- Roblox UGC accessories have taken a dark turn over the last couple of months with large amounts of "sus" inappropriate items being uploaded. Nobody really seems to realize how big this problem is.

Why are people so persistant on trying to make a kids game innapropriate? It's getting on my nerves how Roblox didn't prevent this from happening either.
It’s because it’s a 3d model, not a drawing, and its harder to moderate it becuase from what i know ai doesnt recognize inapropriate 3d models yet
for the first question: this is present in every community if you look hard enough into it, its basically inevitable at this point

While I do agree with you, I also wanna say that even Roblox allows dirty stuff to be added to their games. With some of their fanbase growing up, they’re trying to cater to older people and allowing online dating to happen. They don’t really gaf about the kids that play games on Roblox anymore. Grown adults having full access to talk to minors (by vc + private condo games), is something they allow, since they don’t even try to actually moderate and handle disgusting behavior made by adults, towards minors. They don’t even try to ban anyone who’s actually doing inappropriate things on the platform. They allow this type of stuff.

I believe neither the tail creator or reverse avatar items are at fault. It's a conundrum of two innocent items coming together to make something inappropriate, which is almost impossible to moderate, as infinite items means infinite possibilities or combinations.
The bright side is Ruben sim managed to get that item removed

The worst part about all of this is how the "creators" who are uploading these items are doing so through fodder alt accounts and cycle them through tons of groups. It pretty much makes it so ROBLOX can't fully get rid of them without either IP banning the user (which never works due to VPNS) or deleting each account one by one. If they really want to fix UGC, they will have to reduce the creators to a VERY small number and then begin hand selecting users to create once more, because whatever they did that allowed these pedos and money farms to make items ended up being a horrible decision.
I've seen free UGC Limited's go that route as well.

Why not serial ban them? Like roblox blocked heckin' VM-s can't even play from a linux machine running a windows VM cause you will get some "unkown error" so dumb, so they can't just "ohh boot up a new vm", also it's so funny that they have time and budget to make this, but not to actually hire real human moderation made of of meat and not bots or just using copy-paste text or whatever can't even help anything with any problems or answer any questions, what a shame tbh.

As bad as it seems right now, probably the best course of action is to wait for public UGC to release. The influx of these deplorable items that will be uploaded (along with more copyright-infringing accessories) will surely bring this issue into the public eye once parents catch wind, inevitably prompting many lawsuits. ROBLOX will undoubtedly respond more appropriately once they see their money at stake.
i personally don't want UGC to get shutdown or anything, because a lot of the items i use are made with UGC to make avatars based on characters from games, etc. but i definitely think that roblox should moderate it way better, and have actual people watch over instead of bots, or whatever the hell they're doing.
They should make it actually ILLEGAL to do stuff like this.

It is times like this that make me wish Roblox had tags that will hide these 17/18+ items from underaged users and a way for said items to not load in games meant for younger audiences. I.E., a way to make avatar items that can only be worn in games with a certain age rating.
It's like with what social media doesn't do against violating hashtags and word querys, instead of blocking/banning/blacklisting certain tags from being used... they rather moderate posts under said tags.
It's sad to see.
It shouldn't be on roblox at all. There's literal bdsm items on there, and as someone who is part of that community, I don't wanna see these items in a game full of minors. And even by putting a 17/18+ tag on it, it's just a big no. It isn't something you can just throw an 18+ tag on, that's not how it works.

Exactly I thought UGC would be a cool concept seeing original items by people like The Ship Architect and huiyunwenhua back when UGC debuted + was peak, Now we got milked copyright bypassing items, inappropriate shit, unoriginal knockoffs and blatant copies with 0 credit, etc. On top of that, Roblox wants to allow public UGC access meaning I could literally go a 3D model gallery like Tinkercad and start uploading all kinds of copyright bypassing shit that has 0 originality, 0 quality, is stolen, and could get Roblox sued...at this point I'm convinced Bastardzucki is smoking something and has been for the last 5+ years

There's also the problem of Nazi UGC attire such as the recent 'Storm Kepis' which are literally based off the SA.
The tail wasn't actually supposed to be used like that as the creator confirmed, it's actual purpose is to be used as an accessory for characters with a red and black color scheme or hair of those two colors.

However he's wrong about it not being preventable, having it be a closed thing where only people who are verified can make ugc items like how it was in 2019 worked fine.

I think Roblox should use manual verification for UGC with employee training on what is and isn't allowed. Aswell as training on lesser known inappropriate themes

Dubit. I keep eyes on everything that drops under UGC layered clothing & i remember when the catalog was flooded by BD*M stuff from just the one group alone. It actually made me worried sbout thr number of children who were going to discover these things & look futher into them.
Honestly, the knockoffs (and 1:1 copies) of Limiteds are perfectly fine: Hell, they're letting regular people wear what they want for relatively cheap prices. For inappropriate stuff though, obviously that's no good.

Reminds me of the time I play the Hello Kitty Caffee game, the minigame that is the frog run or sum like that, (green game, not kaorumi or cinnamon) Basically 2 people had some very questionable CLASSIC clothes. One was a black shirt with something writen on them, that was very inappropriate and another was wearing the Classic clothes equivalent of the first layered clothing item seen in video. It was a few months ago when the Avatars just became public thing to create

UGC has allowed items that Roblox would've never made or thought of thanks to the program, but it's a double edge sword with a sharp edge especially sharpened by Roblox's infamously lazy moderation. Less a UGC problem, more of Roblox not preparing or making adequate moderation.

Honestly, I always thinked the best way for evade this is If Roblox hide people exclusively for moderate the UGC, basically If you make one UGC and you post it one of the workers will analyze your item and see If is appropiate or not, maybe this is hard or can be problematic but I don't know much about this kind of things
good rule of thumb is if you wouldn't let your own child wear it, it shouldn't be on the roblox catalog
tbh im starting to actually think roblox is going to genuinely add public ugc, they love sexual themes and pedos so much so i would not be suprised.

It all started when Roblox began allowing things that could've been seen as "suspicious". Things like "blush" faces, certain forms of clothing (arm & leg warmers, particularly furry ones) heart eyes and more. I've been around a variety of games and I can tell you the vast majority of avatars people make with innuendo/suggestive features include something from this list or both.
If Roblox wants to continue on with public UGC they need to ban anything blush related, stocking or leg and arm warmer related, and crack down hard on using groups to upload things like this.
Arm warmers are quite literally the least innapropriate thing on roblox. You don't have to like them but dont get mad at players using them for their intended purpose on roblox, they aren't nsfw or 18+ and literal children use them irl.
Leg warmers on roblox i have not seen a singular soul use them "inappropriately" or "suspiciously" so your claims are honestly really stupid, Blush is fine its the players misusing them. You cant police how someone ends up using your item itself unless its purpose was to be genuinely nsfw, which some are but banning it entirely wont solve the problem. By the logic of banning blush off the platform SSHF should be as well, because it includes blush.

Roblox really tried to delay ugc to slightly save us from the degen avatar items but it appears that roblox is really terrible at moderating ugc items regardless of the delay

Roblox had the audacity to take down the guns from JohnDrinkin under the "reason" of "but we don't want kids to have guns" when *HALF* of the major games in roblox are FPS, with Phantom Forces being a prime example. There's also games that show absolute brutality like Centaura and roblox let's them loose.
And yet they take THIS long to deal with people who have ACTUALLY broken far more important rules with their own UGCs than just fucking guns.
