Like in China they were strong for most of this year because China was able to find their own identity and their own playstyle but because now Vitality has reminded the world all you need is your own flare and I bet that helped C9 too to be able to awaken their true identity that reminds me of the old C9 2014.

Thats the sad truth... the bo5s will show how dominant the lck and lpl really are. Nevertheless i still believe in the heart and clutch many western teams can deliver even in 5 games against the best of the best. Its like Yamato said, misfits showed the world what theyre capable of in more than one game and that opened up a lot of windows for the west even though we havent seen it at msi yet. But for the first time i truly believe that western teams have chance against these powerhouses and that fact alone is huge for ive been watching lolesports since season 3.
2018 FNC and 2019 G2 then went on to make World finals and G2 took home the MSI title. 2017 Misfits went from EU Challenger series to match point against SKT at Worlds, their 1-year plan defying even their own expectations, and changed the EU narrative from that point on. I love this region so much. It's the sense of pride that they have that will take them further and further, from the players to the casters and production team.

I admire Yamato, love his interviews (euphoria was very nice), the speech let me think that he's not going to be with vitality next year, that worries me a bit for vitality, the last day performance was insane and I'm sure that Yamato had his part on that. For EU, I liked and agree. Of course, everbody should learn from everybody, but the eu style proven to be a good one and I'm already looking fowards to the next years lcs.

Even though Vitality made some plays zilean, singed, etc was just too tough to overcome. They needed a different strategy but they only had one it seemed.

I understand your point. And after the games, I continue thinking about the 'group of death' but for two different reasons, vit and c9 (yeah, rng stills as a reason). And as I understand, its not for G2's demerit, they owned that spot, but I do believe that they couldn't win against the last day of vitality. In the other hand, I don't know if they changed groups, maybe both could get out. But its not viable to do an all vs all round robin with 16 teams (120 games, no rematch). Unfair because has some luck involved, fair because the major regions send more teams, than each region has a better chance to shine. I tottally understand the approach even with the luck factor.
After watching a whole season of both teams, VIT is like 150% better than C9, despite how good C9 played this day. Anyway, hope C9 beats any asian team that comes to them. Keep the good work, do better next time. GG WP.

C9 took a risk after spring fell apart and tried to figure out their young players, which in the long run is what got them here. Comparing seasons like that doesn't work, because they weren't on the same trajectory. Vitality was trying to grow while C9 was still trying to find the right players. So comparing them like that doesn't really work right.
