  • New Orleans' Algiers residents were able to get food and some supplies from a distribution site in Algiers Tuesday, but you had to have patience.
People waited for up to 4 hours for distribution of food, water, tarps for rooftops and a chance to charge their phones.

Many things that are sad about this situation. The Jefferson Parish Sherriff blamed the people who didn't top off their cars. So many don't have cars!
Done Disaster Relief before but learned something new today. FEMA should prepare by preregistering people when they have electricity and phones, not when no one can contact FEMA.

Turn off your power, unplug your frig ,and try to sleep in 90 degree uncooled home for 4-14 days without food or water. I bet you would be the first in line.
