so many of you asked questions about our home and i just uploaded part 1 of a home q&a video where we shared about the application process and answered questions about the process. we will subsequently be doing a part 2 to answer questions about the renovation and our finances. but for now, you can find part 1 here: ruclips.net/video/xRZpCGvS3cg/видео.html 😊
What a humble down to earth little kingdom! Just the kind of family friend you will feel the comfort & at ease sitting in for tea with. Those who understand what truly matters will understand what truly matters. Love every bit of this walkthrough than some ATAS-corpo office style BTO with thousands of smart functions... Ever the thought of lower floors with the smell of soil crosses your mind? 😂
I just like the way you being so real and honest with the whole renovation process. And also reminding all new home owner the limitation we have and to appreciate with what we have.1 of the best sharing video ive watched so far.👍🏼
i really like the reflection section u filmed. it really resonance what most of us feels when we're searching for ideas for renovation. thumbs up and please keep this up!
so glad to hear that you enjoyed the reflection bit! was a little apprehensive about sharing at first but i’m glad that it’s relatable and glad that it can encourage others too :~)
I like the way you presented your comfy house. It is well explained and very detailed. You have shown that young generations doing their renovation within their capabilities and not necessary to the extend of having a luxurious house. I also like how you end the video with self reflection and learn to be more appreciative. Bravo!
Thank you for sharing how your beautiful home looks like. I like the realization that you have come to ; what’s most important is that your home works for you, and not how it compares against others’. I am also impressed that your 2-door wardrobe is large enough - you two must be minimalists!
yay glad you enjoyed the video and also the little takeaway that i shared!! and HAHA yes we try to be cautious with the clothes we buy! thank you v much for watching and leaving this lovely comment, syamsul 😊
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and your personal thoughts. I can see you have put in alot of efforts on your house ! Indeed true what we see online are often the polished version. It is so easy to envy and get swayed by the pretty things we see and start to compare. You have reminded me on managing my expectations and be grateful for whatever we have currently. Looking forward to your next video and God Bless!
You have a good head on your shoulders! Not everyone is as practical, logical and realistically honest with themselves these days. :) so glad to have stumbled on your video. Im gonna follow!
Finally something i can totally relate to. Not just some id staged house that snagged a 6 figure reno that very few can achieve. Well done & Thank you for keeping it real. all the best wishes for yr new house. Definitely taking some of yr ideas and advice. God bless
thank you for your sweet comment!!! we’re so so glad that it was helpful for you! it is exactly our intention to want to share our journey in a real and raw manner ☺️
I completely get what you meant when you talked about feeling dissatisfied with your home. I felt the same way after I did my pre-wedding shoot. While the photos turned out well, I think my expectations were just too high as my mind was constantly fed with amazing photographs on social media. Thank you for your sharing! 💯
yes oh my haha. it’s a challenge, managing expectations and remembering that what we have is worth being grateful for even though it’s not perfect heh. no problem, glad the sharing blessed you in some way! 😊
One of the best home tours i have seen - honest, raw and comprehensive 👍i like the fact that it is not staged to make it look perfect. I appreciate the fact that you leave the lightings of each section of the apartment, and the messy wiring behind your TV as they are. Good work there 👍👍 oh and btw your apartment is beautiful 😊
Appreciate the last portion of your video a lot. Me and my wife are preparing for our Reno and move into Bidadari and had kept to a Budget for most parts but we find ourselves pushing the Budget and adding more stuff as we go. Thanks for the last portion it helped keep me in check! Cheers! 😊
whew exciting times for you and your wife, congrats on finding a new home! ☺️ i’m glad the video encouraged you in some way! all the best with preparing for your new place :’)
I love your home tour video and it fits me well with my budget as compared to many other home tour video I had watched. Your video is real. I really appreciate you sharing your experience. Thank you. Oh and I agree that you should really change the lights at your dining table. Other than that, you have a very beautiful home. Thumbs up.
yay i’m so glad that it was relevant dor you! thank you also for leaving an encouraging comment ☺️ yesss will have to spend some time to figure out how to change or modify the lights
it is warm and cosy!!! unfortunately it’s too dark so it gets a bit hard to see at night. we recently changed the lights tho, and it’s sooo much better!!! and still cosy :’)
nice house! I suggest moving the study tables next to the window so with the laptops bsck facing the window (does that makes sense?😂) to lessen squinting and that when you want to rest your eyes from the laptop you can view outside
Lovely home you have 😊 Love your sharing at the end of the video, its a very real sharing compared to all the influencers out there who get sponsored for almost everything 😅
glad you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for watching!! really appreciate your encouragement ☺️☺️ i suppose it’s different for influencers cos they’re able to get sponsorships as a result of their career path and we tend to inevitably see more of them online!
When I have my own home next time, I hope to have a very minimalistic house, focusing on practicality to save money! Thanks for doing this tour and sharing! It's useful!
Thank you for sharing and being so sincere and honest of your financial status. Not many are like you! Be thankful that you have a roof over your head All the best! God Bless!

