- This is Enduro Test 2 at the Us Sprint Enduro held at Promised Land MX. I struggled a bit on this test as I wasn't expecting it to have gotten a lot more difficult after the first round of racing. After this event, I also bought an electric start 2021 YZ250f as I had had enough with the kickstarter during race situations. Could not be happier with that decision.

Even after all the complaining, and the roots, and the slick rocks, and the blood sweat and tears, I'll bet you will do it again. Off road racing is a lot of fun.
I had a lot more fun on my 3rd test. I have that on my channel as well. But yes I’ll definitely be doing more of these in the future.
I'm a moto guy who is converting... a couple hundred hours of practice makes it better. I don't mind the roots so much and the trees are fading out of the track. It's just all throttle and brakes now. 😂😂😂
@@woodysrockspyro6436 Well a lot of times if were having an event that's at a track. They use both. Im not much of a moto guy but its fun to ride the track and then take off in the woods. Its a good mixture of different skills. I will be hitting washougal this sunday.
wet slimey ruts everywhere! Looked like a fun course and gnarly conditions man
For some reason I want to go do it again 🤣
Off road is a different animal than MX… both are fun… me I prefer dodging trees than other riders. 😂
You guys should colab fr
@@mitchelllyons7470 we ride together all the time haha a ton of my videos have Moto Mills in them 🤘🏼
@@mitchelllyons7470 Coming to a TV near you 🤘🏻
Looks like a ton of fun, dirt looked nice. Keep the ol feet on the pegs and in the attack position/rider triangle!
I’ll work on it but it was slick. Standing and slick don’t always go well together
Getting the bike set up for enduro makes a huge difference also. Have fun and stay safe man.
Yea I just softened up my suspension a little but even with the proper bike I would have still been struggling a little. Never ridden woods like that before. Have plenty of woods riding videos on my channel but this was completely different and I liked the challenge
Yeah i will make it easier, but best way (lot more expensive way) is to get a hard enduro bike like some EXC TPI or gasgas, husky, beta, sherco…
“Foook youu! You fooked me upp!!” 🤣 all outta love. But real talk that track was rutted to hell, tougher than I imagined no lie.
I got camera shy 🤣
Wow that was such a fast track! What series is this? I race a lot of NYOA and GNCC I wanna rip this series
This was the US Sprint Enduro series held at Promised Land in Pennsylvania. I had a blast
Nice riding man! Those trails were nuts! haha
My 3rd Test I posted originally was the best but for some reason youtube wants people to see this one haha
A soft suspension and a 2 stroke is the key to riding like this. I have a yz250x woth suspension set at 185lbs even though im about 10lbs heavier. I float through trails like this.
That sounds like a dream dude
that looks like such a fun trail
It was a fun trail for sure but certainly challenging
Looks like a fun course! I'm using my rmz250 for trail racing here in Texas. Wish we did the staggered start thing and "test" phases, we do a dead bike start, each class starts together, then the whole race is 70 minutes + a lap if you cross just before the time runs out. Frustrating if you don't get a good start and get stuck behind slower riders on single track. Also wind up catching other classes at times, since the race is longish and depending on the location is between 2 to 5 laps for most folks. I added a rekluse so it won't die when I drop it, and less likely to flameout. Also resprung/revalved to be more plush and replaced engine mounts with softer ones since the rmz is so stiff / made for sx. Rekluse is a huge energy saver (yeah I know I should stop falling and hitting trees).
I’m primarily a MX rider so I would have to make due with that setup when trying out these events. This was just a spur of the moment race for me and I will be doing more of them in the future for sure.
If you’re running mx tires as apposed to a soft compound enduro tire can make a big difference. Gearing as well on the bike.
To be honest even if I had all the right stuff it would have still been a challenge. I had fun tho
In my opinion. Enduros and Hare Scrambles are a much better test of your off road riding abilities compared to today's MX tracks. MX tracks mainly test how big your cahones are because of all the ridiculous jumps. Just my opinion as a old timer.
Fair point. I will have to agree on that
The trick is the same for motocross man. Look ahead, stand up, grip with your legs, chin over bars, back straight, feet on pegs, etc. You know, proper technique!
All that and proper suspension settings..
This trail looks awesome sheeesh
It was a fun trail but the video doesn’t do the conditions justice. I didn’t race Sunday cause the forecast but I saw videos… everyone was brown. Couldn’t tell who was on what…
Can I make an offer on the Yamaha dirtbike that your riding. I’m a big fan I love your videos
Lowest I can go is 4500 buddy.
Hell yea man good riding it all was good to ride something Different.
I want to do more of these style races next year.
Enduro is awesome, so much fun. Being on an MX bike isn't helping you though. And, personally, I prefer a smaller 2 stroke. Lighter and doesn't wear you out as much trying to control it.
Totally agree dude. Would like to have trail dedicated bike for sure
Where do I sign up to do this looks fun
This is a US Sprint Enduro race. Check them out online to see if they come to a place nearby you.
Stand up!
I did when I felt comfortable. Conditions were super slick so I didn’t want the bike slipping from under me.
The trick is a rekluse and patience
Never ridden with a rekluse but have been wanting to try one out.
@Moto Mills makes things a lot easier in the woods. You're on a motocross bike so the transmission ratios aren't ideal for woods racing. You find yourself constantly slipping clutch and you'll develop serious arm pump lol.
Another tip is to pace yourself as well.
Once you started following that one guy you seemed to get into a groove and started to build confidence.
Helps to see how the ground is going to make the bike react then I can choose a different route haha. Put the test subject first 🤣
Good shit

There's a reason why more people who race enduro ride 2 strokes. A 4 stroke is not the best engine for slow single track riding.
Yea I noticed that. Would be ideal to have a flywheel weight. I went to this event cause my MX race got cancelled due to track conditions. Decided to try something new out spur of the moment.
This kind of woods racing 4 stroke is not an issue. It's the kind of stuff that you are at a crawl speed where 2 strokes are king.
should of done Hair scramble its better -- try that next..
I will for sure now that I have an eatart bike 🤣
Gnarly af, you killed it babe. 🔥
#1 fan is always stoked on my performance even if I biffed it. 🤍
Super cool to see a moto guy tryin out the woods🫡
Stand up
So won’t the real Slim Shady please __________!
Wtf is up with the guy in jeans and t-shirt at the start? Where I come from that guy wouldn't be out racing...
And to be honest that dude was fast as hell. He was sandbagging and they moved him into B class. 🤣
jeans and t shirt for the win
Why? You locals would beat him up or something? 😂
@@kellybrown6988 no. Officials wouldn't let him get on track without proper gear. And jeans aren't the right stuff to take part in a race in...
@@janniksims5740yep, same at most places in New England as well. Has to be an insurance thing for most places I’d imagine.
Beta....JS
Not wrong
you are soo good ! wow !
Thank you so much!!
