The chapel should become a place of special interest in France and all over the world when completely restored! Perhaps it would be a great idea to create a leaflet for the tourist information locations, guide books etc eventually. Anything the chapel earned could partly fund additional costs needed for the chapel in the future, donations to charities and provide the funds to keep the chateau and its estate as lovely as possible for the present and future visitors and guests
I also like those chairs! "Porter chairs, also known as hood chairs or gatekeeper chairs, have a rich history dating back to medieval England and France"
Stephanie is already working with the contracting company of the chapel restorers to do the beam replacement installation in the ceiling of the grand salon/floor of the rooms upstairs. Not the painting part but the structural engineering part. I am hoping they will stay on to get the terrace repaired too.
Stephanie, we can get by with a video going out a day or two later when you have an event on, especially a wedding! Please do not feel always obliged! Love and hugs!
The people’s chateau you stayed at is beautiful & the people seem fine as well. Thank you Stephanie for sharing & sorting out the video-you are so thoughtful.
What an incredible milestone moment, to see all the stars in place… just wow!! 🤩🤩🤩 I’ve only ever seen a ceiling like that, blue with golden stars, in Neuschwanstein in Bavaria. And what a beautiful castle that you are staying in! 👌 Thank you so much for all the joy and beauty! 🫶💞🫶
The chapel restoration is truly amazing! The craftsmen are so skilled at their job and take great pride in their work. Grant’s project in the hall is going to be a great improvement. Love Philip’s porcelain collection and the sneak peak at Sarah and Steve on their wedding day. Thanks Stephanie🙏❤️
Ed and Candace have a lovely collection of paintings and antiques and probably china as well 😉. The little chapel is precious. Thanks for showing us part of your home!
The chapel is magnificent! What a change - I think people will come from miles around to see it once it’s done. I love how excited Phillip was to share his porcelain treasures. He really is such a connoisseur. Congratulations to Sara and Steve on their wedding.
I look forward to seeing the families reaction to the chapel when they come for their annual visit. You have done a magnificent job of being a caretaker and restorer. In another person care it would have crumbled
Every time I see the beautiful colorful patterns in the chapel it makes me want to replicate something at home (though of course on a much smaller scale) Its so incredible.
I am so thrilled for manor am maker wishing them every happiness. The chateau you are staying in is breathtaking, enjoy your stay. It would be lovely to see them restore their chapel too.
Once again a heart felt thank you Stephanie for your great videos. I have always been impressed with your dedication to your editorial schedule. The way you leave the fun and events to edit. Your videos are always, fun, interesting and varied. Keep up the great work.
I was excited to see one of my favorite paintings hanging next to the portrait of George Washington in the Château you visited. There, on the left of the portrait was a small copy of Washington Praying at Valley Forge by American artist Arnold Friberg. I love that painting, and what a surprise to see it hanging in a French Château! I'm thrilled that Sarah and Steve are tying the knot!! Love you all
Oh my goodness Stephanie, you don’t have to leave a friends wedding to put out your vlog!!!! We can wait an extra day or two! I feel so sad for Sarah and Steve that you had to leave their party. Yes you are a full time vlogger, but you have to take time to enjoy your friends too. They invited you because you are important to them. Also you must take time for yourself every now and then! To just relax and have fun with friends. We will all understand. Well the majority of us will anyway 😉. Loved seeing the guilding in the chapel too ❤⭐️
Ed and Candace just blew me away with their earnest passion for French architecture and it’s history and preservation!! Do they have website/RUclips ?…I would love to know their back story?… in one of the comments somebody mentioned that they were on the vlog before? Please let me know!x
The chandelier in Ed & Candice's chateau entry is a Waterford 5-arm Hospitality Lamp. We have wall sconces, table lamps & decanters that match... They're absolutely wonderful handmade crystal gems from Ireland. ❤️🙏
Your friends château is amazing and very interesting about the chapel and what the chapel at Le Lande must have looked like before how it is now. Enjoy the wedding.
Absolutely gorgeous video! The chapel looks stunning! What a treasure! Thank you Stephanie for thinking about us in the middle of a wedding party 🎉! Have fun ❤️💃🏼🕺🏻
WoW! This chateau is GORGEOUS 😍. This couple really did it up beautifully. I love it!! The wedding looks fun. Do they have a you tube channel?? Also, im enjoying your channel very much. 😊
The Countess of Nadaillac whose child died so young must have been overcome with grief. To help herself come out of her grief and depression it seems that unknowingly she turned to two things that modern day psychology recognizes as instruments of healing and a form of therapy. Firstly, the Arts. This we can see in the exquisite beauty of the Lalande chapel. How it must have slowly uplifted her spirits as day by day she helped create such exquisite beauty. The second was her spiritual belief which is also recognized as an instrument of healing. She was a survivor. Instinctively she turned towards age old ways of healing. So, Stephanie your chapel is a place of healing. Your own positive spirit enhances that healing energy. It must be a very special place to pray…
The restoration of the chapel is coming along quite nicely. It's very beautiful. I am glad to see that Lancelot's eyes are looking all better. Thank you.
The chapel restoration is moving fast and looks magnificent. Congratulations to Sarah and Steve. Thanks for the tour of the chateau. What a lovely chateau and couple.❤
The details of the chapel restoration are interesting and amazing. To restore a work of such size and detail is almost certainly more difficult than to create one anew. Special work done by special people! 🌟Please throw a party for the wonderfully skilled, patient, and dedicated restoration artists, workers, and their families. They deserve celebration, and their loved ones would delight in seeing their work in person.
I realize now why I love you video's so much Stephanie. It's like watching a version of Downton Abbey with the original Upstairs Downstairs but in modern day settings. Containing daily life, visitors, family, home decore, menu's etc. Daily life on a larger scale but so intriguing. Thank you for sharing. 💕🇦🇺
So many lovely things to look at everywhere you go. The wonderful thing about Europe is that you are surrounded by history and beauty at every turn. I hope people do their best to keep it that way. Modern buildings may keep the heat in well but they don't please my soul at all. Congratulations to Steve and Sara. They are such a lovely couple.
(from Sharon, Australia) Stephanie you are just a gem:)) Without exception your vlogs are the highlight of my days off work and on the weekends. I cannot wait to come and stay at La Lande once more next summer. A bientot, Sharon and Tim
Cant tell you how much i love these videos. We have followed lalande's journey from the beginning of escape to the chateau and following programmes, and we have always loved your segments and said you should have your own show!
Chapel is becoming so beautiful!! Fay is a lovely person!! Congratulations Sara and Steve!!! Thank you for the tour of the Americans! What a fantastic chateau they have! Wonderful and thoughtful antiques and they are so nice!! Glad you are staying there!!❤
The unrenovated chapel in the square tower - highlights how much work has gone into restoring Le Lande chapel. It would be wonderful if this amazing restoration team could work on the square tower chapel !!!
Grant is great. The chapel is looking absolutely gorgeous! ❤Congratulations to the happy couple!!🎉 I can’t wait to see your father’s tiles placed in the kitchen. 😊
The artisans doing the chapel are amazing. The level of detail is astonishing 😊
now people will perhaps understand the cost involved.......for such a rare building....it had to be done. 🤩
For each of us who have a star, the journey of restoration is like a beautiful dream.
I'm not religious but I was glad to donate a star to the chapel. Those artisans are so valuable.
That chapel is a work of art...It is absolutely beautiful.
Grant is priceless. All the great handyman work AND he cooks? Perfect.

