I remember a time when you were saying you didn’t have a lot of good medieval sets…now here we are and you’re medieval area is almost full 😄

It is fantastic. There is such a strong feeling of hustle and bustle about the layout with loads of intriguing details. Lego may not have gone full castle, but they've gone castle enough to keep things interesting. Truthfully, I think these sets have to be a bit bigger and more expensive to have the kind of details and completeness we all like in our Lego sets. I've only picked up the Blacksmith's Shop and I ordered the parts to build The Castle in the Forest, so seeing a lovely layout like yours is a real treat! Thanks very much!

    This is fantastic!!
You need to add in a 6067 (or 10000) Guarded Inn! They're expensive with a good flag print but I promise it'll become your most prized Castle set!

like the way you reinvented the 1984 King's castle as a barrier of entry to the farmland. its movable and simplistic walls make that easy. fun how it connects to the structure from the 2012 joust. the 2000s medieval market is from 2009. now that you have the forest stronghold you should try to build a pine tree forestry for the forestmen

Idea you should add the Snow White cottage to the castle layout

Great overview. As you said on Bricking news, when it was new you were hoping to fill it up. Now that it's almost full, you're wondering where you should expand it. I vote for going under the residential area. Maybe that area could be the new winter castle area.

I like that idea. It seems to be inevitable at this point.

I'm very jealous of your Medieval area, and I look forward to the day when you start to MILS plate it all. That way you can add a lot more detail and finish off some areas. Keep Brickin.

That looks so awesome Alex! You kinda inspired me to build a medieval setup, like slowly gradually building it up. I’m thinking about using the Viking village to pair up with the mountain fortress, since they are both on the cold weather side. They will be on one corner order the map where it is icy and chill and the lion knights will be on the warmer side of the map.

Looks great! This sets an example to follow for most of Lego Castle fans. Could you please list in a comment all sets that you used for creating it?

The 3D molded base plate in the far corner looks interesting. What is that from?

I bought that for my city from a Bricks&Minifigs store. I had my train run through the middle and built my "mountain" on it, but I am not sure what set it came from. My guess is it was from some sort of castle.

Is the D&D set in the future for this? The CMFs would at least be good to mix in with the other figures.

Looks awesome. I remember when you only had a couple of sets. Is it bad to say that I like it more than your city? 😂😉

Hi Alex! Big fan. Bricklink will be releasing a Black Falcon Siege Encampment set and Lion Knights Seaside Harbor set for Series 4. Will you be buying those to create a siege in your overworld Castle layout?

Yes, both of those should end up in my collection. I am really looking forward to those sets.
