A very nicely decorated house ! Can't believe this is a 4-room flat ! Looks sooooo BIG !
Don't think it's a 4 room flat, it looks bigger than a 5 room executive unit. Which 4 room flat is able to fit a 12 seat dinning table, with 2 full bedrooms, a long corridor toilet, walk in wardrobe and a big study room?
Just to update that owner posted the size of unit which is 1130sqft! That's bigger than my 5 room flat!
Can also see that owner hacked down many of the walls as the 2 bedrooms don't have any windows and totally redesigned the whole floor layout. Must have cost a fortune on the reno, maybe $50K or more?

@@acejon2162 Her house is 1,200 sq ft according to her interview with TST. My kallang BTO’s only 1000 :( Her reno is $100k though. But I’d say pretty worth it? One of the warmest houses I’ve seen.
@@shermainesng Wth? I know of old 30-40 old 4 rooms and it's still 90sqm. Wow this TPY house must be even older?
I love how its not just another nice home decor/tour but it's filled with all the little elements that have a story behind it, or even reflects you and your hubby's personalities! And that's what makes it a beautiful home 😍
The master bathroom is my favourite, love how it's extended with the sink area and how natural light shines in, and the tiles and faucets 👏👏👏
The frosted windows is a great hack for corridor units! We all love privacy and also light yeah

Hi Annette! How do you feel about sleeping in a bedroom with no windows? Do you feel your natural circadian rhythm being affected?
Other than the study room, I noticed that your bedrooms do not have windows (guess you have re-orient all your rooms). Would that be abit too claustrophobic / “stuff up”? And no outdoor views? They look beautiful but is there a downside without windows? Thks.
Yes I also realised so. Smells will be trapped after staying for a Long time and you can’t ventilate the rooms. But I realised although the tiles are definitely cool and very characteristic, it will trap all the dirt, grease from cooking for the backsplash and mould in the bathroom...

This is my favourite HDB tour on youtube. The colours are not my style but it feels like every corner is filled with something personal, and you can speak enthusiastically about the design choices you made. There's no superfluous elements. I absolutely love it and keep coming back to it.
Roughly how much was spent on doing the entire place, if you can recall? That'll help me gauge if i would even think about doing anything similar.. lol. But love those big black mirrors! And so much light entering the unit, which you have frosted the glass to give a diffused light feel. Amazing

Any concern over security since there are no window grills for windows along the corridor? Does this also mean windows shut 100% of the time ? 🤔
good question! in the day, i usually work in the living room (i like sitting on the floor haha) so i leave the windows by the dining table + the windows by the kitchen open, then leave the aircon on fan mode. it isn’t much of a security issue since the windows are in my line of sight. so far it’s been v safe and we are friends with all our neighbors too - so if i see them walk by my window i usually just say hi😂
ps. i work in the studyroom at night, but we close the windows + leave the aircon on at night so no issues there :)

remember renovation = cash. the more the renovation, the less cash-rich the person is. i've seen so many young couples pouring in money for a fancy looking house. but it's all going into liability. because when you sell the flat, the extra fanciness added won't increase the sales price.
Love how everything is consistent! You had a theme and you stuck with it. I have seen some people who had a theme of like say ‘simplicity’ and ‘Scandinavian’ in mind . But when you go into their rooms they splash it what freakin bold coloured bedsheets or a hell lot of stuffed toys like errrrrrrrrr 😂😂
The bedrooms don't have any windows.
Industrial can come off a lil too cold but the vintage style adds ample warmth to it and it came out beautifully. Luv yr crib baby gurrrrl~ it’s a nice combination from these vy diff elements.

This house is full of character, and I love it! I see that there are major changes to the floor plan configuration as well. Looks like there are also embedded water pipes in the master bedroom toilet, seeing how the shower is mounted. Interesting.

Hi Annette, thanks for bringing us on a virtual house tour. : ) HAHAHA I just graduated and currently in the process of looking for a flat, hence would like to ask some questions that you can probably use it in the Q&A segment in your next video heheh. 1) Could I ask what made you pick a resale flat over a BTO ? 2) Did you managed to get some housing grant ? 3) How do you do your budgeting for ID / renovation or rather for a design that is similar to your flat, how much would it cost for the ID ? 4) Noticed that your master bedroom does not have windows around your bed area, do you feel suffocated by that ? Will be looking forward to the next part of the video. Could I ask, how did you go about choosing an interior designer? And what renovation challenges did you face along the way?
Is the Master toilet within the closet at the end? The transition didn't make it clear but going by the windows I'm guessing it is considering the window placement. Also the cost of reno would be nice to know. I'm also guessing the storeroom is the study area and the real master is the walk-in closet combined with the 2nd bedroom of the original house.
can share the price you spent on renovating resale flat? I am deciding between BTO n resales. definitely one of the top3 hdb i saw on RUclips
its about 120k but i will be sharing more details and tips in my upcoming video on renovation so do look out for that to help you decide :)

how to you maintain dust free environment? i noticed that as i place more deco at home, and especially using grey walls, grey surfaces, it gets dusty easily and unnoticed unless you go near. super frustratingg. do you clean regularly?
I don’t notice any windows opened. There are a few clear/frosted glass window. They don’t use the TV so even less dust. No windows in bedrooms mean no disturbances at night but no natural air ventilation and sunlight in bedroom at home is a very novel idea to me.
Love the choice of the pale blue dot.

We have the same gold toilet bowl too! FYI the flush buttons do spoil around 4-5 years in. Get stuck and all. Usually call a plumper in to fix it every now and then

Hi nice house. Just wondering how much effort to clean the house? Do you do your own cleaning or hire someone to do it? Can’t imagine moping and cleaning this house, it’s too much work with so many decors just saying

Hi! Can I check how many mm is your dropdown of your false ceiling? Noticed due to the false ceiling, there's no ceiling fans in the living room. How do you cool yourself down there?

it was about 120k but the upkeep is not too tedious :)

can i ask how many SQM is this 4 room resale? I bought a 5 room 94 years old resale (technically its a recent BTO) and yours look like almost the same size
it’s 1130sqft! :) will mention again in the next ep along w some of the most-asked questions here so do look out for that!
@@AnnetteLeeMusic thanks for the response. Oh thats about 105sqm. My 5 room is 112sqm to 115sqm. That shows resale homes are generally bigger in sizes. Your 4 room is almost as big as a current 5 room.

Older flats do not have a bomb shelter. My neighbour hacks it down to make a seamless transition from the living room and the kitchen.

nope its not too difficult! we put a layer of epoxy over the top so its easy to mop!