Looking fwd to your next video.👌
Love this home tour. One of the best so far. It is not overdosed with products placements and you yes I love how you are contented and grateful with what you have. Your house is beautiful.
Nice place! Very close to my ideal design. Any thoughts of doing a home review after living for a year. What changed or what you would like to change. Thanks!
Nice video. Perhaps you could change the light bulbs to more powerful ones if you want brighter lights at the dining area without changing the entire set of lights.
Thank you for sharing. I appreaciate your truthful thoughts, being down to earth, and keeping the decos and renos within budget. Agree that we should all should be grateful for what we have. I personally like the toilets becos of it's wall tiles. :-)
Do you have trouble with smell from cooking since your kitchen is open concept? My concern with open concept kitchen is though it looks more spacious, the smell from food can get to the living room and get absorbed by furniture. Apologies if you've already answered this elsewhere! Also, how much did the kitchen cabinets cost?
we do sometimes get problems with the smell and smoke, especially if we are cooking sth oily like steak. but we just turn on the fans to let our house air haha and we regret not getting a hood!
Thank you for sharing!! It gives a much better perspective on space and size compared to pictures that interior designers post, those always seem distorted to make the space seem bigger. Is there a reason why you didn't install a ceiling fan in any of the rooms?
no problem, so glad to hear that it was helpful for you! ☺️ yes i think interior designers tend to use more wide angle to kinda squeeze the entire space in one photo, so it tends to be a little less accurate of the actual space. about the ceiling fan, it’s because i’m rather tall HAHA so if i raise my hands, i think i will hit the ceiling fan. got a bit of phobia so we decided to just use standing fans 😂
Hi Hillary, you seem to be dissatisfied with the size of the BTO flat, did u previously stay in a big older flat? Spaciousness is key criteria for me and im very hesitant to go with a BTO.
hi anthony! hahaha oops i must have repeated “very small” too many times in the video 😂 i think it definitely was a struggle to adapt because i used to stay in an older HDB with my parents. after some time, i’ve gotten used to it but if given a choice, i would much prefer a flat that’s more similar to the older HDB lay out and size. but due to cost, a bto is the best we could get!
thank you! glad it was helpful for you 😊😊 hmm i think there isn’t that wok hey when you cook with induction HAHA but other than that..... it’s pretty good, the cleaning is a lot easier cos there are less crevices
Beautiful home :) If you don't mind sharing, what is the distance between your block and the opposite block that your windows are facing? My upcoming BTO is pretty badly blocked (25m away, we sacrificed view for a better floor plan) and I'm trying to get a sense for how it might feel. Thanks for your help!
hello, thank you! hmm i’m not too sure of the exact distance but it is pretty close HAHA. but i think it doesn’t bother us that much.... you can consider installing mesh curtains on top of the usual curtains that you can use in the day time to get some privacy. it’s enough to block out the view from opposite units. hope this helps!
On the security level, if there is a fire how do you do it was planned, Because living in a tower like a Tower of London I don't know if the security is good
yes that’s true, i think only more recently, the new flats come with a fire alarm system of sorts. so if there is a fire, it will ring and your neighbours can call for the firefighters. thankfully our firefighters respond very very quickly! :)

I would recommend getting a Steigen drying rack! It is pricey but definitely helps in drying clothes where you couldnt get much sun!

The toilet cistern with the sink is extremely common in Japanese homes. Its a great way to save water too.
oh so that’s what it’s called!! wah maybe we should have done a bit more research back then 😓

Nice neat and wonderful design.
When I visited turkey , I fell in love with their homes . It's something that Singapore homes lack - the sense of comfort and ease.
hello we live in a letter box unit
ooo i’ve personally never seen one! shall try to search on youtube and see if i can find any :~)
but it’s true tho, the newer houses in sg nowadays are small!! some challenge there in finding ways to make it cosy but space saving hahaha
Very nice house tour! 😍 Thanks for sharing, love your open kitchen... makes the space looks so much more spacious & with more natural light too! ❤️
Really hit the spot in the reflection part of the video. Your home looks lovely btw =D

and my next favourite has got to be the toilet tiles HEHE
May I know how much is your kitchen renovation? For the countertop, what material did you choose? Is it highly high resistant?
i cant rmb the cost for the kitchen itself. we chose quartz and yes, it’s been real resistant so far :)
Curious why never cover up the bomb shelter fully?
Niceeee video!May I know where to get the know holder in your kitchen? U have a link?
it is from tangs at takashimaya!

no problem, so glad to hear that it was helpful for you!
Black kitchen tabletop is smart.
haha it is practically quite helpful! only kinda sad that it makes the kitchen a lot darker than it already is :’(
nice. minimalist style 🤩
WAH LOOKS SO GOODDDDD!
waiting for you to visit us hurhur
Nice and neat and tidy plus simple

Interesting, thanks for the tour! Out of curiosity, what's the square foot of your home?
no problem! i’m not so sure about the sq foot but it’s 93 sq metres!
hihi, can i ask if the fridge door be opened more than 90 degree for cleaning?
hello! by right, it can but we made a mistake with the placement 😅 so we can’t open ours cos it’s too close to the wall hahaha
tks for sharing...a very warm and comfortable home really!!! GREAT JOB!!!
