  • The leaves begin to change colour as the weather turns colder. We lament that we still don’t own a comforting wood stove, but baking fills the house with delicious smells and warmth. Honey crisp apples, tart and full of juice, are peeled and then sliced up for a giant strudel. Recalling Oktoberfest parties hosted in previous years, we wonder how long the pandemic will last. So much is unknown; it feels good to connect with something familiar from childhood. We set the table with an honorary extra plate and cup to remember the student who might have sat there, enjoying this special feast with us. Like the birds filling themselves with peanuts in preparation for winter, we convince ourselves it won’t hurt to give ourselves another helping of whipped cream. We light a Diwali candle for hope. Filmed in the last week of October, and November 18th, 2020. - Miranda Stone

Ha! That Olio cassette is a rare thing! You can now find it digitally on bandcamp under "oliotheband." I'm glad to hear you think I've aged well! I am enjoying the process so far!
