What a strange atmosphere. It was like watching a high school game in terms of the gym. UConn seems to be in a weird place with the skills to hit shots or great passes one minute and then total air-ball the next. That's definitely mental tiredness.Watching Coach Auriemma I got the feeling even he is too tired to complain a lot. Pounding on the table and watching the players going in circles must have been awful. Perhaps worst was what the Coach said in the post-game interview, that they couldn't practice to get better. They're simply too tired and beat-up.
I agree. Sloppy plays and lack of consistency just utter exhaustion. Worst part about this that you cant just do a practice routine or some special drills to energize. It can be only cured by enough time to recharge.
Aubrey is the un-sung hero of this team..... The first year Paige was here i saw her as a hero as a Hondo Havlicek off the bench!!! A spark plug for them now as starter she is acting more like him than ever....

Nika looked possessed uncharacteristically sinking those threes. Maybe that's the new norm for her. The whole team looks a bit fatigued having to play so many minutes which is not normal. I hope they're up to the task against South Caroline. They have a big front line.
A lot of lost handles for no reason, game being way slower than usual for on and off ball movement and especially on transition, Huskies not really hustling for the ball and as they used to just shows how exhausted the team is becoming. And it is not their fault with only 5 players playing almost all games all 40 minutes all season long. But unlikely there will be some time to recharge before march madness. This year will be even more harsh on the Huskies than last year. Second game where Aaliyah just doesnt find into her usual game, Lou hitting only 1 of 5 from the arch, and the bench players with about 10mins each not impacting the game at all are just not good signs. At least Dorka, Nika and Aubrey did well and keep UCOON aflot. That is the most amazing thing about this team: they arent about one star player but whenever one player doesnt perform well at least one other Husky takes the opportunity to step up. Although i would argue you defitintely can tell if Nika is on or off the court just by watching how UCONN runs their offense and defense.
If we play the way we did against Tennessee then Sundays game has the potential to be close. Given how tired they clearly are and our lack of depth, I wouldn't be surprised if SC dominated 🤷🏽♂️. We need more shooters.
The lady huskies have look exhausted this and the last two games. Geno needs to stop shaking his head at their performance and ensure they get sleep and relaxation. No practices until Sunday warmups.

The problem is their main 3-point shooters like Azzi, Paige and Caroline are all injured with 2 of them probably being easily in the top5 of 3-point shooters in the country. Show me a team that just easily can compensate that like UCONN does! Yes Dorka can shoot threes, and Lou can shoot lights out one game but she is a mixed bag because the next game she just cant get the ball going. Both are not consistant as a true shooter like Azzi or Paige. The Problem is not confidence it is an bench packed with injured players and i wonder if those teams ranked above UCONN having their two best players out for injury for the season they would still make it close to the top 5 ranks at all, heck i doubt SC with their top 2 players out would make it easily into the top10!

Symptoms include sensitivity to light, sound, dizziness, etc. In some games she can be seen wearing earplugs on the bench, and in the Villanova post-game, Geno remarked that sometimes she had to leave the bench in the second quarter because the lights were getting to her. Geno said she could be back in 2- 5 games. I think it will be closer to 5. I hope I'm wrong.
