when you first get on that mini spaceship as that seems like part of the attraction?

I will say though, as a person with a small appetite, I love the kids meals because there are usually so many snacks/desserts I want to try, and adult meal would be too big. Kids meals at least give me some protein and help balance out the sugar. :)
@@tonjacolors I think my kids could have eaten three of those kids meals each before getting full. But they love pasta. 😂
@@SoCalDisneyDad My two sons would have demolished quite a few of those too, but it looks perfect for me, leaving plenty of room for all the churros, ice cream, and cheesy bread I’d also want to eat that day 😅

I had the mozzarella sticks at Golden Horseshoe my last visit. Not bad for a quick snack. And I'm a do a section at a time person in general, but it is strategic. 😉 Even with my magic key, I often don't do a lot of park hopping, but if one park gets packed I'll hop across.

I will be in OC beginning of August and will be going to Disneyland. Have dinner package for Fantastic. I have been rewatching videos to get the most of the day. Golden Horseshoe was a great place when they had the live show. Food was OK but the show was great.
Do you know if there's a place to get the lobster Mac and cheese that used to be available from Harbour Galley?

It's fun to change it up. Amy did a great job vloging. I love baby ducks, too. I agree. With the food options. But I have eaten at the Golden Horseshoe quite a few times. I always eat upstairs, usually a late night snack. Especially when they had entertainment. That's when it was fun. James is going to have a blast running the show on his B-day. Can't wait.

If you have early entry are you able to get to haunted mansion area or rise before the rope drop crowd does? Or are the hotel guests just stuck in tomorrow land and fantasy land until that clears lol
@@SaraC870 Only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. You can stand over by Red Rose ready for the rope to drop, but you have to wait until 8 like everyone else.

Wouldnt the first possible mistake to make be parking in Mickey and Friends? And then NOT rope drop....
@@ricardoconqueso I park in Mickey and Friends all the time. I never have any issues.
We thought about not rope dropping as the alternative to rope dropping Rise, but we also really wanted to test it out…and were reminded why we don’t rope drop Rise. 😅

Question im going to disney in November and i have the park reservation an everything for 3 days 2forc Disney n 1 for DCA but i didnt buy the genie plus can i buy it for all the 3 days or i have to do it one day at a tine and its 7 of us?? They all in my fone till inget their bands
@@EdgarGuanespen Since you didn’t buy it in advance when you purchased your tickets, you will purchase it day of and can buy it as many days or as few days as you like.
You can scan tickets via the app or MagicBand. Whichever method you prefer.

How come no one in vlogs try to rope drop or ride Indiana. It's always pirates and big thunder etc?
@@pyromonster4784 Indiana Jones is a fine ride to rope drop. Though the line tends to stay fairly low for the first hour. Like 15 minute waits. Even if it’s posted higher.
I usually opt for Space Mountain because it jumps to 30+ pretty quick.
Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Indiana Jones, and Matterhorn are all top tier rides I try to do before 9 AM.
Not necessarily all on the same day, mind you. But you could aim at knocking those out. It just might take a tad longer than an hour.
Pirates is actually not so great for rope drop given the 10 minute ride time. I usually don’t bother with that one until around 9 AM as well.

Hi Traver, thanks for all your videos on tips and food. We followed your advice during our trip in early June and Oh Boy! Thank God we did and stuck through it and it helped alot. We got the most use out of our day during all 3 days, no genie plus. And it's a Commitment!! From looking and studying the app on location, directon and food before we came, to wait times on the map, to prioritizing our Wants, to even walking Fast to pass all walkers and strollers in the park. Whew!! I will say, not sure if the average person can even really do this. But we did. And we had a Blast. Thank you Traver!

To anyone watching who hasn't been, no, the videos of the rides don't do them any justice. It's not capturing the pure magic of how freaking cool these rides are. Especially the dark rides like Pinocchio. It's just not the same.
I only go to Disneyland with my significant other and we do no planning whatsoever. All we do is chase low wait times, stack lightning lanes, work around reservations (if we have any) and we are able to do everything we wanted to do with extra time to spare. We are in our 30's so of course a lot of the rides for kids get skipped or also some rides we will only do once.
Give this video an award!
I think one big takeaway here is that the crowds heavily influence how successful a day can be with minimal planning. I think it's best to say that you should go in assuming the crowds are going to be insane, and plan ahead. Then if it's not bad when you get there, you can wing it a little.
