Having Khalil Rountree end the video was an incredibly smart move. His struggles encapsulate the whole video and is a perfect representation of the positivity that fighting can generate.
Never judge a book by its cover. I never expected her to be such a hardcore fan, she wasn’t joking when she said she was a fan. She knows more than most people do. This was a great video from a very intelligent woman!
This was awesome. The fact that you all found an actual hard-core fan who could give us her thoughts from a psychological perspective is really fantastic. Great content fellas
Rose is a fascinating person, because she's arguably been groomed from a young age to be almost completely mentally dependent on her groomer, in this case, Pat Barry. She takes almost constant guidance and cues from him, clearly visible during her fight with Ezparza recently, where Barry spoke over Trevor Whitman in between rounds. She often reverts back to her younger self, regressing back to when she was first with Barry, because that was when she effectively relinquished herself over to his more dominate, controlling personality. It seems to be an unspoken thing in MMA circles, because you can see people clearly feel sorry for her and how shes been treated.
I know it happened in the WEC, but I'd love to hear the docs opinions on Paulo Filho's actions during his second fight against Chael Sonnen. He was doing some weird stuff, not listening to his corner, looking towards and speaking to someone that wasn't in the cage (possibly hallucinating?), etc. Frank Mir was providing commentary for that fight, and he was so baffled by Filho's behavior, he couldn't help but question what was going on. At the time, prior to going to rehab and dropping several fights in a row, Paulo Filho was considered one of the best middleweights in the world, but he was definitely having some mental health struggles during that bout.
I think the biggest thing with the Jon Jones and DC interview was that Jones didn't know they were being filmed at that specific moment, but DC knew (I think) and played with that 100%, calling him out how fake he actually is. If I remember correctly, this surprised many fans of Jon Jones since many believed he was this calm dude and pretty much "the good guy". And clearly, we can see that all of this was fake lol.
It would be nice to just see a psychologist! This video at least accurately reflects the field of modern day psychology, in its inability to analyse anything but the totally mundane.
Excellent assortment of clips. I forgot about some of these, like the DC and Jones clip. The insight from a professional standpoint was fascinating. This nuanced against the feelings and thoughts as a fan was really terrific. Loved it! 🐧
Such a good idea for a video genuinely fascinating I was captivated for the entire duration, I’ve been really really impressed with the content on this channel so far second channels are usually subpar or redundant but so far this has been a great second channel and could serve as a blueprint for other channels wanting to branch out well played mma on point gang
Killer episode!❤ This was a spectacular idea for a video and I think it could be a bit of a series idea. The psychological analysis is fascinating and I would definitely watch more of this. Thanks for all of the passion and creativity you bring to the MMA media. This channel is, for me, some of the best MMA content I consume outside of watching fights.
She could do Cejudo, Izzy, Rampage, O'Malley, Tony, Bisping, Chael, Pimblett, Khabib, Gaethje etc. Heaps of characters in mma, Pena, Valentina, Perry, Till, Lewis, Whitaker...this could be a 10+ part series 😄
i got goosebumps when rose said the lords prayer while getting trash talked by joanna, that is my personal top savage moment of all MMA, it´s right up there with fedor getting slammed on his head just to reverse kevin and submit him! those are real "build different" moments.
@@leonrussell9607 hahaha because she got very short hair which is almost like she isbald and that happens when you get leukemia! very smart line of thought indeed!
Absolutely loved this Would be great to hear more. Did Conor have fighters mentally beaten before they set foot in the cage & is it now gone? Also, when the UFC heavily hype a fighter, how does that affect their opponent mentally.
I want a series or something on this. More, MORE, please. Also get guys like Sean Strickland, Jorge Masvidal, Tony Ferguson, Kimbo(RIP) and some more OG's of the fight game. We got Nate on this one, like to see Nick as well... Great job though... Just would like to see more!!!
She is good. she knows her craft well! also very attractive! and i really liked how she analyzed each fighter, how they behave or why they behave the way they do
Ok so you bring a psychologist on and you don’t show her Sean Strickland?! Y’all dropped the ball on this. That man is a treasure trove of crazy.
Definitely dropped the ball.
No they didn't now we want part 2
He needs his own video lol
Whats there to evaluate on him, obviously he’s mentally ill
Sean's impervious to psychoanalysis.

This was really well done. Gives such great insight into Rose’s thought process.
Bullshit. Her, her corner, and her partner were all too 'in the moment' to realise she was supposed to fight like a champ... Or even at all.

Blow and alcohol addiction ruined him, what a shame bc he was great
The only issue was that he was locked in the cage with the reflection of perfection. But seriously, that's a great comment.
He was mesmerized by the biggest arms and all the charms
"Ohhh so you are a psychologist now"

One of my favourite MMA videos. This deserves a part 2 as Amber is brilliant!
incredible analysis what a lovely human
The best part of the Jon / DC interview was when DC is like "Jon... you think I'm just gonna sit there and let you kill me Jon?"
The high brow MMA content we have all been craving. Thanks for the quality content, im glad I found this.
That analysis of Jones and DC was straight up brilliant. I've never noticed how visibly insecure Jones was about his image before
That's all he cares about

I'm glad you guys had a psychologist who knew the context of these situations
It would be nice to see a psychologist analyzing the crazy guys in mma:
Sean Strickland, Jiri Prochazka, Jon Jones, Tony Ferguson, Mike Perry
Mike Perry isnt crazy he’s just a genuine black man from the hood
Khabib