The restoration team have done a fabulous job. It truly is stunning.
Many thanks to Ed and Candace for allowing a tour of their home! I absolutely love it! It's delightful to get to know them a little better as well.
It’s beautiful
One of my favorite vlogs of late. The gilding in the chapel, Sarah and Steve's wedding, and then Ed and Candace's chateau - which is stunning.
The big chairs gave me a Fabergé Egg feeling. And the Chapel restores are true artists, fabulious work.
The beautiful thing about handmade or hand painted things is that they aren’t perfect.
Those guys working in the chapel are amazing. I hope there are more projects in the chateau they can work on.
Stephanie is already working with the contracting company of the chapel restorers to do the beam replacement installation in the ceiling of the grand salon/floor of the rooms upstairs. Not the painting part but the structural engineering part. I am hoping they will stay on to get the terrace repaired too.
The restorators are amazing, the talent and skills!! Also all the French is just so fabulous and enjoyable!!!

❤❤❤❤❤
The people’s chateau you stayed at is beautiful & the people seem fine as well. Thank you Stephanie for sharing & sorting out the video-you are so thoughtful.
Hope the little ventilation grills are screened to stop mice from coming in. They can squeeze through the tiniest holes.
Oh my the artwork in the chateau is mind blowing. What a treasure they have. I would love to see their attic.
Congrats to Steve and Sara.
The Chapel is stunning! I can’t believe the change!
Fay is lovely, I hope we see more of her. I really liked the other couples Chateau, the way they decorated it and colours used, it feels homey.
I really hope that Faye becomes a regular visitor! What a wonderful person she is!
The poor little boy and his family is smiling in they heaven when they see the chapel is gone be restored.
The chapel looks amazing the colours. Money well spent needs a calendar or book of restoration work.
The tapestry from Aubusson looks like it could have been for a chair upholstery.
The LaLande chapel will be the "jewel' of France! ❤
My goodness the chapel is so beautiful! Enjoyed watching Thank you the chateau you showed is wonderful!
What an incredible milestone moment, to see all the stars in place… just wow!! 🤩🤩🤩

A beautiful staircase of your friends chateau.

The Chapel is BEAUTIFUL! ❤
With all the colors and patterns in the chapel, it looks like I'm looking through a kaleidoscope.❤
The chapel is magnificent! What a change - I think people will come from miles around to see it once it’s done. I love how excited Phillip was to share his porcelain treasures. He really is such a connoisseur. Congratulations to Sara and Steve on their wedding.

Your spelling is very creative; the spelling of the family's name is actually Nadaillac.
@@Sparrowdean Thank you so much for correcting me. There are a lot of typos too, I see. Let me put it right.
The restoration of the chapel is coming along quite nicely. It's very beautiful. I am glad to see that Lancelot's eyes are looking all better. Thank you.

The rose you liked so much at the Chelsea Flower show might be called "Chandos Beauty" in the UK and "Sweet Love" in France.
Marvelous vlog, Stephanie!
La Lande is abundantly blessed. The artisans has breathed new life into the chapel! Amazing restoration work!!
How wonderful that the decorations in your Chapel are a rare style!
